(P.O.V : Asano)
It was the 05th May and the sun's rays were burning like flames on my skin.
A sigh escaped my lips and I could feel a pair of eyes on me.
-
"Too hot for mr. second place?~"
A grinning redhead next to me teased.
-
"I don't know what you're talking about, Akabane."
I started concentrating on my work again.
-
You may be wondering why this annoying, bold, childish and irresponsible person was sitting right next to me.
Well lucky me was thrown in the same class like this ginger-headed idiot after graduation.
Thanks to our names, we also ended up sitting next to each other.
-
Now I had to get used to constant annoyance during class.
Even in the breaks he wouldn't leave me alone, saying as the student council president I have to look after the students with "issues".
Even the new principal supported this stupid idea.
-
"Shū-Chan, why won't you share your lunch with me?~"
He leaned over, hoping he'd get some of my food, and looked way more innocent than he really was.
-
"First of all, don't call me 'Shū-Chan'. Seriously, are we in kindergarten? I told you to bring your own lunch several times before."
I told annoyed by his actings.
-
"Why do you have to be so mean to your favorite person in school?~"
-
I nearly choked.
"In your dreams, Akabane."
-
"I don't need to dream, because I'm telling the truth.
You see, I'm the only student you really interact with since your little minions attend other schools!~"
He stated and rested his head on my lap.
-
I hated to admit it, but he was right.
He really was the person I interacted with most of the time.
It had been almost 2 months since all ended and Akabane was the only one I knew who stayed.
Since then, our relationship improved a lot.
I'm not saying I liked him.
I just want to say there's more in him than I used to see before.
-
During lunch break, Akabane always brought me to his favorite spot, which used to be nearby the former E-Class building.
-
"Akab-"
I stopped as I noticed he fell asleep and smiled a bit.
-
It was normal for him to sleep at this hour of day I figured out.
I got used to his physical contact with me some time ago.
At first, he used to do it to annoy me, but as soon I didn't comment on this actings, he started doing it more often.
I didn't know if he wanted me to say something or just leave it be.
Well, I guess it didn't matter.
-
I wanted to grab my food, but I noticed my box was empty.
-
"What's the matter?~"
The red devil on my lap smiked while looking right into my eyes.
-
I sighed and laughed after that, which lead Akabane to look very surprised.
Indeed, I'm not the funniest guy and I may not understand all kinds of humor, but sometimes even I can't help it.
-
"What's the matter, Akabane?~"
I grinned, knowing he's still looking at me and caused him to blush slightly.
-
"N-Nothing."
He quickly stated, turning to the other side and closing his eyes again.
Man, I guess some people would've called me crazy for thinking he was actually pretty cute back then.
-
After school, we used to go to an old café not far from his place.
Right after we finished our homework, we ordered some meals and ended up talking to each other till 6 pm.
-
"Wanna come over today?~"
Akabane offered smiling.
-
Since I had nothing better to do, I eventually agreed.
As soon as we arrived, he lead me upstairs to his room.
It was usually pretty dark inside this room, but every time I stayed over, he opened the curtains.
His room was separated into two different styles.
On one side, there was his bed with bookshelves and seemed pretty tidy.
On the other side, he had all his gaming equipment on his desk along with some energy drinks and leftovers.
It hurt my eyes to look at this mess.
-
"Why won't you tidy up already?"
I questioned him for like the 100th time.
-
"I just don't want to, Shū-Chan!~"
He said while letting himself fall on his bed.
-
"You're hopeless."
I sat down next to him.
-
Akabane just ignored what I said and pulled me next to him.
"I'm tired."
-
"Then why did you ask me to come over?!"
I asked, while he rested his head on my chest.
-
"Cause I want to sleep with you-"
He said thoughtless.
-
I found myself slightly blushing by Akabane's words.
After he realized what he said, his head became as red as his hair.
"I-I meant, I want to rest with you."
-
"Are you sure?~"
I teased, knowing I'm likely the only person who saw Akabane in this kind of state.
-
"Y-Yes. Now shut up."
He hissed while looking at me with an embarrassed expression on his face.
-
I laughed while petting his head.
"Like I said, you're hopeless!~"
-
His face turned even more furious.
"Just be quiet."
He muttered, while slightly clinging on my shirt.
-
I smiled, putting my arms around him and fell asleep.
