Fight of the Century

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n charges at Rampage, paring the first blow effortlessly with her sword and blocking the second with her shield. She had no experience in fighting but she did get trained to fight in secret. She was trained by Rhinox, Silverbolt, Megatron, and Botanica. Tarantulas had no knowledge of her training with anyone. Y/n, along with her studies with school and work at the greenhouse, had spent a majority of her free time training to fight.

Rampage attacks again and Y/n blocks his attack. "Quit defending and start attacking!" Rampage yells.

"So you want me to attack then?" Y/n takes a swing at Rampage, electricity arcing off of the blade, connected with his arm as he blocks it. He hissed in pain and stagers back. She swings at him again.

"What the hell is that blade made of?!" Rampage looks down at his arm and sees energon leaking from the cut.

"Refined energon, courtesy of Depth Charge," said Y/n. She twirls the blade in her hand. "I know energon cannot damage you but it can hurt you. I plan on maiming you for taking Tarantulas."

Rampage activities his gatling cannon and fires off a few shots, connecting with Y/n's shield.

The shots from the gatling cannon vibrate through Y/n's arm as they hit the shield. Y/n grits her denta, ignoring the pain. This was her first real fight, not counting the one where she went into a rsfe mode and ripped off Rampage's gatling cannon.

*Tarantulas's POV*

Tarantulas managed to escape his bindings and gets to a safer distance away from the two fighting titans. He turns his attention back to the fight and he could see that Y/n was struggling. She had no proper combat training yet she was able to hold her own against Rampage. "She might need some help," said Tarantulas. He pulls out his phone and gives Megatron a call.

"This better be important!" Megan snaps as he answered the call on his end.

"It is. Y/n needs back up. She's in the middle of a fight with Rampage. I still cannot go either Beast Mode or Robot Mode again or I'll risk putting a strain on my injury. Rather nor have Y/n chew me out for that."

"Who did you say she was fighting?"

"I said Rampage!" Tarantulas yells into his phone.

"Oh my Primus! Why the Pits did you...Never mind. I'm on my way. Y/n better hold out as long as she can..."

Tarantulas hangs up his phone and puts it back into his pants pocket. He returns his attention back to the fight and sees Y/n shield bash Rampage, causing a burst of sparks to jump out from it. "She's doing pretty good for her first fight."

It wasn't too much longer before Megatron comes. He sneaks up on Tarantulas. "How's she holding out?" Megatron asks.

"She getting tired. If she's not careful, she'll slip up, giving Rampage an opening."

"Screw it, then. I'm helping her. She'll die if I don't!" Megatron charges into the frey, changing into his Robot Mode, and blocking Rampage's next attack on Y/n.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n and Megatron attack Rampage in turn, one attacks and when Rampage blocks one attack, the other attacks.

Rampage was starting to get mad. When you get mad you get careless. But in Rampage's case, you start bringing out the big guns. Or in his case, his gatling cannons.

Y/n and Megatron barely get out of the way in time to avoid the attack, both taking cover behind the trees. "Got any ideas?" Y/n asks.

"Trying to think of one. Where's Tarantulas?" Megatron asks.

"Taking cover. No point in fighting if you cannot transform." Y/n risks a peek around the tree she was hiding beind to see where Rampage was at. "If this fight drags on any longer, we'll be in trouble?"

"We? You're the one who started this mess! You stole his gatling cannon!"

"Hey it's not my fault! I don't even remember dragging that damn thing back to the lab!" Y/n checks the around the tree again and sees that Rampage was advancing towards them. "Use your flames, Megatron. I'll use my electricity. When he's distracted, I'll rush him."

"If you get hurt because of this, I'm never letting you live this down!"

"Fine by me." Y/n puts her sword and shield away, unsheaths her claws. "Get ready."

Megatron changes back to his Beast Mode. "Ready."

Electricity crackles and sparks off of Y/n's claws. "Now!" Megatron opens his jaws and a jet of flames spew forth. Y/n arcs the electricity off her claws and towards Rampage.

"What the?!" Rampage's eyes widen in surprise. He brings his arms up to his face to block the flames and electricity.

Y/n charges at Rampage, claws out and a battle cry tearing from her throat. She knocks Rampage into the ground and starts clawing him.

Rampage struggles for a bit and managed to get Y/n off of him. He throws her towards the trees. "Think fast, brat!" He throws a grenade at Y/n and Megatron rushes to her, grabs her, and takes cover behind the trees again. The grenade explodes, kicking up dirt and trees, providing enough of a distraction to escape.

Once the dirt and dust settles, Y/n checks to see if the coast was clear. "What the hell?! He got away! I know I damaged him pretty bad."

Tarantulas comes out of hiding. "Sorry I wasn't much use," said Tarantulas.

"It's alright. You wouldn't have been much use anyways. You said so yourself, you couldn't risk turning to either your Beast Mode or Robot Mode without stressing out your wound," said Megatron.

"I think it's safe to say Rampage will no longer be interested in me. So where do you think he'll go?" Y/n asks.

"Probably afternoon Depth Charge. Those two have a history. An ugly one too," said Megatron.

"Let's head home. I feel like sleeping for the next century," said Y/n.

"Agreed," said Megatron.
