I look at my phone and see that Duke has posted a tik tok. I open it worried but then i see him and he starts to talk. He's saying that he's in his house and will be posting experiences of his everyday life now it's changed so much. I see no one has liked or commented yet and i comment thankyou you're so inspirational. and he responds to me and says thankyou i try to be.
Later when Emilys asleep i go back to the tik tok and realise no one has liked or commented except me so i comment hi duke do you think we can talk i need some support. He responds immediately and says of course.
'Hi i'm duke but u already knew that' he texts
'oh hi i'm Y/n'
'nice to meet you y/n how are you holding up?'
'i really don't know my moms are missing and i'm looking after the neighbours daughter because her dad died.'
' oh no i am so sorry.'
'it's not your fault anyway what about you how are you?'
'I saw all my family sink.'
i shake my head sad and worried for him.
'oh i'm so sorry'
'that's ok there was nothing i could do the water is acid or something so i think it was quick.'

'Yeah my family kinda turned into nothing in front of my eyes'

'well my neighbours daughter Emily was unconscious in the water and i dived in to save her'

We talk for the whole night talking about each other and family.
