Chapter 12

I turn around and do a nervous smile "hi dad, what are you doing here?"

He grabbed me with his branches and turned me upside down while dragging me closer "what are you wearing young lady?"

"I'm wearing a swimsuit... i'm at the beach" I said and got out of his branches, landing on my butt.

"You should be training for the games, I'm not choosing you for the internship" he said and helped me stand up.

"Dad... we've been planning this for a while and we will all be training after this we just wanna have fun" I said and look back at them

"Fine but why do you have a boys shirt in your laundry basket?" He asked and I could hear Mina laughing.

I glare at her before looking at my dad "I promise it's not what you think, I was training yesterday and I heard Bakugou explode something and it scared. I fell in the water and he saved me. I was still in my uniform so he gave me his shirt but I covered my self in vines so he couldn't see" I whispered and pointed at him.

My dad looked at me and went to my ear "no boyfriends understand?"

I pushed him away and laughed "if it happens it happens... I'm not desperate for a relationship" I said and smiled

"Alright y/n behave and don't be a thot" he said and laughed.

I heard a few girls laugh while I got embarrassed "bye dad!!!!" I yelled and walked away as he kept laughing.

I ran to Momo and hugged her to hide my red face. She laughed and hugged me back "you're dad is something"

"I know!!!" I said and looked at them while I tried to cool my face down.

"Why did you point at kacchan earlier?" Midoriya asked and looked at me

"Long story short I almost drowned, he saved me and gave me his shirt because I was in my uniform and my dad found it in my laundry bin" I said and looked at my hair

Everyone was shocked except for me and Katsuki. "He's still wants to be a hero so that's why he saved you" Mina said in realization

I nodded and tied the scarf around my waist "is anybody hungry? It's my treat" I said and they all cheered

Soon we all got food and the sun was starting to set. I grabbed my bag and heard my name. I turned around and looked at Shouto "oh hey Shouto"

"Hey y/n.. can I walk you home? I don't think we live far from each other" he said and put his shirt on.

I smiled and nodded "yeah sure, let's go" I said and waved at everyone before walking with Shouto.

"Did you have fun today?" I asked and looked at him with a smile

"Yeah I did... when bakugou saved you did he do cpr?" He asked and looked at me with a blank expression

"I think he only did chest compressions" I said and looked around.

"Ah okay... what exactly is your quirk?" He asked and looked at my hair.

"Well... it's a mixture of my whole family's quirk except my sisters quirk and my magic quirk. I didn't know I was born with two quirks but I'm scared to use my full power... I don't wanna outshine everyone in my family or really expose it" I said and looked at my hands "I can make many different types of plants, walk on water which I'm working on, I can make a few bugs come out from hands, I can control the weather but I'm really scared to do that and I can control all forces of nature. With my magic quirk I can make potions from my hands amd say spells in my head to make things happen. But if I mess up bad things can happen" I said and rubbed my arm "I can change my hair color too" I laughed nervously to lighten up the mood

He chuckled slightly and smiled a little "I understand what you mean by being scared to use your full potential, I don't like using my fire side because it reminds me of my father" he said and looked at his red arm.

"But that's your power not his... sometimes fire can beautiful, depends on the situation" I said and gave him a smile

He nodded and looked at me "thanks y/n" he mumbled as we kept walking. I look straight and saw endeavor approaching us. I instantly got nervous and glance at Shouto who was looking at him coldly

"Son... what are you doing with a girl like her?" Endeavor said and glanced at me

"What do you mean a girl like her dad?" Shouto asked and I stayed quiet while looking down

"You know... she's black" he mumbled towards him "please tell me you guys aren't dating"

I looked up at the Pro hero infront of me "what does me being black have to do with anything, matter of fact with any black including my father" I said with a bit of annoyance

"You're probably broke and wanting to become a hero to help your family" endeavor said and scowled at me

"Actually my house is right down there because my father, Kamui woods, was able to afford it... I'll see you at school Shouto" I said and started walking away

Shouto sighed and walked past his father "you're a pain in the ass dad" he said to himself and got in the house.

I walked in the house pissed off and I took off my shoes. My mom came to me and hugged me "you alright honey?" She asked as my dad walked to me. I shook my head and looked at my dad "I hope you know endeavor is racist" I said and hugged my mom tightly. My dad sighed and rubbed his back. "I know y/n.. I'm sorry you had to encounter him" he said to me. I nodded and pulled away "I'm gonna go to bed" I said and went upstairs. I did my night routine and plopped on my bed, falling asleep.

I spent the next two weeks working on my quirk and getting more confident for the games and today was that day. We arrived at the arena and I look around to see many hero's. I knew some but not all of them. I look over at midoriya who seems to be nervous yet excited. I walked towards him and heard him mumbling.

As I was about to talk to him Mr. Aizawa told us to get changed. We couldn't wear our costumes so it doesn't benefit us in the games. We walk into the stadium after getting dressed and I looked around the stadium. I was so excited and I heard the crowed cheering loudly. I walk with the class and see midnight on a stage. I wave at her and she waves back before looking at all the first year students. I look over at Mineta and he seemed to be in heaven while looking at midnight. She told us that the class representative is bakugo called him up to the stage. I got nervous and bit my lip "don't fuck this up" I mumbled to myself

"I pledge..... that I'll be number one" Katsuki said

I gasped and blushed from embarrassment as everyone yelled at him. "Why is he like this" I whined and played with my hair a bit

I looked up and saw a screen while midnight was talking. The qualifiers game is gonna be an obstacle race. I gulped and looked at myself

We walked over to the gate and I stretched a bit while midnights words rung inside my head. "As long as you stay on course you can do whatever you want". I watched all three lights go out and see everyone sprinting towards the entrance. I look over and see Shouto staying back with me. He then froze everyone while running past them. I growled and made a path of water above everyone, walking over them. I kept running until I noticed something that caused me to stop in my tracks "why are those things here?"
