The Bad Roommate || CHONI

Chapter 4

Toni's pov:

I'm really confused, well I guess I'm always kind of confused but this time is different. The day after the beach Cheryl has been kinda distant. She only really talks to me in the morning and ignores me at school. I don't know what I did wrong but I've been feeling really sad. I don't have any friends other then her so I'm pretty lonely.

I am currently on my bed watching Netflix on my computer when I heard voices coming from the living room. I got up, my curiosity getting the best of me, and walked down the hall to see Cheryl and some guy sitting on the couch very close to each other. I'm guessing they heard me because they both turned around.

"Oh hey Toni, my friend and I were just leaving" she said as they got up.

"Where are you guys going?"

"On a date" the blonde guy said.

I don't know what I was feeling but I know I was mad, upset, and sad at the same time. I've never felt this way before.

"Oh..have fun, I guess"

"Mhm" and with that, they were out the door leaving me in the middle of the living room to think about what I did to make her so mad at me.

Cheryl's pov:

I didn't want to go on this date with this dumb guy. I don't even like men, I just needed to get over Toni. I was starting to fall in love with the girl and I couldn't let that happen. I knew she wouldn't love me back. Ignoring her is killing me. She looked so hurt all the time and I hated not seeing that beautiful smile everyday.

"Hello? Cheryl I said something" Jake said, waving his discussing hand in my face.

"Huh?"

"I said, do you wanna get out of here, head to my place and maybe have a little fun?"

Eww.

"Uhm you know what, I'm actually getting really tired I think I'm just going to head home"

"Seriously?"

"Uh yeah, seriously" I rolled my eyes and walked out of that diner as fast as I could.

It started to rain hard and I went in Jake's car but I didn't care, I just had to get back home and see Toni. She made me feel so safe. I could be myself around her. I think I might just love this girl.

When I got to the apartment, I unlocked the door as fast as I possibly could and bursted through the door like my life depended on it.

"Toni?!"

I looked all around the apartment for her and couldn't find her. I was starting to get scared because she never really left the apartment without me with her. I got to the kitchen and found a sticky note on the refrigerator.

"Cheryl, I went on a walk around the town to clear my head, if you even care. I don't know what I did to make you so mad at me but whatever it was, I'm truly sorry.

My eyes started watering and I began to cry. She thought I was mad at her and she left. I don't know when she'll be back or if she would even come back. I messed up big time. I shouldn't have ignored her. Now she's out by herself, god knows where, and she's still not quite used to the city yet. She could get hurt or worse. I had to find her.

I ran out the house not even bothering to lock the door and got in my car as fast as I could.

Toni's pov:

I was walking on the side of the street, not knowing where I was going. I felt so sad and I still didn't know why. All I know is I have these weird and strong feelings for Cheryl and when I saw her with that guy it made me mad.

I was still walking soaked in rain water. A car from behind me started to speed up a little and slowly drive by me. I didn't know what to do so I just started walking faster. The faster I went, the faster the car did. At this point I was running as fast as I could. The car parked and whoever was in it got out and started running after me. I started crying because of how scared I was and all I wanted was to be in Cheryl's arms again.

The person caught up to me and I thought this was it. I was so scared I just stopped running. I was instantly confused when the person turned me around and pulled me into a tight hug. It wasn't until I smelt cherry vanilla perfume, I knew it was Cheryl. I wrapped my arms back around her and buried my face deep into her neck as I started sobbing.

"Shhh, it's okay I got you" her sweet voice whispered into my ear.

"C-Cheryl"

"Shhh"

I pulled away and looked deep into her eyes. I didn't know what I was doing but I suddenly pressed my lips against hers. She did it back and it was the best feeling. Her lips tasted like Cherry's and mint. A weird combination but it worked. She pulled my waist closer to her and i gently placed my hands on her cheeks. It started to get hard to breathe so we both pulled back slowly. We pressed our foreheads together. We were both drenched by the rain but I couldn't car less.

I was with my person.
