The girls found the bubbly swamp easily. "Ugh it smells! " Wailed June, flapping her arms around. She then pinched her nose with her fingers, and the others followed her lead.
"Well, it's called Mucky Swamp for a reason" said April, nasally. "Well how to we get over this?" Asked May. "We ride on the swap 'gator's back. That is, of he doesn't eat us alive first" said Abby. The others stared at her.
"Kidding! " She said. "We can swing over it from those vines." The party looked up at the thick vines hanging over them. "I'll go first" volunteered Abby. She grabbed a vine, walked a few paces back, then ran forward and jumped. She swing over the swamp and landed on the other side.
"Or" said June, "I could do this!" And she flicked her wrist. April and May floated over to the other side and landed with a gentle thud. Then June took a vine, and charged forward. She soared over the swamp and landed next to her sisters .
"And onto the Black Queen's Castle!" Said May. They had a clear path in front of them. This way to the Queen's Castle read a sign. So they followed it.
They arrived at the gloomy looking castle, and were about to charge inside when a little wispy looking girl stepped in front of them.
"Who are you, and what is your business with our Kind Queen Vindia?" She asked in a silvery voice. "We have matters of utter importance to discuss with the lordship" said Abby, throwing words out there. "Very well, you may go forward. But keep in mind, if you have lied to me, you will regret it" said the girl, and stepped back.
Abby, April, May, and June went ahead into the castle. The inside was not like the outside at all!
Gleaming white marble on the floor, spotless lavender paint on the walls, crystal chandeliers here and there. They entered the throne room.
And there, seated on a velvet cushioned golden throne, was Queen Vindia. She had flowing silky, white hair (not from age), a lavender coloured gown, and a crystal necklace on her neck.
The Queen smiled a very nice, non-evil looking smile at them. "Well I have been expecting you!" She said and got up. "Gunther! Tea please!" She said, clapping her hands. Immediately, a long table appeared in front of them, furnished with chocolate cakes, butter, cheese, bread, brownies, and everything they all loved. "Sit down" said the Queen. And the girls did.
"I think, they would like golden apple juice Gunther" said the Queen. Gunther came back with a bottle made of crystals, and inside was a golden liquid. "Now, why are you here, April, May, June, Abby?" Asked the Queen, helping herself to some bread with butter and cheese.
"You have our family" said May. "Our sister, mother, and grandmother."
