Skye
"Aight, up you get! Up you get!"
My eyes open and I scowl as I see Billy beside me, clapping right up to my face. I retaliate by slapping his hands away.
"Whaddya want?", I groan.
Then, it hits me.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! What time is it, Billy?"
He looks at his blue smart watch. "5:30. Sam's loading the car so you'd wanna hurry up."
"Ok, get out so I can get dressed, dumbo!"
He puts his hands up in surrender as he leaves the room.
Well done, Skye. First thing in the morning and you're already being rude to your only friend.
"Shut the fuck up, leave me alone."
I quickly throw my usual baggie hoodie and joggers on. Not your usual August attire unless you're an Irish fuckboy who stinks of weed and beer. Oh, well.
I'm just about to open the door when I notice the all too familiar mathematical compass on my desk.
Go on. You know you want to. It feels so good.
"Fuck off."
No.
"What do I have to do to get you out of my head for one fucking day so I can be there for my sister?!"
Look at it. Pick it up. You know the rest, Skylar Casey. We've done it so many times before. Ever since we met when you was only a little first year, struggling to draw your little angles with your little compass. I'm having so much fun right now watching you cry and quiver like a little baby. It's a hobby for me. That's it girlie, you're doing brilliantly. Alright, you can stop now. Get yourself a little Minnie Mouse plaster and go say goodbye to your sister. Then, its just you and me.
I shakily pull down my sleeve and don't even bother cleaning myself up. I run down the stairs, seeing Cara, Billy, Faye, Eimear and my sister sitting at the table, eating breakfast. Seeing them makes me snap back into reality and I go over and sit next to Eimear.
"Damn, sis, all excited to see me go, eh?", Sam remarks.
"Bruh, don't even remind me of how bad I'll be crying in a few minutes.", I laugh as I reach for some toast.
"You and me both, Skye."
Faye looks under the table in my direction. I furrow my eyes in confusion before I notice a small pool of blood next to my chair. I freeze up in terror, as Faye groans and smacks Billy.
