Chapter 14
Destiny POV
About 3 hours of getting to know each other and Killua and I are great friends. Leorio is now a running monster due to the pill I gave him. Note to self cut pill usage in half because people can't handle the full strength of pill. Maybe Killua could, but i'm not going to give it to him yet. I don't know if he would be very mentaly stable after talking it. I don't want to put myself or others at risk due to my curiosity. Right now I am trying to hunt Leorio down; everyone is right behind me.
" um.. Leorio are you alright?" I say slightly worried.
"I AM FINE! NO MORE THAN FINE! I'M GREAT!!!! THIS MUST BE THAT PILL YOU GAVE MEEEEE!" He shouted happily at me. I reach into my bag and pull out a notebook and pen and make my mental note a real note.
"Destiny-chan what did you give him?" Kurapika asked bewildered at the site of Leorio. Well how do I say this. Oh! I know!
" I was trained by a doctor who specializes in herbal medicines! Leorio used one of the pills that I make to boost up stamina and strength but I think I should have given him a smaller dosage." Kurapika gave a 'are you serious face'. I blush and give him a small smile to say sorry. This got Killua attention.
" hey dest-chan can I try one?" Killua asked hopefully.
" Killua I only gave it to him because he was falling behind and low in the stamina department. You look fine, you're not even sweating." I responded.
Killua looks deflated but bounces up as we see stairs.
"Hey dest-chan and Killua want to race to the end?" Gon asked hyperly. I smiled and nodded my head. I looked over to Killua and he looked cocky.
"Sure but I doubt you both will be able to keep up with me!" Killua says all smug. That's it I was going to be nice, but I refuse to be beaten by a damn 12 year old! I put chakra to the bottom of my feet and get ready. I will show my power a little like wall running and super speed.
"3.. 2.. 1.. GO!" Gon yells they both run and me being generous let them get a head start.
"Destiny aren't you going?" Kurapika asked. I smiled. And took off. Everything around me slows down a bit. I rand weaving in and out around people. I see Gon and Killua Right next to each other. I jumped and started to run on the side of the tunnel. I felt the adrenaline run in my veins. I looked up and that's where I messed up. I made eye contact with Hisoka and Gittarackur. Well shit. They both look super surprised. Well to be honest I think everyone is. I am running sideways on a wall. Hisoka had a look of wanting and Gittarackur had a look of interest. I lost it and used a boost and caught up to Gon and Killua. They don't seem to notice me yet.
"Hey Killua should we slow down and see if she can catch up?" Gon looked worried. I giggled and that caught their attention and they look over their shoulders and see me running on the wall. The look on there face was Hilarious I wish I had a phone to take a picture!
"No need Gon-kun I just gave you both a head start! Well eat dust!" I shout. I boost up and catch up with Mr.Mustache guy. We came up to the opening and I was the first one there and looked behind me and saw Gon and Killua there panting and huffing. "I win"I smugly say to Killua. He grunts and looks away. This boy just pulled a goddamn Uchiha move on me! I smiled and ran up and hugged him. His reaction was priceless; it blew up in red! His ears are bright pink. He just froze. I smiled and snuggled him. He's so cute! I let go and go over to Gon and snuggle him.
"I had fun! Let's do that again!" I happily say. Killua's face went from red to a glare. Is he mad at me or is he jelly? We look around and see a forest with thick fog. I zoned out until I saw Hisoka throw his cards at the examiner and the fake one. The fake one was shot in the head and the examiner caught them. "DEST-CHAN ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!?!" Gon and the others circle around me.
" What do you mean?'" i was so lost.
"That guy 44 threw his cards at you and the examiner!" Killua shouts at me. I look down and see 6 cards in one of my hands. How the hell did they get there? Did I go into automatic mode or something? I looked at them and smiled gently and showed them the cards in my hands.
"I'm fine guys I caught them all!" they all looked shocked at what I said. I walked over to Hisoka and gave him his cards back. God dammit now I can practically feel his want for me. His bloodlust is aimed right at me. I looked up and put a facade and gave them to him.
"You know clown you are going to have to try harder to catch me off guard." I walk away with sass and feel like a badass. but I turned my head the slightest and saw that he was excited with a blood chilling smile. Welp looks like I am getting noticed by Hisoka. I want to facepalm so bad right now. I walk back feeling his eyes on me. I come up to the group and see that Kurapika is in deep thought. So I go from behind and hug him with a happy smile.
Kurapika pov
As we were running I overheard Gon and the silver herd boy wanted to do a race Destiny was happy like always and shook her head yes. The silver haired boy named Killua smugly said that he would leave them all behind. For a second I saw Destiny get mad? Competitive? Gon shouted 3. 2. 1. And go. Gon and Killua bolted and Destiny was still jogging next to me.
"Destiny aren't you going?" I ask with concern. She gives me a warm smile. What a beautiful smile. The next thing I know is she is running so fast like a monster. She passed almost everyone. I try my best to keep up with her so is Leorio. She ran right up the side of the wall. I hung my mouth open with shock. That should be physically impossible! She caught right up with Gon and Killua. She didn't want to win right away; she gave them a head start that's why she waited! She said something to them and then shouted 'Eat Dust!' and ran where I could no longer see her. Gon and Killua ran right after her. She is a mystery she keeps surprising me. When I get to the top with Leorio she is hugging Killua. I will admit I was jealous but I will never say it out loud. It looks like Gon wore his Jealousy on his face because Destiny gave him a hug as well. A little time passes and the door to the stairway closes. The Examiner then says he will take us all to the second phase. He then was interrupted by some guy holding a monkey? Apparently the monkey captures and lures potential food. He then went off saying he was the true Examiner. well everyone started to believe this man as well as I for a second there that was when 44 threw cards at the Examiners to see which was the real one. The next thing made my eyes widen. He threw them right at destiny. But what caught me most of guard was that she looked as if she was in deep thought but caught the cards flawlessly. The only time she looked up out of her thoughts was when Gon shouted his concern at her. She was truly confused until she was told by Killua that she was targeted by 44. She showed us the cards with a gentle smile
"I'm fine guys I caught them all!" she was so confident! How? Did she know about the cards? Or did she make it look like she was in deep thought to throw off 44? I have all these questions but was rudely interrupted to see destiny walk straight up to 44. I felt the blood drop from my face. WHAT IS SHE DOING!!!! IS SHE TRYING TO GET HERSELF KILLED!! She gave the cards back. I was too far away to hear what she said to the clown but he looked at her with greed and excitement. I was Repulsed by his want for Destiny. I turn from them. I must think of a way to protect Destiny from that man. Out of nowhere I feel a soft person hug me from behind. I feel my blood rush to my face. This girl will be the death of me I swear!
Destiny Pov
I was hugging Kurapika and he is quite warm. I was taken out of my thoughts when Mr.Mustache started to run. I let Kurapikago and run over to Gon and Killua. We all started to jog. Everything seems to be going well. I looked over to Killua and decided to pull a small prank.
"Hey killua I meant to ask but umm... Do you like chocolate?" I ask a little slyly. He seemed embarrassed by the question.
"Um... Why do you ask?" flustered by my question. I was laughing to myself. He seemed so confused!
"Well to be honest you smell like sweet chocolate. Did you perhaps have had some chocolate before you came here to the hunter exam?" I say with the sweetest smile I could muster without giggling in amusement. His face is super red and for a second I thought I saw cat ears and a tail pop out.
"Y-ya I ate chocolate before I came you got a problem with it?" he answered Defensively. I almost tackled him with hugs. Almost. I decided to take his hand and smile at the Tsundere.
" No Killua-kun! I quite like the smell. It's nice." I giggled out. I was happy I could tease him. I looked at him and now he was a blushing firetruck. I was laughing so hard on the inside. He tried to change the topic.
"Hey where did Gon and the others go?" he shouted. I knew where they were but I could not see them physically. Looks like Hisoka is on the move. I ran over to them. I looked behind me and saw Killua was not there. Oh well I can do this by myself. I found them. He is choking Gon. but he's not stopping. I felt unbelievable rage fill me. I went into automatic fight mode.

I sprinted right in front of Hisoka. I see that Gon is knocked out. I look over to Kurapika and leorio. They were in the same state as Gon. I guess me being here changed the story a little. I looked right into Hisoka's eyes. In the most threatening voice I have ever uttered I say
"LET HIM GO.'" my bloodlust and rage was Radiating off of me. I was pissed not really at Hisoka but more at myself for changing the story now everything will have a different thing added to it. Damn it! I was having a stare down with the Clown. He stopped choking Gon. he then started to laugh eerily.
"What wonderful bloodlust~ it's a lovely burgundy color!" he says slyly.
I don't care what color I have! DROP HIM. Now." I state deadly serious.
He drops him and I catch him. I smile because I was able to save someone I cared for once. I glare up at him. He says his line about letting me bloom and walks away. I walk over and use healing chakra on all of the boys they groan. I think that they are okay. I pick them all up and run to killua's chakra. I get to them and to say that everyone is surprised is an understatement. They are seeing a 12 year old lifting 3 people on her shoulders. I walk over to Killua and put the boys down.
"Destiny what happened? Are they okay!? Are you okay!?" Killua asked with concern.
"I'm fine! They ran into 44 and he knocked them all out!" I told him. They all groan a wake. I tell them what happened and now we all are standing in front of a big gate. We all walk in and see a pretty girl with blue hair and a VERY big guy. Here is the second phase. If i'm right we cook pigs. And the girl takes a personal grudge against everyone just because some guy says they don't care about being a Gourmet hunter. I just have to stand up for the Gourmet hunters and have a higher chance of passing. But it's up to food prepping and making thank god I saw Food Wars! At least know a good way to cook. We all made our way to the front, then the blue haired girl shouted her introduction.
"Hey everyone my name is Menchi and this is Buhara. We are gourmet hunters! During this phase you are going to cook for us!"
I look around and smile. I think I am able to pass with my food. Then that's when the idiot started to speak out.
"Why do we have to cook? I don't even want to be a lame Gourmet hunter!" others start to band together and shout at her. That pissed me off. Before Menchi could respond I shouted at the group and to say everyone was shocked would be accurate.
"Wow! To think I would have to say this to adults! Grow up! No matter what Hunter type you want to become you must do what our Examiners want! If you can't then drop out here and now! there's no need for petty remarks about their occupation. Don't mock someone's pride or you are bound to be burned." I show distaste to all the people who decided to band together. I could see the smile Menchi and Buhara were hiding.
"Thank you little girl at least you know we are proud as hunters." Menchi thanked me. I smiled at her.
"Alright do to the kindness of this little girl I am willing to give you all a chance to redeem yourselves as potential Hunters! I want you all to cook pork! There is a native pig to this land. Go and find it then come back and prepare your meal then we will taste test all participants." Now we all ran to go find pigs.
