The Bad Roommate || CHONI

Chapter 1

No one's pov:

Cheryl has been at college for about a week so far and she was so excited to find out she was getting a roommate. At 'Highsmith Collage' you are assigned a little with a built in kitchen, one bathroom, two bedrooms, and a balcony. There is supposed to be two people a room but Cheryl didn't have anyone to share it with, until today.

Cheryl was in the lobby of the college with the head administrator waiting for her mystery roommate's arrival.

"Are you excited miss Blossom?" The administrator, Ms. Jackson asked.

"Yes I am very excited actually. I've never had a roommate before. Well, if you don't count my little sister" Cheryl replied. She was pretty nervous to say the least.

"Well she is a foreign exchange student so I need you to be patient with her and help her out"

"Of course"

They heard the door open and Cheryl turned around to see a shorter girl with her long dark brown hair tied in two pig tails and wearing black overalls with a bright yellow long sleeved shirt under it. She had glasses and Cheryl thought she looked like a nerd but she wasn't going to say anything.

"OMG! Hi I'm Toni Topaz and it is so nice to finally meet you" the girl said while frantically shaking Cheryl's hand in her smaller one.

Cheryl's pov:

Wow this girl is something else? Why is she shaking my hand so fast and why is she so excited? I mean, yes I was excited too but not this exited.

"It is nice to meet you too, Toni" I smiled back at her causing her to smile even bigger.

"Okay well, Cheryl why don't you help Toni with her bags, take her up to your apartment, and get her settled in" Ms. Jackson suggested.

"Okay. Let's go Toni"

I grabbed one of her suitcases and we started our walk to the apartment.

"Wow this is so exciting" Toni said.

"Yep" I nodded back.

She started skipping down the path like a kid. What is wrong with this girl?

We finally made it to our apartment. I unlocked the door and when we both walked in, my dog Olive immediately jumped up on Toni.

"Aww you have a puppy!" She said more excitedly as she bent down to pet Olive.

"Yeah her name is Olive"

"Anyway. Your room is down that hall, first room on the right" I said as I sat at the island, watching her get up from the floor.

"Okay. Thank you so much for helping me Cheryl"

"Mhm, no problem"

She grabbed her two suitcases and walked down the hall to her room.
This girl was annoying, but I guess she was kind of cute too.

It's around dinner time and I just got back to the apartment from getting the pizza for Toni and I. When I walked inside I saw Toni on the couch staring at the TV. The thing is, the TV wasn't on.

"Hey, whatcha doing?" I asked as I set the pizza down on the coffee table in front of her and sat beside her on the couch.

"What is that?" She asked, confused.

"What is what?" I asked, confused as to what she was talking about.

"The big black thing in front of us"

Huh?

"Do you mean the TV?"

"Oh, is that what you call it?"

"Yes? You've never seen a TV before?"

"No we don't have them where I'm from"

"Where are you from?" They don't have TV's?

"I lived in a country called 'Tuvalu' and we don't get service there" she explained.

"What? No service? How did you survive?"

"Uh, food, water, air"

I don't think she knows much about sarcasm either.

"Okay well you take this, which is called a remote, and you press the power button to turn the TV on. Once you've done that, you can hit this Netflix button on the remote to go to this site that lets you watch practicly any movie or show"

She was watching me so intensely like this was the most interesting thing to her.

"Do you want to watch 'Pretty Little Liars' with me?" PLL was my all time favorite show.

"Um sure, yes" she replied as if she didn't know what was right and wrong to say.

I started the show then got up to get some plates for our pizza.

"Here" I handed her a plate and she looked at me confused once again.

"It's for your pizza"

She looked even more confused then before. Cheryl remembered what Ms. Jackson told her earlier. "Be patient with her"

"I'm guessing you don't know what pizza is either?"

"No, not really" she confirmed nervously.

"Well, it's basically just like a sandwich just in a triangle shape and with tomato sauce, Cheese, and pepperoni"

"Okay...?"

"Just try it" I didn't know how else to explain it.

I put a piece on her plate and she took a small bite. Her eyes widened after she did and it was the cutest thing.

"Wow! This is so good!" She took an even bigger bite and before I knew it, the piece was gone.

She looked at me as if she was asking permission for another.

"Go ahead"

She immediately grabbed another piece but this time turning her attention to the TV.

This won't be easy.
