Annabelle's pov:
Currently I am sitting pretty excited at the breakfast nook along with dad who only chuckles at my pure giddiness for Izzy to arrive. It's going to be pretty fun to train with her and hang out with her. She even texted me yesterday again to tell me how she can't wait for our session today! That of course only made me even more bouncy and excited for today. The moment there was a knock on the front door I quickly run towards it. Dad being his overprotective self of course follows not far behind me. Just as I went to open the door, his hand stops me and pushes me slightly behind him. His eyes have gotten blue, a sign that his wolf is now in control. So with that knowledge, I simply let him drag me behind him that I am fully shielded away from whoever is standing out there. My guess is that it isn't Izzy, I don't think he would act like that towards her. He after all was fine with her coming over to train with me. He even told me how happy he is she offered to help them train me. So it wouldn't make much sense if it would be her.
„Yes?" he asks rather stiff and distant. Whoever this is, surely is on his shit list.
„It was pretty hard to find you Lucian." a woman says. I can't see her from my spot but she doesn't sound nice. Not at all. She makes every word sound like it is hurting her physically to talk to someone beneath her, which she definitely thinks of my dad. That in itself makes my blood boil. Seeing a small wave from dad, I know he wants me to hide. So like the good girl I am, I use the magic Magnus has teached me and make myself invisible. With a small wave I send dad a message that I am still behind him but now invisible. Seeing his shoulders relax a little at that small information.
„What do you want Maryse? We haven't talked since I changed into a werewolf." he asks her and crosses his arms in front of his chest. A sign that he is pretty pissed and rather close to lose control, with that in mind I quickly portal myself to Magnus. Hoping he might have time to help with this strange woman.
„Magnus! Are you here?" I shout. Now finally realizing that I am shaking in fear for my dad. What if this woman hurts her? And now I even left him alone with her!
„Anni! Love, what happened? You are worrying me!" Magnus nearly shouts while hurrying towards my side.
„There is a strange woman at our apartment! You need to come with me and help dad! Please!" I tell him. Literally begging him to do just that. His eyes widen slightly before he nods his head in agreement.
„You stay here love! Alec is coming over in a few minutes. Just stay with him till I and Luke come and get you!" he instructs me before he hurry's through the same portal I had just opened up for myself. Slowly I close it after feeling him arriving at my apartment, my home and safe heaven. That was until that woman appeared out of no where! Shaking my head rather forceful to hopefully get my mind away from what had happened and still is going on back there. Away from what my dad and Magnus are now dealing with, while I am sitting here on Magnus comfy couch like a true coward. They however wanted me to be away from there, maybe they know that woman. It definitely sounded like it since dad said they haven't talked in a long time. A soft knock comes from the door yet again. Should I really open it? Magnus did say that Alec will be coming in no time, but what if it isn't Alec. What if there is another unknown being behind that door. A second knock was heard, this one a bit louder than before but still rather soft. So with a deep breath and a heavy heart I slowly walk towards the door.
„Who is there?" i ask meekly. Maybe I shouldn't of said anything, now whoever is out there knows that I am here and frightened.
„It's me Anni, Alec! Magnus said I should come over." I hear Alecs voice which calms me a bit. Slowly and carefully I open the door and come face to face with a confused looking Alec.
„Shouldn't you meet up with Izzy at your place?" he asks irritated but softly since he obviously sees my inner worry. He may not know the why but he sure as hell can see that something is really wrong right now.
„There was a strange woman at our door, so dad made me leave. I came right to Magnus to ask him to please help dad." I explain widths shaky voice. His eyes widen before they look at me in pure concern.
„Why don't you take a seat. We wouldn't want you to collapse on the floor." he says as he already stirs me towards the couch. Still he makes sure to not touch me, only a small caress at the start. My guess that, that's when he remembered that I don't like being touched.
„It's ok. Those two are rather strong and powerful. Nothing is going to happen to them." he keeps on talking seemingly trying really hard to calm me down again. Now that I think about it, he surely is worried I am going to get a panic attack like I had as we ran into each other by the library.
„I am going to call Izzy and Jace to go to your apartment to help them too. Izzy should be there already anyway!" he says with a thoughtful look. As if they were listening in on our talk, his phone starts to ring.
„Izzy! I was just about ready to call you! Are you already at Luke's place?" he answers sounding confused but he still try's to keep a calm face for my benefit, that much was to see. And I do have to say I highly appreciate it!
„What!? Are you sure Izzy!?" he asks sounding alarmed but quickly quietness down again when he sees my eyes widening. My throat already starts to get tighter from the panic that has come back pretty forcefully at his obvious fright.
„Izzy, I cant talk right now. Anni is at Magnus's place along with me. Come over as soon as possible and get Jace too!" he says rather quietly as well as stern when he sees my huddled form. My breathing has gotten pretty shallow and I can see the black spots forming in my eyesight like often before i collapse completely.
„Anni! Please You need to concentrate on your breathing. Try to copy mine alright!?" he says suddenly kneeling in front of me.
„You can do it Anni, In and out! Everything is completely fine. That woman is mine and Izzy's mum, she wouldn't hurt your dad nor Magnus. It just shocked me that she was at your place. Didn't know she knows your dad well enough to visit him." he informs me while making me concentrate on my breathing. His talking also helps me to calm down again.
„that's it! Just keep on focusing on your breathing." he encores me and ignores my tight grip on one of his hands. Honestly I don't even know when I took it but it soothes me to know that someone who cares is close by. After a few more minutes of simply breathing and him rambling about everything and nothing the black spots vanish again and my throat feels free as well.
„Thank you!" I whisper feeling ashamed of my own weakness when I finally am able to sit up straight again.
„Anytime Anni! Anytime!" he says and squeezes my hand that I am still holding on to. That's when the door gets pushed open and a frantic looking Jace and Izzy storm into the living room.
„Thank the angels you are fine!" Izzy says with relief. She runs right to my sight and hugs me tightly. And to my surprise, I don't feel any panic. Not even a bit. Alec is also still holding my hand and it doesn't bother me at all. If their touches do anything than they are calming me down even more. When Izzy pulls back again she smiles proudly at me.
„We were really worried something might have happened to you!" jace says and looks longingly at me. The moment I see it though he slightly turns his head so I can't see his eyes any longer.
„Thank you guys for coming right away. That means a lot to me. So thanks!" I say quietly but somehow they still were all able to hear me.
„Of course Anni! We will always be there if you need us or simply want us to!" jace answers me with honesty. So without thinking too much into it, I stand up on my still slightly wobbly feet and walk towards jace. His eyes watch me with uncertainty but the second I open my arms for a hug, he pulls me right away into his strong and hard chest.
„Thank you!" he whispers, which makes his chest vibrate a little. A sigh escapes my lips as I cuddle even a bit closer into him.
„How about some tea? That usually helps me to calm down." Izzy asks with joy.
„How about not Izzy! We after all don't want to poison her!" alec tells her. Hearing a huff and a small smacking sound. So with my interest sparked, i turn around to see the two siblings arguing about cooking skills and so on. They look so funny by doing so that I can't help myself but giggle at their antics. Hearing that, they right away stop with their arguing and instead look at me with soft smiles.
„I can get us some tea and biscuits!" I say feeling my cheeks getting warm from their stares. So with a quick hand movement I make said items appear on the desk in the middle of all of us.
„Hope you like them." I say a bit embarrassed as I take the first sip of my tea.
