XANDER HADN'T BEEN able to sleep, it wasn't the first time and it certainly wouldn't be the last either. He had given up on having any sleep and had decided to go for a walk. He walked up to his secret place at the top of the school and simply just sat there as his mind wandered. He stayed and watched the sunrise before he returned to his room and changed into his uniform, throwing a black hoodie over his shirt, he left his hair wet and didn't bother with it. He never really cared about what people thought of him anyway.
He grabbed his phone and made his way out the door, as he passed the room beside his he got the scent of a perfume he didn't recognize. He knew it wasn't Scarlett's and she was the only female level five for year 4's. He shook his head and continued walking, he took the elevator to the cafeteria. He got off and started walking, ignoring the way guys moved away from him and the girls twirling their hair and batting their eyelashes at him.
He had just turned a corner when he felt himself falling, the scent of the unfamiliar perfume invading his senses. He groaned slightly before opening his eyes and meeting those of the person who fell on him. Beautiful, was his first thought. He had never seen more beautiful eyes, but before he could look at her face clearly, she rolled off him before running off. He had no idea what just happened as he lay there for one more second before getting up.
He entered the cafeteria and took an apple before joining his friends at their table. Once he sat down, he immediately noticed the amused looks on their faces.
'What's so funny?' He asked biting into his apple before turning to Scarlett, 'and why, if I may ask do you look so happy?'
' No reason.' She simply said with a secret smile on her face.
He simply raised an eyebrow not bothering with it. They eventually had to leave for class, they had walked out of the cafeteria and were almost at their first class when Scar spoke.
' I wanna introduce you to someone.' she told him.
He simply nodded his head in response but it was enough for her. They entered the class and took their normal seats. He usually sat down by Scar leaving the next seat empty, simply because no one wanted to sit beside him, but Scar had asked him to take that seat leaving the one in the middle empty. He was never really a person who cared about whatever was happening around him, neither did he ask questions but he had to admit that he was a little curious about the whole situation.
The teacher walked in then but that wasn't enough for the delinquents to stop being, well, delinquents. He rolled his eyes at their behaviour and simply made his way to his desk, shaking his head in exasperation at their destructive antics. He set his books on the table with a loud bang which made all the delinquents in the class aside from Scar, Xander, Zeke and Owen stop what they were doing and turn to look at him.
He smiled in satisfaction, 'Now that I have your attention,' he started as he roamed his eyes over them, 'I believe there's a new delin-I mean student among you today.' He corrected himself.
He frowned when he realized that all the faces he was looking at were all familiar, 'Where is-?' he started but was cut off by a shout from the hallway which made all heads turn towards it.
'EVIE! WHY AREN'T YOU IN CLASS?' They heard the voice say.
' BECAUSE CLASS IS BORING!'
'WHAT DO YOU MEAN CLASS IS BORING?! THE REASON YOU'RE HERE IS TO GO TO CLASS!'
' WRONG! THE REASON I'M HERE IS TO SHARE MY AWESOMENESS WITH THE WORLD' They heard her reply and Xander turned towards Scarlett with an amused smile on his face.
