Lucas woke up, surprised by how well he slept. He looked over and saw locks of blonde hair fanned across his arm as if his bicep was her pillow. He smiled down at her and leaned over placing a kiss on her forehead. He heard her groan and saw her eyelids start to twitch so he quickly reached for his phone under his pillow and started scrolling through memes.
Maya woke to the sounds of muffled chuckling. "What's so funny?"
"Dog Meme." He snickered. "Mornin'."
Maya slowly moved off his arm, sat up and stretched her arms, then she ran her hands threw her hair. "What time is it? How long have you been up?"
Lucas shrugged. "9am. A few minutes. Did you sleep well?" He asked nicely.
Maya shrugged. "Yeah, better than I have in a long time actually, but I don't think it was because of meds." She gave him a small smile. "Thanks."
Lucas smiled over at her. "Anytime." He put his phone down and stretched. "Well I should probably head out."
"Why? It's a Sunday? You got a hot date or something?" She teased.
"Yes." Lucas smirked.
Maya gaped at him. "What? Why didn't your friends know about it?"
Lucas chuckled. "It's Super Sunday Boys Breakfast." He blushed a little. "We let Zay pick the name."
Maya grinned widely then she started laughing. "It's a what now?"
"It's bonding with the boys. We eat breakfast and play video games at Farkle's place, then when the comic store opens we go check out the new comics. We do it every Sunday, and I'm already running late. See?" He held his phone out to show her.

You are twenty minutes late. I already asked the chef to makes us waffles so you didn't get a vote. Sorry, but we're behind schedule already. Time to crush some zombies and buy some comics!
We don't want to eat without you but we will! Are you sleeping in?! It's already after 8 o'clock! Get your butt in gear and get it over here! DUDE!
Maya chuckled. "Wow. They are worse than Riley. Alright, get going Cowboy."
Lucas chuckled and put his phone in his pocket. "Thanks for understanding and uh, if you need me, just text."
Maya nodded. "Will do. Bye."
Lucas slipped out the way he came in and rushed to the subway station.
