Chapter 26

"Take care of Mina, okay?" Jihyo

"Ye unnie" Chaeyoung replied and ended the call.

She then looked at the sleeping Mina on the bed. Chaeyoung walked out of the room, it's morning in Canada right now, and she has a schedule with her psychiatrist but because she's away, she decided to have a phone call with Dr. Smith

Chaeyoung told her psychiatrist that her friend is with her, she introduced her as someone who did wrong to her. Chaeyoung also told Dr. Smith that she's helping Mina because the latter needs it.

"And what's wrong with that? Do you still have your walls against her?" Dr. Smith asked

"There's this desire inside me that wanted to help her until she's totally fine... But I was asking myself, what will be next after that? What will happen after that?" Chaeyoung

"Why don't you find out yourself?" Dr. Smith

Chaeyoung sigh "I'll come home when I'm done with her"

"Will that make you feel better? Coming back in here and leave your friend?" Dr. Smith

"I don't know" Chaeyoung

"I know there's something you're not telling me... But whatever is bothering you, you should know that fixing that is always up to you" Dr. Smith

"But what if I got hurt?" Chaeyoung worriedly asked

"You were hurt before, and you get through that... I know you can do it again if it happens... But the best part is you can learn from it... You can be a lot stronger after the pain" Dr. Smith

Chaeyoung then ended the call and walk back to the bedroom.
Mina's like a fragile gem through Chaeyoung's eyes, she wants to keep her safe but a bit hesitant for spending most of her time with the latter... Mina still has this effect on her, she was staring at the latter when Chaeyoung received another call- this time it's from her cousin Jimin.

"Chaeyoung, the guy you're asking me about is not in our company anymore... He resigned and went back to Thailand" Jimin

Chaeyoung sigh "Thank you for the information oppa.."

"Did that man do something to you? Do you want me to chase after him?" Jimin asked in concern

Chaeyoung glance at Mina "Naaah... Don't waste your time on him... Thank you again"

"Anytime" Jimin replied before ending the call

Chaeyoung wants Bambam to pay for what he did to Mina, but she respect Mina's decision... And she don't want to interfere with it... Chaeyoung knows that it's not easy to talk about it, that's why she's not pushing it...

Chaeyoung sigh- looking at Mina's angelic face "How can I do this without getting hurt?" She then went to the bed and carefully sat beside the latter "The pain is still here, I still remember how you made me feel unwanted... How lonely it was to be left by you- specially when I needed you the most... And I can't easily forget that- just because you're nice to me now" Without her knowing- Chaeyoung was clenching her fist. She's mad, for some reason she still got hurt by the memories.

Wiping her tears- Chaeyoung get up and went to the living room. She get an extra pillow and blanket and laid her back on the couch. There's another room in that house but the living room is the nearest place to Mina, so she decided to sleep there tonight. Chaeyoung's palms are under her head, she's staring at the ceiling... Thinking how table turns that fast...
She has so many questions, like why did she let Mina in- when she should have run... She gave all her best to the latter but all Mina did was avoid her.
