No one's pov:
Over the next couple of days, Cheryl and Toni's friendship grew stronger. Cheryl was constantly teaching Toni about the things she's never tried before, which was most things, and she wanted her to be able to experience the things she couldn't do in her county.
Cheryl thought Toni was the most adorable person she's probably ever met. She loved the way the brunettes dimples showed when she laughed, and the way her eyes sparkled when she was excited.
Cheryl's pov:
Toni and I are currently at a cafe near our college. The both of us had morning classes so we really need this. I feel so happy when she's around. Like, all of my problems go away once I see that adorable smile. I can't stop looking at her. She's gorgeous.
I think I might've been staring for a little too long because when I finally snapped out of it, her hand was waving in front of my face and she was talking to me.
"Cheryl, did you hear what I said?"
"Huh, oh uh, no I didn't could you repeat it for me?"
"I said we should probably get home if you want to teach me that thing you were talking about earlier" she laughed a little.
I told her I wanted to teach her how to bake.
"Oh yeah for sure, let's get out of here" I smiled.
She smiled back at me softly before we got up and left the cafe.
_____
"Mhm, then you move the batter from this bowl to the pan so we can bake it" I explained to Toni.
We decided on making banana bread because Toni had mentioned earlier about how much she loved bananas.
"Like this?" She asked me, very considerated on how carefully she poured the batter.
"Yep just like that"
She smiled when she finished successfully.
"Uhm, now what happens?"
"Now, we put the pan in the oven and set a timer"
She grabbed the pan and tried to put it in the oven, but failed as she must've accidentally touched the rack.
"OW, OW, IT HURTS!" She screamed in pain.
"Omg, okay come here and put your hand under this cold water while I get some ice, okay?"
"Okay but please hurry"
I rushed to the freezer as she hurried to the sink.
"Okay here I got it" I said, gently putting the ice wrapped in a paper towel, on her burnt hand.
"Cheryl it still hurts really bad"
She began to cry and it made me feel so much worse.
"Oh tt, come here"
I opened my arms and she quickly rushed in to them, wrapping her arms around my neck. I put my arms around her waist and held her close to me.
"Shh, it's okay, your gonna be just fine" I whispered to her.
We stayed like this for a long time. It felt so nice to have her in my arms. I wish I could stay like this forever. I didn't notice how long we were like that until I heard the oven timer go off.
She got a little scared and jumped.
"Hey it's okay, that just means the bread is ready" I said softly.
She nodded her head. I walked back over to the oven and pulled the bread out with my oven mitts.
_____
"Mhmm, this is so good!" Her eyes lit up.
It took me back to when she first tried pizza. That night would forever be one of my favorites ever.
