I'm in Love with my Professor?

Chapter 7: The Rose

*Violet's POV*

I woke up the next morning with very hot cheeks. The memories of last night washed over me and I smiled to myself, emitting a light giggle. I sighed and looked at the clock. 5:30 a.m. I got out of bed and took a quick, relaxing shower. When I got out of the shower I got dressed into my robes and read until It was time for breakfast.

(Time skip!!! Yes I know it's a bit early but lets just roll with it)

Finally when 6:00 a.m struck I headed down to the great hall for breakfast. When I got there after the many flights of stairs, I took a seat next to my brother at the Slytherin table and began to eat. I didn't eat very much considering the side effects from last night make me a bit nauseous in the morning.

I just so happened to look up when I saw Severus staring down at me, a very bright hint of pink on his cheeks. I lightly smiled at him feeling the heat radiate onto my cheeks.

"What's up with you?" I heard Pansy ask. "O-oh nothing,'' I stuttered, cursing myself. She shrugged and looked up to see what I was staring at. When she did her eyes widened tremendously. "OH MY GO-mhmhh!" I slapped my hand over her mouth before she could finish her sentence. I sighed and nodded. I slowly took my hand away from her mouth as she had seemed to calm down.

"Wait you.....him.....what?!" She asked excitedly. "Look, it's not like that. Were not together it's just complicated I guess. I mean I like him but I don't think he feels the same," I said looking down. "Are you kidding me?! Have you seen the way he looks at you? First of all you're gorgeous, second you've got an amazing personality, and third of all, you're a fucking Varley. Anyone with that last name is automatically extraordinary. Even more so that that Potter boy," she said happily.

"Thanks so much love. This is why you're my best friend!" I said and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back and we released each other after about another 5 minuets. Soon all the students began filing out and we soon followed.

Pansy and I walked to our DADA class quickly. When we got there, no one had arrived. Professor Quirrell greeted us as we took our seats next to each other. Soon all the students began to come in and soon class began. After an hour of Quirrell talking about vampires and what not to do around them, we were finally released. Pansy and I released and we parted ways.

(Another Time Skip)

Finally my class came around, sadly for me I was extremely nervous about going to potions. I sighed and entered Severus's call. I saw him sitting at his desk and blushed hard. I quickly went to my desk and took out my potions book. I sighed and read in peace until...."U-um Miss Varley may I-I have a w-word with y-you after class?" Severus asked. I nodded at him and blushed.

One everyone had left after class, I walked up to Severus as calmly as possible. "You wanted to speak with me, Professor?" I asked. He cleared his throat and said, "Yes I do. I just wanted to ask you u-um......how are your marks in all of your classes Violet?" "Th-there very good Professor," I sighed and looked down.

It was obvious that I wanted a different question but I simple went along with that one. "That will be all for today Violet but before you go I wanted to give you something," he said slowly. He walked over to a vase that had one single rose inside. He delicately gabbed it and handed it over to me.

"Thank you Professor," I said in a quiet voice. "You're welcome. Now you must be off or someone will think were up to something," he said jokingly. I nodded and walked out of the room smiling. I walked up to my dorm in silence like always. When I got there I fed Venom and lay down, the rose resting gingerly in my hands.

When I took a closer look at the rose I realized that it was a black dragon rose, which happens to be very sacred to my family. It had a gorgeous blue trim around the edges of the pedals and a beautiful green stem with bright green leaves.

I sighed as I examined the rose softly, trying not to damage the pedals. 'Why is he so nice to me? What's so special about me?' I asked myself. Whatever it is, he must really like it.

Soon dinner came around so I put my rose into a vase of water and slowly made my way down to the Great Hall. When I arrived I took my normal seat in between Pansy and Jack. Once dinner was served everyone began eating, my brother looking like a wild animal that hadn't had food in weeks. I slowly took a piece of chicken and began to eat quietly.

"So, anything spectacular happen between you and Snape?" Pasny asked me suddenly. "Nothing way out of the ordinary really. He did give me a beautiful rose though," her eyes widened at my statement. "OK, tonight I'm staying in your dorm and were gonna hatch a plan that'll get him to confess to you," I raised my eyebrow at her. "What if he doesen't like me?" "Are you kidding me?! He's never that nice to anyone, especially not a student," she said excitedly. "Alright I'll go along with the plan, but if I go down I'm taking you down with me. She nodded and we continued to eat until dinner was over. This is going to end in disaster I just know it.

I honestly didn't think I would make it this far but I did and it was all thanks to you guys. Don't worry this story is most likely going to be extremely long so we have a long ways away. I might even make a second book if you all are interested. Anyways thank you so much for everything, I couldn't have done this without you.
