Heathen.

I couldn't grasp the fact that my father, the man I hadn't seen in years was standing in front of me, he looked seasoned for a wolf, my brother was still the same but in regards to anything else, he seemed worthless.

"You've become a fine man Alvares." My father spoke trying to get rid of the heavy tension in the room. "Save it Alpha Denver." I spat out coldly, he seemed baffled by my response.

"You would answer your father like that, what's gotten into you brother?" I chuckled looking at Daxom. "I don't see any brother of yours here." My response ticked him off as the flicker of resentment was shown in his eyes.
.

"Aside from what we told your lover, we have another request." Daxom exclaimed and I stepped forward towering over him. "He is my mate and the luna of this pack, you will respect him." I growled my eyes turning a  frightening black.

"Of course Alpha." My father asseted. "Sorry for not properly addressing him, I thought you would want your mate as we discovered the bond could be repaired." Daxom exclaimed and I sighed.

"Just how desperate are you to come with your problems here, I don't want your mate Daxom, I could care less about him, my mate is stronger than yours will ever be and I'm glad you broke our bond." I retorted making him growl lowly.

"How dare you?" He growled walking toward me but froze when I towered over him. "Just look at how sickly he is, you can't even take care of him, he can barely take care of himself, my mate just informed me that he's clearly malnutritioned, and for a fully grown wolf it actually makes one wonder, so put your petty anger aside because I'm telling the truth." I smirked as my response made him drawback.

"You have some nerve Alvares, we came here peacefully, we just want an alliance and your help in healing the luna of the Cold Lake, your home." Daxom argued and I scoffed looking at him.

"Whose home again, my home is right here, with a pack bigger and stronger than yours will ever be, I have nothing to prove to you but even though your father neglected us, I surpassed you in everything you would ever do, now out of my packhouse!" I growled in response and the two tried to argue.

"I said out!" I demanded and warrior wolves came into the office forcing the two out. "You'll regret this Alvares, you may be strong but you will need an alliance with us, you will need our help!" Daxom yelled back as we stood by the packhouse entrance and the wolves all around me laughed.

Seeing him acting like he was completely crazy was by far comical, we were a pack never comparable to his, our numbers and strength even  more so but yet even without alliances we thrived, everyone knew that, that's why they laughed.

"You're just a pack of rogues, outcasts unwanted by anyone, that's why you exist, one day we will raze this p—." Before he could finish a swift blow to his jaw had him doubling over. "How. Dare. You!" Aries punched him with each word he spoke.

"You come to our home, asking for help, I help you and this is how you repay us, we don't want to be aligned with your pack it's worthless, now you threaten us after we helped you!" He screamed and my father stared in shock as Aries beat the alpha.

"You were given the option to leave our home peacefully but look at you making threats because you got denied something you want, I know the other packs no longer want to be aligned with you that's why you're so desperate." Aries spat our stunning everyone.

He spun around and delivered a roundhouse kick to Daxom's jaw, it cracked and moved from place, the alpha in question spits out blood and popped his jaw back in place. "Leave my home and pack alone, never come back!" Aries yelled and my father lunged for him.

Before he could punch my mate I had his fist in my palm, I punched him in the gut which had him doubling over, as he was bent over I forced his body to crash on my knee making him cough out blood which tainted the grass.

"I have respected you enough but how dare you even try to lay a hand on my mate." I growled my wolf surfacing, I punched him again in the stomach, one final blow to his head and he was knocked out.

"Take your alpha." I ordered the wolves that had been beaten by Aries before, they took him and laid his body in the car where Daxom's mate was, he was wide eyed looking at Aries and Daxom exchange blows.

Daxom lunged for Aries, his fist connected but Aries only spit out blood but didn't move. "You have to do much better than that." He responded, crouching down he used his legs to make Daxom fall, before he hit the ground Aries was on top of him delivering multiple blows.

His knuckles were bloody from how severely he was beating the alpha, we all stood watch because Daxom needed to learn that this pack wouldn't tolerate threats and that even the 5'9 luna could beat a 6'4 alpha.

Daxom shifted and shredded Aries's clothes and a bit of his skin, but it healed within seconds. Aries didn't shift, only stood in attack stance. The alpha lunged for him and he dodged his claws, when he lunged for him again Aries slid under him and punched his rib cage and a nerve point.

Daxom howled in pain but lunged for Aries again, my mate spun back to avoid his claws, putting his training into this battle Aries leaped into the air and delivered a kick to Daxom's nerve point by his shoulder, it would temporarily numb him.

Everyone was stunned when Aries was caught and thrashed around by Daxom, when the alpha stopped Axel wanted to intervene but I stopped him, this was Aries's fight and the pack had to witness what we trained for.

Daxom had his jaws around Aries's throat but that was his mistake, Aries punched Daxom's neck making him release him as he gasped for air, my mate swiftly got up taking advantage of Daxom's predicament, he kicked his other leg dislocating the joint.

"You're never to come here again!" Aries screamed as he did so he clasped his hands together and brought up his knee up to deliver a blow to Daxom's head, it was a bad blow to the head and Daxom slumped to the ground his body battered.

The luna stood among his people breathing heavily, wolves in the woods began to howl for his victory. "Take your alpha and get off my land." I growled toward the wolves and they scurried to get Daxom. I walked to my mate and hugged him.

"I'm proud of you." I mumbled before crashing my lips onto his and the wolves whistled and some howled. He had shown my brother that we weren't weak, we were strong and capable. Therefore no one should underestimate us because they think we're just rogues.

"Finally got your pound of flesh." I teased him and he chuckled, the flush on his cheeks wasn't surprising, I was used to him being all nervous and flustered, it was hard to comprehend that he had beaten an alpha to a pulp then now he was blushing.

"Remind me never ever to piss you off." Axel exclaimed standing by us as the pack members dispersed. "I wouldn't be able to beat you Axel, and why would I need to." He responded with a smile.

The three of us watched Daxom and his pack members drive away from the packhouse leaving a trail of dust, I was sure we wouldn't be hearing from them for a very long while.

"Let's get you home and cleaned up, and we need to get trying again." I wiggled my eyebrows and Aries smacked my chest whilst hiding his flushed face. "Lock my office will you, bring anything necessary to my home." I ordered Axel and he nods.

I was finally happy that after all these years of not talking with my father and brother were worth it, I didn't need them and I didn't need anything from them, I was happy with the family I had, my mate, Axel my brother, Emma along with her family and the pack.

It was all I needed. "Want some celebratory ice cream with waffles and chocolate syrup?" Aries asked and I nod. "Great." He cheered like a child as we make our way home.
