Billy took two subways to get where he needed to go to find his mom. He thinks Brooklyn was wrong all this time, and when he saw where his mom lived he was shocked. There were broken down cars and trash bags everywhere, he got on the elevator and walked to the apartment where his mom was living.

There was arguing in the background and that made him worried. He took in a deep breath before knocking on it. His mom, Marylin came out rambling through her purse. "Hey, look I'm already late for work. I don't need any magazines or anything."

But that didn't stop Billy. "Uh, no actually. You probably don't recognize me but," Billy trailed off as he took the small green and black compass out of his pocket. He held it out to his mother and smiled. "I found my way home."

"Mom it's me."

"Oh god," Marylin muttered as she looked at Billy with wide eyes. "Is it?" Billy's eyes were filled with tears as he stepped towards her to give her a hug but she stopped him by holding her hand and stopping him.

"Uh, hang on," she said while Billy took a step back. He was confused at why his mom wasn't hugging him and that made him feel uncomfortable. "Who's at the door?" A male voice asked from inside of the apartment as Marylin got scared.

She bruised a piece of her hair behind her ear before closing the door. "It's...um no one Travis." She responded.

Billy thought that his mom was happy to see him and thought that if she takes back Billy and Brooklyn, they would be happy. But it was the complete opposite of what was happening.

"That wasn't dad. Was it?" Billy asked, looking down at the floor, waiting for a response from Marylin. "No, I..." Marylin took in a deep breath. "Listen it's uh...it's really you huh? Is...is your sister here too?" She asked. "No, we...she's busy." Billy muttered. "We didn't mean to runaway, you know that right?"

He looks at his mother with tears in his eyes and she stared back at him emotionless. "We let go, but it was by accident. I...I..." Billy couldn't seem to get all the words out, but Marylin went ahead and spoke ahead of him.

"Yeah. I know. I saw you... I saw the both of you," Marylin admitted and Billy blinked one surprise. "W-what?" He asked confused, hoping she was just joking with him.

"I saw the two of you after, so it was never your fault," Marylin said making Billy look down to the ground in disbelief.

"Look, I was seventeen, my daddy kicked me out and I was screwed up and I was hurting. And when I saw you two with the police...I knew that they could do a better job at taking care of you two than I could."

Billy felt someone kick his stomach and made his heart break as he heard the own words from his mother's mouth. "But your good right? And Brooke, she's so happy and beautiful." She smiles at the mention of Brooklyn.

"Yeah, she's great. All I've wanted to do was let you know I'm doing good. And I should really get back to my real family." Billy gives the black and green compass to her because she might need it. But she didn't even recognize it.

Billy left disappointed in himself before he gets a call from Brooklyn. "Hey, Brooke, I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm the shitty excuse for a brother." But the voice wasn't his sister's. It was a more sinisterly voice that sent shivers down Billy's spine.

"Come home Billy. Come home." It was all the mysterious person said before he heard his sister crying in fear. "Shit!" He muttered angrily. He blood boiled with anger. Freddy needed him. Riley needed him. And he would be damned if he let Sivana hurt her or his new family.

He rushed at the top of the building. He took a deep breath before running as fast as he could and jumping, but not before saying this.

"Shazam!"
