EVIE WASN'T EXACTLY SURE what she was expecting, after all it was her first time at a juvenile reform school but it still didn't prepare her for what she saw. After all, she was pretty sure that most high-schools didn't look a prison, also she was almost a hundred percent positive that no average highschool had six security cameras outside the gate, ready to catch any daring student and if by any chance any of them were at least 3 percent like her, then there's a high chance there's been more than one incident.

The building was mostly away from the city, surrounded by peace and silence and trees. It was tall and imposing, on itself, made entirely of bleak, dull and grey bricks, that to her it seemed more like an abandoned mansion than where people come to learn. The building was about five floors high in a rectangular kind of shape.

She smirked before opening the car door and getting out, feeling right at home. She heard the car door close behind her but she already knew it was the female police officer who had been assigned to bring her here. As she stood there, she saw two men making their way towards their direction, one older than the other.

'Evie this is Mr Rudd,' the female police officer whose name she had found out was Gwen, said as she gestured at the oldest man, 'he's the principal here.' Evie turned to him then, just see that he was already scrutinising and judging her, so she did the only thing she could do, she grinned at him. He merely raised an eyebrow in return. He seemed calm but not in a good way, like he could serve out cold, harsh and heartless punishments and call them an early Christmas gift. Which she guessed was the type of attitude you needed to have in order to keep delinquents in check.

'Also since we're not sure on how you'll act with kids your age, or just people in general,' Gwen started again, 'the judge has assigned to you a guard who will be with you for the following week.'

'Is he a robot?' She questioned out loud.

Gwen let out a laugh, the side of the principal's mouth twitching slightly before he became stone faced, again. 'Oh no, Matt's just,' she paused looking for the right word, 'you could say he's dedicated to his job.'

She looked into his cold impassive eyes, 'Hey Matt, I'm Evie but I'm gonna call you Matty.', he simply blinked at her making her chuckle, her smile basically screaming crazy, 'I can tell that we're going to be great friends.' she said flashing him a wolfish grin.

'Well that's my cue, so I better get going.' Gwen said as she started back to her car, Evie following her to get back her luggage. After the judge had given her her sentence she had been taken back to her apartment where all her belongings where. She only took the necessities, her clothes and a few other things. It wasn't much really, just two small suitcases and a bag.

She watched Gwen drive away until she was gone, before turning back to Matt and Mr Rudd. 'Matt will show you around the school and accompany you to your dorm. And if you're gonna cause trouble, and we all know you will, at least let it be a full week first.' He simply said before turning around, and heading back into the school. All she got from that was that she could do whatever she wants, as long as she doesn't get in his way.

'Well then,' she started as she turned to him, 'shall we?' she asked flashing him a charming grin.

He just turned on his heel, not even answering her question and started walking. She simply shook her head and started walking with him, but just as she was about to enter a hand was placed in front of her, she traced it back to his face with an eyebrow raised at him. 'A scan is needed in order to ensure that you're not carrying any weapons.'

She smirked at that before following him to the metal detector, she wasn't phased at all by the machine basically searching her, after all she's used to it. The machine started going crazy at her knee pocket, making him narrow his eyes at her. He raised his hand but before he could touch it, she reached in and brought out a lighter.

'It's just something my sister gave me, I couldn't leave it behind.' she said softly, the first emotion he had seen on her face since they met. He wasn't sure what to think about that but let it go and let her keep it. He also scanned her bags coming up clean.

After that they continued on their way, Evie after seeing the outside and not sure how the inside would look like wasn't sure on how to feel about the interior that was admittedly nicer than the outside, which made her realise that the building must only look like that from the outside to build a sense of foreboding for most delinquents, keyword most, except her. Evie after asking several questions and no response, started asking irrelevant questions if just to annoy him. After all, his reactions were amusing to her, at least the times she managed to get a reaction out of him.

He showed her around the school, where the classes were held, the principal's office and the cafeteria. Basically everything, but something still seemed off to her.

'Where is everyone?' She asked, after noticing there was barely anyone around.

'It's Sunday.' He told her plainly, like that was the answer to all her questions in life.

'Yeah, no shit sherlock, I think I got that part.' She snorted.

She heard him sigh before he rolled his eyes, and she gave an exaggerated reaction. 'Oh my god, did you just roll your eyes?' she asked while dramatically clutching her chest, 'I never thought this day would come.' she sniffed while wiping off her imaginary tears.

He gave her a weird look before shaking his head in exasperation, wondering how he'd survive this week, before noticing they were already in front of the elevators. He opened it, waiting until she was inside before he pressed the number for the fifth floor.

'Why the fifth floor?' she asked curiously, if there's one thing to know about her it's that she rarely asks questions from other people, except maybe just to annoy them, since she prefers to just find the answer out herself. Never rely on anyone but yourself, has always been her motto.

'Dorms are assigned based on the year and how dangerous the student is, and you're on the fifth.' he explained in the same emotionless tone as always. Evie smirked a bit at what he said.

She looked up at him then, eyes sparkling with a certain glint in them that made him worry if he was safe, 'Good to know.'

Just then the doors opened and Matt almost sighed in relief as he stepped out of the confined space, Evie noticed and chuckled knowing she could still make anyone uncomfortable and wary of her. It's a talent, really.

They continued walking with Matt leading but he kept glancing back, almost afraid she'd run away, and she seriously contemplated doing that the next moment he turned back around if just to see his reaction, she could almost imagine it.

'Here's your dorm, I'll be here tomorrow morning to see you off, your schedule and materials are already on your desk inside.' he said the moment she opened the door and when she turned back to say something to him, the words already on the tip of her tongue, she saw he was already gone. She simply raised an eyebrow before closing the door as she turned back around.

She took a look around the room, it was nothing special really, plain black walls, a bed in the middle, a closet to her right and a bathroom to her left, there was a window in the room, large enough for her to crawl through if not for the metal bars in the way, there was a desk right by it, with what she supposed to be her schedule and school materials on top of it. It was just simple. Though any one within a five-mile radius could easily tell by the glint in her eyes that it won't stay that way for long. She walked to the closet and spotted three set of uniforms in them but didn't bother looking at them, she simply placed her clothes in them, leaving out her pyjamas before closing it back. She took her towel and headed to the bathroom. She took a look in the mirror, seeing the same black hair, crystal blue-green eyes, button nose and pink lips as always.

She glanced at her outfit, before reaching into her pocket and taking out the lighter and her dagger. She hadn't lied when she said that her sister gave it to her, since the person was someone like a big sister to her, she just didn't mention that she also had a dagger in there gifted to her by the same person. It was her most cherished possession aside from certain things. It also had a crystal embedded in the hilt. Which happened to be her favorite stone.

After her bath, she had kept her dagger under her clothes in her closet, before hopping into the bed in a tank top and cotton shorts, but she couldn't fall asleep, after all she's been in juvie and various detention centres, but a juvenile reform school, that's a first, and she didn't really know what to expect. She eventually fell asleep, and the one thought on her mind was that she couldn't wait to see Scar tomorrow.
