Annabelle's pov:
At around two pm dad came running into the apartment slightly flustered. Looking confused at him, not really understanding why he is so panicked? I after all am peacefully sitting on Magnus comfy couch.
„Gosh I was so unbelievable worried darling!" he says and pulls me into a very tight hug. His chest starts vibrating as a very low and threatening growl leaves him. With a confused frown I look up only to see Alec standing opposite to us with calculating eyes.
„Oh, that's Magnus boyfriend alec! He is rather nice! And you know what!? He can even make his runes glow! It's really pretty!" I explain happily to a stunned looking dad. Guess he wasn't really knowing that Magnus let Alec stay over while I wait here for everyone to come over for the whole explaining.
„Luke." alec slowly says and nods in a greeting towards my still stiff dad. So without much thought I kiss his cheek lovingly, this normally makes him relax and like clockwork his shoulders relax a little and his crushing hold on me loosens to. At least a bit.
„Alec. I see you have already met my daughter. And since she is talking around you I am assuming that you have been treating her nicely." dad says after he has taken a deep breath. Alec's eyes widen extremely to which I right away giggle finding it pretty funny. He looks like a puffer fish with his wide eyes and mouth gaping open because of loss of words. My giggles quickly contagious the others who now all are laughing and chuckling along with me. That was the moment Raphael enters completely lost on why the heck we are laughing like some maniacs.
„Did I miss something?" he asks still irritated and slightly unsure of Alec it seems. He even made a few steps forward so he is now standing in between dad me and Alec.
„Magnus told me you had another run in with a shadowhunter?" he asks me slightly concerned it seems.
„Mhm! Told him he better let'a go of me because I still am learning to use my magic. That however was after I took him with me to Magnus place. Forgot that I will take everyone along with me as long as they are touching me or I them." I reply and blush in embarrassment for forgetting that last part. Raphael however smiles at me in understanding before he turns around so he is now facing Alec.
„Jace saw her and acted on instinct. You know that i told him and Izzy to not touch her because of what had happened last time with me." I hear Alec say even though no one has asked him.
„Can you put me down again?" I ask dad since he still is holding me in his arms and away from the floor. As if only now realizing that as well, he puts me back down with a mischievous smile. Still with a bright smile on my lips I take a seat yet again. The others following my lead and with a small wave there are some drinks and even some blood for Raphael on the table. Said vampire smiles thankfully at me before hungrily drinking up every drop of blood. So with one more wave the empty bag gets replaced with a full one.
„Are you trying to get me fat Anni!?" he asks me accusingly but with happily smiling eyes so I know he isn't meaning it. That's the only reply ihr gets from me is a small shrug. Small talk has started to fill the room and not long after, the blonde shadowhunter along with the girl enters the apartment. As I have learned their names are Jace and Izzy, which is a strange name but after Magnus told me that her full name is Isabelle i understood. It is a cute nickname after all.
„So since we all are now here together, let's start with your questions shall we!?" Magnus says after the two late arrivers have taken a seat themselves.
„Before we do that, I would like to apologize once more for touching you earlier today. I wasn't thinking it would hurt you but I now understand that it was a mistake on my part. Sorry!" jace apologizes sincerely to everyone's shock.
„Ok. Just no more touching please." I say and scoot a bit closer towards dad. He quickly lays his arm around my shoulders which grounds me right away and makes me feel way safer than only a second before.
„Promise! Till you tell me otherwise, I won't touch you again!" he promises with a determined face. A heavy sigh of relief escapes me after that statement. I don't know why, but I never felt comfortable to get touched by anyone other than my mum. Even dad, Raphael, Magnus and Simon has to wait for a few days or even weeks before I felt comfortable enough to allow their hugs and soothing caresses.
„Alright, since that's out of the way now. May i know your Name?" Izzy asks me with a wide and open smile towards me. Something about her is calming my nerves so much so that I feel confident enough to answer her myself.
„My name is Annabelle, but you can call me Anna or Anni. That's what everyone is calling me after all." I answer her trying to sound brave and confident like the others always do. Her smile widens even more after I answered her right away and directly. I even made sure to look her straight in the eyes also! That's a huge step and leap Of trust for me. Dad as well as the other two look at me with proud smiles. They after all know that, that is completely out of character for me. But with them around and the knowledge that Alec is Magnus boyfriend, who has been treating me very nicely not only back by the library but also by telling the others to not touch me, I feel brave for once. That or my new found magic and fighting skills made me more comfortable! Who knows!?
