I peek outside my door to see no one. I've been seeing Hank in secret for two weeks now. Gavin and Conan keep getting closer and closer, while I get more and more distant from the both of them. I feel a heavy pang in my heart as I think of how close we used to be. Conan and I used to be inseparable, but now, he has Gavin. He doesn't need me.
I narrow my eyes and swim away. I have Hank. I don't need Conan. Today's the day. I'm going to ask Hank to take me home with him.
"Those human bastards!" Conan curses from his room. I freeze in place.
I look at his door. I don't want him to fight with Gavin. I need to stop them. I approach his door and stare through the crack, watching Conan and Gavin sitting on Conan's bed.
Gavin raises his hands in surrender. "Look, I'm not a part of CyberLife. I don't work with them. I'm just a detective."
Conan stares at him with lidded eyes. "I know, Gavin. I don't blame you. You're not the one keeping us here." He grabs Gavin and brings him closer to his face. "I want to be free, Gavin!" he hisses.
"I know! I can't- What do I do? What can I do to make you feel better?" he asks genuinely.
"I-I-Can I.. kiss you?" Conan asks shyly, looking away. "I want to know what it feels like..."
"How? I can't take any of my gear off without risking death," Gavin explains, frowning. He takes Conan's chin in his hands. "I would love to kiss you, Conan," he whispers. "But how?"
"If I kiss you and breathe into you, I can make you able to breathe and talk underwater. It's-It's something that I don't understand, but I can do it, and it works," Conan explains eagerly, taking Gavin's hands in his own.
My eyes widen. Conan can't give a human our abilities. He can, but he can't! But, I would do the same for Hank... I shake my head, focusing on them.
Gavin stares at Conan skeptically. "Are you sure? How do I know you're not gonna kill me?"
"You trust me. I know, you do."
Gavin nods. "True. And, you fascinate me..." He gives in. "Ok, ok, fine. Just... do your thing." He unlatches his mask, looking to Conan. Conan nods and rips his mask away, quickly pressing his lips to Gavin's. He breathes into Gavin, filling the human full of his air.
I shiver. Conan shouldn't be doing this.
Conan pulls away, holding Gavin like he is a precious jewel. "Breathe," he whispers.
Gavin gasps, pulling in air, filtering it just like we do. His eyes widen in surprise and bewilderment. "I-I'm talking and breathing. Underwater."
Conan laughs. "Welcome to the club."
Gavin takes Conan's face in his hands. "How could I not kiss you after that?" He kisses Conan, holding him by his waist.
I sigh softly, feeling my heart squeeze painfully in my chest. I want that... Not with Conan or Gavin, but with Hank.
"Gavin-!" Conan squeaks, pursing his lips.
"Aww, c'mere, you fucking Android," Gavin teases playfully. He pulls Conan into his lap. "You're making me so horny. Let's have some fun."
"Are you sure?" Conan asks uncertainly. "What if Connor hears?"
"He won't know. This is just between us," Gavin insists, rubbing up on Conan's tail.
Conan shivers in delight. "O-Ok..."
I back away. It should stay between them. I shouldn't be peeking. I swim slowly, trying my best not to disturb the water.
As soon as I'm out, I dart to the surface. I've done this everyday for two weeks now, but it still makes me so nervous and excited thinking about Hank. I miss him more and more, every day.
I swim until I see his legs. Hank's been going in the water, lately. As he waits for me, he'll wade around in the water. I nuzzle my cheek against his leg before I reach up to hold onto his thighs as I pop out of the water. "Hi, Hank!"
"Hello, Connor," he greets fondly. He smiles down at me affectionately. He reaches his hand down, and I press my head against it. Hank pets me softly. We stay like that for a while before Hank pulls his hand away and wades closer to shore, and I follow him. I happily swim after him. Just seeing Hank makes me fizz in excitement.
As we get closer to shore, I can't swim, and I have to drag myself up. At this point, Hank picks me up and cradles me against his chest as he carries me a little further. Once we reach our usual spot, Hank sets me down, then relaxes next to me.
"You're wearing your hair differently," I comment, flipping myself over so I can lay on my stomach. His hair is pulled up in a tail on his head. I think, it makes him look cool. "Is something special happening? What does that mean?"
Hank shakes his head as he lays down in the sand. "The only special thing happening is me being able to see you, Connor," he says with a note of nervousness. "I just thought you'd appreciate it."
"I do appreciate it!" I reassure him. I scoot over so I can press my body against his. Hank and I have been getting closer and closer, too. "It makes you look good! I mean, you look good with your hair the other way, too. But, I like this, as well!"
"I'm glad," he murmurs, rolling over so he's facing me.
I look over to see his face extremely close to me. He blushes lightly. "Can I kiss you, Hank?" I ask, rolling over on my side so I'm facing him. I shimmy closer to him.
Hank's blush reddens, but he moves closer and presses his lips to mine. I moan softly as I move my lips. The kiss is soft and passionate. I don't know what I expected human lips to feel and taste like, but it certainly wasn't this. Hank's lips feel so soft and smooth against mine, and they taste so sweet and delicious. There's a hint of something a bit sour, but it's a good taste.
When he pulls back, he frowns. "Connor," he begins. "There's something I have to tell you."
"What is it, Hank?" I furrow my brows in concern.
"Well..." he trails away and swallows. "Ever since I met you, things have been better. I've been better. I've been... happier. It gets harder and harder to go through each day without thinking about you. It gets harder and harder to wait to see you. I... I can't hide it, anymore. I'm... in love with you, Connor." He looks down. "You don't have to love me, too. You don't even have to stay here. It's ok if you-"
"Hush, Hank," I shush him, placing my finger on his lips. "I love you, too. I can't stay away from you. I can't stop thinking about you."
Hank kisses me again. He takes me and pulls me closer to him. I shiver in delight. He pulls away, staring at me. "Connor... I want you to come home with me!"
I grin happily. "I was going to ask if I could come home with you! But..." I flip my tail around. "I can't be out of water for too long. My tail will stiffen up and stop working."
"I have a pool and a bathtub. We can get by, Connor," he assures me.
"What about Conan?" I look away. "I think, he would be mad if I left. But, he has Gavin to keep him company. He doesn't need me." I smile at Hank. "Take me home with you," I whisper.
Hank stands up. I claw my way up his thighs, waiting for him to pick me up. Hank reaches down and pulls me into his arms, then he carries me away from the beach.
"I've never been this far, before!" I squeal happily. "This is so wonderful, Hank!" I hold him tightly, staring out eagerly as the world unfolds before my eyes.
Hank takes me to a weird looking... thing. "What is this...?" I ask as he approaches it.
"It's a car," he explains. "It takes me places. How else would I get here?" He puts me down on a flat part that sticks out, and he opens up one of the openings. I glance curiously at it.
"There are four openings? And, what is this part that I'm sitting on? Why does it stick out like this? Do you sit in there on the inside?"
"Yes, there are four doors, and I sit on the inside." He picks me up, again. "You were sitting on the front of the car. It sticks out because a lot of the car's parts are in there. You know, the things that make the car work." He sets me down in the car. Immediately, I fidget around and pull myself forward. The seats feel nice and soft. I think, I like cars!
Hank gets in the front seats of the car. He takes the wheel part in his hand and puts something inside the car, turning it. With a roar, the car comes to life.
"H-Hank, what is that? Why is it making that sound?!" I ask fearfully. "Is it hungry?"
Hank laughs aloud. He turns around and grins at me. "Don't worry, Connor. It's not alive. It can't hurt you."
"O-Ok, Hank..." I murmur, holding onto the back of the seat. "I trust you." The car moves, and I cry out. "Hank! It's moving!"
"I know, Connor! I'm the one moving it," he reassures me. He makes the car go backwards before making it go forwards, and he drives us away from the beach.
"You travel in this?" I ask, staring out the back opening. The beach slowly fades into the distance.
"Yes. It's pretty convenient, Connor. Moving around on land is hard enough for me, but it must be hell for you. Cars make it so much easier." Hank looks back at me, then turns his attention back to the path ahead. "We're driving on a road. And, you're looking out of the window. That's what those pieces of glass are for."
I nod. I'm learning so much. I love learning. I love knowing things. "Ok, Hank! I see." I tap the windows, and it makes a weird clinking sound. "Hey, Hank?"
"Yes?"
"Where do you live?"
"I live in a house. You'll see it when we get there. But, those buildings we're passing are houses," he explains.
"Oh. Ok." I watch the houses fly by. I recognize a few things, like trees, and grass, and birds, but some things are foreign to me. I don't ask about them, though. I'd rather not. This car ride is soothing. I don't want to ruin it with questions.
After a few long minutes, I start to feel my tail stiffening up. "Hank?" I question fearfully.
"Yes? What's wrong, Connor?" he asks, sensing my fear.
"My tail is stiffening up."
"That's ok. We're here, anyway." He turns his car into a smaller road and stops. The car suddenly dies, because it stops making noise.
"Did you kill the car?" I ask in a quiet voice.
Hank opens one of the doors and picks me up. "No. I just turned it off. It'll be fine, Connor. But, you are getting dry..." He takes me to a door. We have doors underwater. I recognize the house a little, because it reminds me of my own underwater home.
He takes me inside, and I look around eagerly. "It's beautiful, Hank!"
"It's nothing too special." Hank takes me down a hallway and takes me into a small room. He places me down in a really big... bowl.. thing.
"What is this?" I ask, sitting up.
"Hold on." He sits down on a weird looking chair before he reaches over and turns a knob. Immediately, water pours from a little spout thing, filling the bowl.
I gasp in delight. "Water! Thank you, Hank!" I squeal, leaning over the side of the bowl.
Hank smiles affectionately. "See this?" He touches the knob.
I nod.
"This thing turns the water on and off. It can make the water hot or cold, too." He turns the knob a few different ways and shows me how to work it. I can feel the water heating up and cooling down when he turns the knob. "This is a bathtub. I figured I'd teach you how to use it, just in case."
"Thank you." I rub my tail, working out the stiffness. "What are we going to do, Hank?"
"Now, I'm going to show you the pool. It's super nice. It was a gift from my dad." He turns the water off and pulls me into his arms. I cling to him, dripping water as he takes me to another room.
There's a bigger bathtub that's already full of crystal clear water. It's inside, and there are windows that let sunlight inside. "Wow..." I breathe. "It's a tiny ocean!"
"It's a pool, Connor. But, if you want it to be a tiny ocean, then so be it. Do you want to go in it?" he asks, looking at me softly.
"Can you come in with me?" I ask shyly.
"Of course."
"Throw me in!" I squeak.
Hank lifts me up and hurls me into the pool. I land hard, and I float down to the bottom for a minute before gathering myself and swimming around. I pop out of the water and smile at him. "Hi, Hank!"
He sits on the edge of the pool and slides himself inside. He wades over to me. I dive under the surface and weave around his legs, pushing myself against him. I wrap my tail around his legs and hold him. Under the cold water, I kiss his legs, rubbing up on him. I pop out of the water, again, and I kiss Hank's tummy. "Connor..." he murmurs, frowning in embarrassment.
"Hmm?" I look up at him, smiling affectionately.
"I just don't know if I like having my belly kissed..." he mutters. He sinks down into the water so he's face to face with me, then he kisses me. I embrace him and hold him close to me.
"I can't believe I'm here with you, Hank," I whisper. "Conan would kill me if he found out. But, he won't."
"Oh, this is really risky for you, huh?" He pulls my body closer to him. The way he absentmindedly caresses me makes me feel overjoyed. "Well, we'll be careful."
"Yes. But, I'm wondering what we'll do, now that we're here? I'm not human. I can't walk around and enjoy life, like you. I can't be on land. For too long, at least. And, I'm worried that, if people see me in public, they'll report me to CyberLife. That wouldn't be good," I explain, clinging to him fearfully. "They'll find me and put me in a fish tank. They'll keep me locked up."
"They won't do anything to you. They can't. CyberLife is only getting away with keeping you guys down there because no one knows about you. That's a violation of your rights," Hank goes on. He looks heated.
I splash him a bit. "I don't even know what that means."
Hank gives me a look before taking a breath and explaining what "rights" are. It's a big, long, lengthy explanation. Halfway through, I stop listening and just focus on his chest.
"Ok, Hank," I reply when he's finished speaking. "I understand. So, are you going to sue CyberLife?"
"Me? By myself? Hell no." He shakes his head. "If I sued CyberLife, and they won, I'd be fucked, Connor. I'd have to work for CyberLife."
I don't want to ask why. I don't want to listen to Hank explain things I don't know. I like hearing his voice, but I just want to relax with him. "I love you, Hank!" I announce happily, kissing his cheek.
"I love you, too, baby," he murmurs, holding me close to his chest. I curl my tail around him and hold him. His hands caress my waist. He rubs me on my sensitive spots, and I moan softly. Sensing my arousal, he rubs harder. I moan a little louder. He removes his hands and sighs in pleasure before sinking down and relaxing in the water with me in his arms.
