I'm in Love with my Professor?

Chapter 8: The Embarrassing Plan

(Violet's POV)

Later that night after everyone had gone to bed, Pansy and I went to my dorm room and came up a plan. We called it Operation: Get Snape to confess his love to me. (Pansy picked it out). "So, I think for your first task you should smile at him whenever he looks at you and maybe give him a little wink,"Pansy said slyly. I sighed. "Well, what if something goes wrong. What if he knows I'm up to something?" I asked worriedly. "Nothing is going to go wrong love. Just trust me," she said in a calming voice. I nodded slowly and sucked in a tight breath. She sighed obviously sensing my nervousness. "It'll be fine just trust me," she said.

I nodded again not trusting my voice. I yawned lightly and looked over at the clock. 1:30 a.m. Damn, we've been up for a long ass time."Are you tired?" I asked Pansy. "Yeah, quite a bit actually," she responded. I grabbed a couple of blankets from my dresser and placed them on the spare bed next to mine. "It'll be safer if you sleep here tonight," I told her. With a flick of my wand I cast a simple spell and the bed made it's self. We both laid down on out separated beds but we couldn't fall asleep.

"How much do you love him?" Pansy suddenly asked me. I made a questioning noise and looked over at her. "I love him a lot. I fell like I can share any secret with him and he would never judge me. I love how sweet he actually is under all that rough and toughness. I don't think he loves me back though," I said disappointingly. Pansy sighed and looked over to my dresser. "Is that the rose he gave you?" I nodded slowly.

She got out of bed and walked over to it. She picked it up and examined it. Suddenly her eyes widened."Violet, do you know what this is?" she asked excitedly. "Uh, a black dragon rose," I said emotionless. "It's not just a black dragon rose. It's an everlasting rose. Not only do these roses live forever, they are a sign of everlasting love. There also extremely rare," she said as she jumped up and down. "Do you know what this means?!" "Erm-" she cut me off before I could answer. "It means Snape loves you. And when I say he loves you, he really really loves you. I don't think I have met anyone who would go through so much trouble for an everlasting rose if they didn't love the person they were giving it to," she said.

At that point my mouth was nearly to the floor. He loves me. He really loves me. My cheeks were burning up and Pansy giggled at my blushing state. "It's been a long night," that was the last thing I said before I fell into a deep sleep.

(Time skip)

The next morning was........different. When I woke up I looked at the clock. 5:00 a.m. I jumped out of bed and took a shower. When I got out I got dressed in my robes and sat back down on my bed. I sighed and picked up my rose. 'Wow' was all I could think. How did this happen? Why did it happen?

I heard Pansy wake up with a stretch. "Morning" I said to her not taking my eyes off the rose. She waved at me slowly. "The washroom is over there," I directed her. She nodded and went to take a shower. When she got out she put her robes on and sat on her bed. I looked at the clock again. 6:00 a.m. "We should probably go down for breakfast," I said. "Yeah," she agreed. We put our shoes on and left the dorm.

When we arrived a the Great Hall, we took our usual seats and began to eat. "So you remember the plan for today right?" Pansy asked me. I nodded and sighed. "Do I have to do this?" I asked her. She nodded eagerly. "God damn," I muttered. "What was that?" she asked. "Nothing,"

After breakfast Pansy and I went to DADA and did our normal routine throughout the day. When potions class came around, I was trembling like a leaf in the wind. God why is Pansy making me do this? What did I ever do to her? I entered Severus's classroom and took my normal seat.

Soon all of the students began filling in and seconds after everyone had taken their seats, Severus burst through the doors. He went to the front of the class and began to teach. Every time he looked at me I smiled to him. Surprisingly, he gave a small smile back to me. Luckily, none of the other students noticed. At one point I gave him a slight wink which made him blush uncontrollably. Again, those dunderhead students didn't notice. (Which I'm thankful for).

When class ended we all walked out of the classroom and to our dorms. As I was waking out, Severus grabbed my arm roughly (unintentionally) and pulled me back. "What was with you today?" He asked cuoriously. "Um.....nothing. Nothing at all sir," I said frightened. I knew he could tell I was nervous but simply dismissed it as nothing. "Goodnight sir," I said as calmly as possible. "Goodnight Violet," he said questioningly.

When I walked into the common room I felt someone pull me back. "So how did it go?" I recognized the voice as Pansy. "Good. I'll tell you the whole story in my dorm," I said and waked up the stairs that led to my dorm. She followed. When we got there I sat her on my bed and told her the entire story. "HE ACTUALLY BLUSHED?!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. I nodded. Good thing these walls are sound proof. "Can I stay here tonight? My dorm is so boring," she asked. "Of course you can. Do you just want to move in with me?" I asked. "Yes Yes YES!" She yelled again. I chuckled.

With magic, she moved all of her things into my dorm and started to put them away. When she finished she set her pet owl next to her. I thought tonight I would be a bit adventurous so I took Venom out of his cage and wrapped him around me neck. As I did so Pansy's eyes widened in awe. "Your actually going to sleep with him?" I nodded. "Of course. Venom wouldn't hurt a fly without my command." "Wow" she said and layed down. We both fell asleep in silence.

I opened my eyes and walked over to my dresser. I gently gabbed my rose and layed it on my bedside table. "Goodnigh, Severus. I love you," I kissed the rose and fell asleep. What a night.
