It's been a few years since you were born, and Poppy and Branch couldn't have been happier. They loved everything about you. You were a (F/c) pop troll with (S/f/c) hair, and (F/c) eyes. You loved everything the trolls did. Hugging, parties. and all of their holidays. Your personality was a mixture of Poppy's and Branch's. You were sweet, happy and positive, however, you also had a cautious and sarcastic side like Branch. However, there was one small problem. You didn't sing. You were old enough by now to form and speak full sentences, so you definitely were capable of it, but for some reason, you never would. Every time all of the other trolls would sing, Poppy and Branch would do everything they could to get you to sing along, Branch even sung solo sometimes to get you to sing, but it never worked. Poppy and Branch were getting concerned. Of course, other than that, you were the perfect daughter, and a troll full of happiness. You always liked to listen to all of the others sing, even if you didn't do it yourself. You would even dance to their songs, but you still wouldn't sing. So one day, Poppy and Branch decided to talk about it. "What's wrong, Poppy?" Branch asked. "Oh. Hi, Branch. Nothing. I'm fine." She said. "Lair." Branch said. Poppy just looked away.

"Come on, Poppy. What's bothering you? You can tell me." Branch said. Poppy sighed. "Ok. It's just... I'm worried, Branch." She said. "Worried? About what?" He asked. "Our daughter. I'm just worried about her. Why won't she sing, Branch?" Poppy asked. "I... I don't know, Poppy. I'm sorry. I wish I knew." Branch said. "I just don't understand. She can talk, she can dance, she loves going to parties, and celebrating our holidays, she can do everything else we do, so why won't she sing?" Poppy asked. "Maybe, she just isn't ready for it yet. I mean remember how long it took me to sing? Ever since my grandma's death, I never sung again until we were about to be cooked for dinner." Branch said. Poppy chuckled. "Yeah, I know. I'm just worried about her, you know? I mean singing is the biggest part of our culture. I mean it's good she likes everything else we do, but if she doesn't sing..." Poppy said worriedly. "Hey, Poppy. She'll be alright, okay?" Branch asked as he hugged her. Poppy smiled at him. What they didn't know, is that you were listening outside the door. You were sad, you didn't think that not singing would worry your parents, so today, was the day you would sing a song for them. You smiled at the thought, and quickly ran outside. You went off to find Peppy, your grandpa. You made your way to his house and knocked on his door. Peppy opened the door and smiled. "Hey, it's my granddaughter!" He said. You giggled. Peppy picked you up. "And what brings you here, (Y/n)?" He asked. You giggled again.

"Well, you know how I've been doing everything that us trolls like to do except for singing?" You asked. "Yes. Why is that, (Y/n)?" Peppy asked. You sighed. "I... I've just been, scared." You said. "Scared?" Peppy asked. "I mean, I do love music, especially pop, but I've never sung before. But because I don't sing it's begun to worry mommy and daddy, so I've decided I'd sing for them today." You said. Peppy smiled. "Really? That's wonderful! What song are you going to sing?" Peppy asked. "I'm... not sure, I was hoping you could help me decide." You said. Peppy smiled. "Of course! Let's start right now!" Peppy said. Peppy sung you some of his favorite songs as you listened to him sing, you swung to the music but still didn't sing yet. "Those are just some of my favorite songs, now you can discover what yours are, and you can pick one of those." Peppy said. "How many songs are there?" You asked. "A whole lot, little (Y/n)." Peppy said. This made you kind of nervous. You did research on a bunch of different songs and music artists, and later on found a couple favorites. However, your most favorite song was (F/s), and you decided that's the one you would sing to your parents. Before you practiced the song, Peppy came in. "(Y/n)?" He asked. You jumped and dropped the microphone.

"Oops! Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He said. "It's okay. I thought you were mommy or daddy." You said. "Why are you so afraid of them hearing you?" He asked. "Because... both of them have such good voices. I mean, my mom is the queen and my daddy is the king, which makes me the princess. And the princess is supposed to have a good singing voice, right? What if my voice isn't good? What would Pop Village do? Would they kick me out? Would mommy and daddy not want me anymore? Would I no longer be the princess?" You asked. Peppy was heartbroken. He had no idea you felt that way. "Oh, sweetie." He said as he picked you up. "Honey, you think it matters wether or not you have a good voice? None of us care about that." He said. "Really?" You asked. "Of course not. Your mommy and daddy love you for who you are. They wouldn't get rid of you for not having a good singing voice, nobody would. You're one of us, so we will love you no matter what." Peppy said. You cried tears of joy and hugged him. "Thank you, grandpa. I love you." You said. He hugged you back. "I love you too, (Y/n)." He said. Then you jumped out of his hands. "I'm going to sing for them now." You said. Peppy smiled. "That's my girl." He said.

Meanwhile Poppy and Branch were looking for you. "Have you seen (Y/n)?" Branch asked Biggie. He shook his head. "No, I haven't. Sorry. Mr. Dinkles and I can help you look though." He said. "Oh, Poppy, where could she be?!" Branch asked. "I don't know. But don't worry, we'll find her." Poppy said. "Hey guys!" Cooper called. All of them looked at him. "(Y/n) says she wants to show you something!" Cooper said. "(Y/n)?" Poppy asked. Poppy, Branch and Biggie followed Cooper to a small stage. "Cooper? What's going on? What is this? Where's (Y/n)?" Branch asked. "Watch." Cooper said. Poppy and Branch looked confused, but watched the stage. Meanwhile you were hyperventilating. You took deep breaths behind the stage. "Calm down, (Y/n). You can do this." You told yourself. You took a deep breath, then walked onto the stage. You looked at your parents, who were smiling. You smiled, then began to sing. Poppy and Branch were shocked. After a while, the snack pack joined you in your song. You sung the rest of the song with them. Once you were done, you looked back at your parents. They still seemed surprised. This made you nervous, but they quickly ran up to you. "(Y/n), you can sing!" Poppy hugged you. "You... you like my voice?" You asked. "Like it? We loved it! That was amazing!" Branch said. "Why did you wait so long to sing?" He asked. "I just... I was afraid I'd have a bad singing voice, and then you guys wouldn't love me anymore." You said. They were surprised. "Oh, sweetie. We will always love you, even if you did have a terrible voice." Poppy hugged you again. "But it wasn't terrible! Your voice was amazing!" Branch said. "Really?" You asked. "Really!" Biggie said. You smiled. "Thanks, guys." You said. You spent the rest of the afternoon singing with the snack pack and your parents.
