Which story has the most influence on your writing career?
If I'm being honest, it hasn't been a story. It has, rather, been foundational works of monster theory. The ones I enjoyed in particular were The Monstrous Feminine and The Monster Theory Reader. I also really like fairy tales.
Please describe the challenges you face as a writer.
I get distracted very easily. I'll sit down to write something, I'll go to verify a fact I'm trying to use, and, next thing I know, I'm deep down a hole about something entirely unrelated.
What did you reflect with your entry that you want your readers to feel?
Annoyance and loss.
If you have a chance to be a supernatural creature, what would you be and why?
I would be the skunk ape (aka the swamp cabbage man) because he's basically a much stinkier Bigfoot. God, I wish that were me.
