Brooklyn Batson and Billy Batson were waiting patiently at the pawn shop as they heard police sirens in the distance mixed with the alarm, Brooklyn cut off. "Billy, are you sure this is going to work? Because last time we did this we ended up getting caught at the same time." Brooklyn said.
Billy scoffed and walked over to his sister. "Brooke, you need to relax and stay calm. This is going to work, trust me." He smiles, but Brooklyn doesn't seem to convince about it. She brushed her brunette hair behind her earlobe and finally saw the police car parking in the parking lot.
"Here goes nothing." She muttered and walked up to the officers. "Holy moly the men in blue. We are both so glad you're here. We called as soon as we saw, they're in there." Billy pointes and Brooklyn nodded. "Okay, you two stay here." The male officer told the two rebellious teens who smirked and lightly chuckled as soon as they fell for their plan.
The cops pulled out their guns. "Police!" They yelled. "We saw them go all the way in the back of the shop." Brooklyn points out and the police slowly walked in the back of the store, only to find nothing there. "There's nobody here. It's just a closet." The female officer told her partner.
"Wow, we didn't think you two would buy that." Brooklyn shakes her head and rushes to close the metal door as her brother ran into the cop car to type in their mother's last name. "Billy, hurry." Brooklyn told Billy. She saw cash in the cup holders and scoops the cash up, placing it in her pocket.
The officers were yelling things at them, but Brooklyn or Billy didn't seem to care. Billy finished typing on the small screen in the car before he held out a hand and said, "Notebook." Brooklyn pulled a red notebook out of her backpack and hands it to her brother.
He opened it to the page that they needed before muttering out a license plate number which Brooklyn typed in. Brooklyn then pressed enter and the two looked at the screen and scrolled down before stopping on the name of the person they were looking for.
The person was a Rachel M. Batson who lived on 21 Hoffman Street in the city of Philadelphia. Billy quickly wrote down the address before looking up at his sister who was smiling at her. "Finally!" Brooklyn exclaims, clapping both of her hands and chuckles.
Brooklyn smiles and reached to give her brother a high five before they heard the cops yelling again. The twins rolled their eyes. "Dispatch, we need backup at the lower-." Brooklyn heard the man muttered but was cut short to Billy clearing his throat.
"Dispatch, cancel that request. Some kid stole our walkie talkies." "Walkie talkies how old our you?" The female officer asked. Brooklyn groaned and Billy winced before they decided to go but Billy spotted a bag of Steak and burgers. "No! No, no, no don't that's my lunch kids!" The male officer yelled. Billy didn't care and grabbed it as he and Brooklyn took off to find their mom.

Marylin Batson let out a small sigh as the dart she had thrown hit the board instead of the balloon she was aiming for. She quickly picked up another only for it to miss the dart again as well.Four year old Billy frowned from where he was sitting on top of the counter next to Brooklyn before looking at his mother and saying, "I want the tiger."
Marylin gave her son an awkward smile before saying. "I know, honey. I know. But mommy's not exactly going pro here." She told her son. Marylin picked up one last dart before throwing it at the ballon.
Brooklyn let out an excited squeal before she hugged Marylin. "You did it, mommy. You did it." She smiles and giggles, showing her two front teeth missing. "Thank you, baby." She laughs.
She turned to her son and shook him slightly as she smiles and said, "We got one!" Billy grinned at his mother before the man who own the stand handed Marylin a small sphere compass.
Billy frowned again as Marylin handed Billy the compass while Brooklyn looked over Billy's shoulder. "But I want a tiger." "Ah, but this is the real prize baby. See, you can use this your whole life. You'll find your way."
As the three were about to head home, Billy accidentally knocked into someone, dropping his compass. "Oh no." Brooklyn cried looking at between her mother and Billy. "Brook, we have to find it." "But what about mommy-." Billy interrupts her. "We'll find her. I promise."
The twins went out to search for their missing prize. After finding it, they went out to search for their mother but found couldn't find her anywhere. "Mom! Mom!" Billy and Brooklyn cried out as they searched their mother everywhere but couldn't find her anywhere.
They saw a woman who looked like her but when the twins ran over to her a held her hand, she turned around looking nothing like their mom. "Hey, kids where's your mom?" The woman asked.
Brooklyn felt herself starting to breath heavily and the girl began to look around as everything seemed to be going into a blur. "Mom?" She cried out as she gripped her brother's arm in fright. "Mom?" She whispered.
"Yeah, they say their names are Billy and Brooklyn Batson." The officer spoke through his walkie talkie before wrapping the twins in a blanket. "Don't worry kids. She'll come back, they always does."
But she never did...
