I'm in Love with my Professor?

Chapter 6: Realization

*Violet's POV*

"No..no STOP.......please please" Tears were streaming down my eyes as my father continuously kicked my ribs. "This is whatcha get lil bitch!" His words were slurred caused by the many beers he had. "Please..............please........." Everything went black.

My eyes shot open out of terror. Thoughts ran through my head quickly as I remembered that terrible nightmare. 'God, I really need to stop with these damn nightmares' I thought to myself and put my head in my hands. I realized that I was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. I got out of bed quietly and walked into the washroom. I turned the sink on and splashed my face with water.

I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror. Tears began to stream down my cheeks. What the bloody hell is wrong with me? What did I ever do to deserve this? I started to sob hard. 'Why? Why why why?WHY?!' I screamed in my thoughts. I really need to get some help. I walked out of the washroom and went back to bed. I lay there and just sobbed for hours until I finally fell asleep.

(Time skip)

The next morning I awoke with bloodshot eyes, tear streaks down my cheeks and a pounding headache. I sniffled and looked at the clock. 9:00 a.m. Luckily today was Sunday so I got to sleep in. I just couldn't find myself to fall asleep. I sighed and decided to get dressed. I went into the wash room and took a long, relaxing shower. When I got out of the shower, I dried myself off with a spell and went to my closet to pick out something to wear. After about 3 minuets of searching I finally decided on a green, long sleeve, V- neck shirt that showed a bit of my stomach and a black skirt that barley covered my thighs. I sipped on a pair of my black, ankle high combat boots and walked out of my dorm gracefully.

When I got out onto the court yard, many people were looking at me weirdly. I just brushed it off as nothing and walked over to the cliff. I was enjoying myself in silence until....."M-m-miss V-v-varley w-what happened t-to your l-legs?" I heard a stuttering voice behind me which I recognized as Professor Quirrell. I looked down at my legs to see that outlines of my scales were still showing from last night. "Erm...nothing. Just old scars," nice one Violet. He nodded, obviously not satisfied with my answer but walked off anyway.

I sighed and looked down at my legs. Why didn't my scales completely go away last night? What is happening to me? I think I should just stay away from everyone today. That would most likely be best for me.

*Severus's POV*

When I woke up this morning, I decided that I would take a quick stroll. I took a shower, got dressed and headed outside. When I got out there I saw someone sitting on the edge of the cliff. I easily recognized the figure as Violet. I sighed nervously and walked slowly walked over to her.

"Hello Miss Varley," I said coolly. She looked up at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. I noticed they were extremely bloodshot.

"Hello sir," she said in a quiet voice that was almost inaudible. I softened my eyes at her slightly.

"Is there something wrong Miss Varley?" I asked her with concern in my voice. "No. Nothing at all," she said, again very softly. I sighed and turned my direction to something that caught my eyes. Her legs seemed to have an outline of scales on them, but that impossible considering she's human.

"Erm, Miss Varley, what is that on your legs?" I asked her. She looked up at me and I saw tears begin to form in her eyes. She sighed and said, "If I tell you something will you promise to keep it a secret?" "Yes, of course my dear," I said to her calmly.

"Well s-sir, I'm an animegus. A dragon animegus. I'm the last dragon animegus alive," she said nervously. "My goodness, I-I had no idea," I stuttered. "Do you mind showing your transformation to me?" "N-no sir, it will have to be at night though. We could easily be caught in the daylight," she said. I nodded. We said our goodbyes to each other and then I set off back to the castle.

(Time skip to midnight also POV change)

I walked outside to the cliff to see Severus already there. I sighed and advanced towards him. "H-hello sir," I said to him. He turned around to face me and I instantly felt mt cheeks burn up. "Are you ready Violet?" He asked me coolly. I nodded and stood in front of him. I though hard until I felt my bones begin to enlarge and felt all of my extra body parts retract from my body. Soon I was fully transformed into a black and purple dragon, my blue eyes shining greatly at him.

I saw his eyes widen as he looked at me. "Can you fly?" He asked me. I nodded, spread out my wings and began to lift up into the air slightly. At this point I thought his eyes would pop out of their sockets. I laughed slightly which ended up becoming a low growl. "D-do you think you could give me a lift?" He asked nervously. I simply smiled at him and gestured my head towards my back. He climbed up and I quickly lifted up into the air, flying very fast. I felt him holing onto my neck for dear life.

We flew all around the castle and over the Forbidden Forest. Soon we landed safely on the ground. He hopped off my back and I transformed back into a human. "That was absolutely amazing," he said looking stunned. I smiled at him and yawned. He took me back to my dorm and when I went to tell him goodnight, he kissed my forehead sweetly. Then he left with a wave. I stood there blushing like crazy at what had happened. What an amazing night indeed.
