Chapter 9

"Chaeyoung, when will you update your website?" Amber asked the small girl who's taking pictures "Jin already update ours, and yours is still out of date"

They're on the streets of Seoul, roaming around and taking pictures for a magazine.

"I'm still looking for a model" Chaeyoung replied- still taking pictures

"Huh? You're replacing Mina?" Amber asked in disbelief

"She's busy, she can't pose for my website this time" Chaeyoung

"Too sad, she's been the face of your business ever since you've started" Amber utter "Who will be your model now?"

"I'm still asking some of my friends"  Chaeyoung stopped from taking pictures and look at Amber "If you can recommend someone- that will be a great help"

Amber scratch her eyebrow "I know many, but Krystal will kill me if I contact any of them"

Chaeyoung laugh "That makes me think those they are your ex's"

"Don't start with it, Krystal still mocks me about them" Amber shrug her shoulders "Like it's my fault that I haven't noticed her because I was drooling over someone else- which happened to be my best friend"

Chaeyoung stand still "How was it?"

"Owh, it was a nightmare every time she remembers my great love" Amber

"No, not that... I mean, being inlove with your friend... How was it?" Chaeyoung

Amber was taken aback "Well, it's painful at first.... You know, we're friends and with each other most of the time"

"Why is it painful?" Chaeyoung

Amber take a step near Chaeyoung "It is painful every time I saw her with her boyfriend... You know that my great love is my neighbor, right?" Chaeyoung nodded "I was watching them by my window, she was dropped by her boyfriend... They hug and kiss each other"

"What did you do?" Chaeyoung

"Nothing" Amber

"Nothing?" Chaeyoung becomes curious "What do you mean nothing?"

"We're not together, she don't even know what I felt" Amber looks into Chaeyoung's eyes "That time, it's painful... Those were the times that I feel nothing but pain"

"How did you overcome the pain?" Chaeyoung

"I surrender..." Amber replied

"You surrender..."  Chaeyoung repeated

"I surrender, I stopped wasting my time- waiting for her to see me... And that's when I started having a long conversation with Krystal" Amber

"Do you use Krystal unnie to forget your great love?" Chaeyoung

"No!" Amber quickly replied "I just tried living without the person who gave me pain... And that's when Krystal and I become together.... I give myself to her... It's not really a good story, it's a roller coaster ride, but it's worth it"

"You mean I should let go of someone who's hurting me?" Chaeyoung

Amber nodded "Yeah..." she paused after realizing what Chaeyoung said "Wait! Is it for you?" The latter did not respond, and that made Amber think that Chaeyoung might be shy "If the person you love cause you nothing but pain, try to let go... Start seeing other boys"

"She's actually a girl" Chaeyoung utter

Amber almost dropped her camera because of Chaeyoung's sudden confession. Her eyes widened and her mouth agape "Are you- you... Chae-" she stutter, still shocked of learned about the latter "You're inlove with a girl?" Chaeyoung's nod, and Amber suddenly smile "Is it Sana?" She curiously asked

"Eh?" Chaeyoung utter

"Sana's a goddess, that could be her" Amber

"Yah! You have a girlfriend!" Chaeyoung

"I'm just saying... I'm sure that if you're inlove with a girl... It's someone who has a big- tsk!" Amber looks at Chaeyoung "You know what I mean... Sexy, beautiful... hot as fire..." she daydreamed

"Who's hot as fire?!"

Chaeyoung and Amber flinch upon hearing Krystal's voice behind them, the two turn around to face the fuming lady.

Amber smile sheepishly "Hi!"

Krystal cross her arms- in front of her chest "Who's hot as fire?"

"It's Chaeyoung's crush" Amber replied and points at Chaeyoung to save herself

Krystal looks at Chaeyoung "Is it?"

Chaeyoung nodded- which made the latter calm. Amber went beside Krystal and put her arm around her shoulders.

"It's worth it, isn't it? Letting go..." Chaeyoung suddenly asked

Krystal was puzzled until Amber whispered something to her ear.

"You've got to put your past behind you" Krystal told Chaeyoung

"It's worth it to let go of the pain kid" Amber smile then turn around with Krystal and start to walk to their another spot

Chaeyoung was behind them, following and watching them smile at each other.

That hits her, she now envy her senior for having the courage to let go of something that hurt her, enable to find happiness with another person...

Chaeyoung was exhausted, her day is an adventure... They went to different places just to have a good shots of streets and old establishments.
She's now walking home, she decide to ride a bus because it will be more tiring if she's carrying a motorcycle while taking pictures.

She was a few blocks away when she saw Bambam's car in front of their house. She's used to it, seeing him there to fetch or drop Mina.
The shadows inside the car made her stop from her tracks, her position is behind the car, but she can see the two figure kissing inside the car.
Chaeyoung heaves a deep sigh and continue walking until she reached their home. She's near the door when Mina get out of Bambam's car, the latter was surprised upon seeing the cub, Chaeyoung nod her head to acknowledge Mina's presence then she continue walking and passed beside the latter to get into the house.
She heard the car leave but she just continue walking, with no expression at all...
Chaeyoung went to her room and lock the door... She sat on the floor and lean her back on the side of her bed...
She closed her eyes and put her hand on her aching chest, Chaeyoung was carrying so much pain inside her ever since she was a teenager... and it tear her up...
She had enough, and she can't take it anymore

"I give up..." Chaeyoung told herself "The battle of loving her will never end... But my fight against the walls she built for me, I surrender..."
