You Have A Nightmare

"Goodnight, mommy. Goodnight, Daddy!" You called. "Goodnight!" Branch said. "Sweet dreams." Poppy said. Then you went back to your room. You changed into your pajamas then got into bed. However, your dreams were going to be anything but sweet tonight. As soon as you closed your eyes, you fell asleep.

~Dream~

You were singing the song Total Eclipse Of The Heart while using a flower for a microphone. Meanwhile Poppy and Branch were outside hanging your clothes out to dry.

And I need you more than ever

Poppy suddenly turned around with wide eyes as she saw Chef approaching. Branch did too. "(Y/n)! Look out!" Poppy said as she ran toward you.

And we'll only be making it right

"(Y/n)!" Branch shouted as he ran toward you.

And we'll never be wrong-

You quickly turned around and saw Chef about to grab you. Poppy and Branch quickly shoved you out of the way as Chef grabbed them instead. You screamed as you fell off a cliff and bounced off a flower and onto the ground. You quickly looked up and heard Poppy and Branch screaming. "Mom! Dad!" You shouted.

~Dream end~

You gasped and quickly shot out of bed. "Mommy!" You shouted. Poppy and Branch quickly bursted the door open and looked at you with worry. "(Y/n) sweetie?" Branch asked. "What's wrong?" Poppy asked. You cried and hugged Poppy tightly. "I had a nightmare!" You said. "A nightmare?" Branch asked. "What was it about?" Poppy asked. You sniffed and turned away. "Do you not want to talk about it?" Branch asked. "No. I'll tell you." You sniffed again. "Well, remember that story Daddy told us about his grandma?" You asked. Poppy nodded. "What about it?" She asked. "I... I had a nightmare, I... I was singing the same song as daddy, and the same thing happened, but the Bergen took the two of you." You said. Poppy's eyes widened. Poppy and Branch looked at each other for a moment. "Oh, (Y/n)." Branch said softly. Poppy and Branch sat down beside you. "Hey, it's okay, (Y/n). That won't happen. I promise." Poppy said. You sniffed and looked at her. "How can you be sure?" You asked. "Well, for starters, the Bergens don't eat us anymore, remember?" Poppy asked. You nodded slightly. "Come here." Poppy said. Poppy gave you a big hug. You smiled and hugged her back. Poppy and Branch were about to go back to bed, but Poppy could tell you were still scared. And so did Branch. "Do you want one of us to sleep with you tonight?" Poppy asked. You looked up and nodded slowly. "I know. How about you sleep with us in our room tonight?" Branch asked. You smiled. "Really?" You asked. "Sure, come on, (Y/n)." Poppy smiled. You smiled and followed them to their room. You climbed in the bed and slept in between the two. "Goodnight, (Y/n)." Poppy said. "Night." You said. It wasn't too long until you fell asleep again. Poppy smiled when she saw you smile in your sleep. "I hope this dream is better than the last." She said.
