1 MONTH LATER

It was the middle of the night and I was coughing. I had heartburn which was causing me to cough. I felt Jahseh patting my stomach as I coughed.
"Baby are you okay. You been coughing all night?" He spoke
"Mhm" I hummed. I started falling back sleep when I felt him put his hand on my face and start caressing my cheek. I fell back asleep.

"Baby.....baby" Jahseh shook me gently. I fluttered my eyes open.
"The dumbass power went out so I had to go get some breakfast" he said holding a McDonals bag. I laughed and sat up. He handed me my breakfast and I ate it.
"They didn't have no apple juice so I got you orange" he said handing me my drink.
"Thank you" I thanked him
"Mhm" he hummed. I finished up my breakfast.

It was around 8:00 and the power was still out. Jahseh and I loved the dark so we didn't light any candles. There was also a storm outside. We were just having a conversation while we laid in. bed.
"Let's cuddle" he said
"I'm comfortable right here" I whined
"C'mon baby. It's dark in the room and there's a thunderstorm.....this is a perfect time for cuddling" he said. I climbed over him so I was between his legs and rested my head on his chest. I couldn't see him but I knew he was smiling. He pulled the blanket over us. He softly rubbed my back. I heard him yawn and since he yawned of course I yawned too. I fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom. I came back and laid next to Jahseh. I was falling back asleep until I had a full on cough attack. Jahseh started patting my back. I kept coughing and he started patting my back harder. I KEPT coughing. He sat up a little and continued patting my back.
"You okay baby?" He questioned. I couldn't answer because of my coughing.
"Imma go get you somethin to drink" he said rushing out the room. He came back with a juice box with apple juice in it.
"Here baby" he said putting the straw at my lips. I started drinking it. I drank it all and stopped coughing. He started rubbing my back.
"You okay?" He questioned. I nodded my head and laid it back down. I was on my stomach he while he was rubbing my back. He laid down too and continued rubbing my stomach. My blinks became longer and I finally fell back asleep.
