Sunrise
"Lulu, if you won't get up now you'll be late for the bus."
Luhan's eyes fluttered open, squinting at the bright sun peeking through his windows. He sat up, squeezing his eyelids as a head rush overtook him.
"Darling?"
"Yeah mom, I know, I'm coming!" Grabbing his phone, Luhan cursed at the sight; his phone didn't plug in properly, and the music from the night before drained the battery to the last eight percent. He would have to charge it at school. His eyes fluttered up to the time, only for his heart to clench.
"Eight forty?!" He yelped, swinging his legs out of bed.
"Yeah, I'd hurry if I were you."
Luhan looked up to see Tao, grinning sheepishly. Luhan bit back a snarky reply when he saw his lunchbox; as usual, Tao decided to be nice and pack his things for him.
"You get the car ready, I'll drive us today."
"Only if I don't have to pay gas money."
Damn it. "Fine."
Tao grin widened as he tossed the bag to Luhan, who awkwardly caught it. "Deal. I'll get your breakfast, you get down before mom attacks-"
"Lu Han," her Chinese diction cut through the air. "You better be on time."
"Too late," Luhan grumped, smirking at Tao's giggles as he reached for a shirt. "Get to the car, and start the engine, it's freezing today!"
Luhan picked up a shirt from his chair as Tao scampered off, wondering if he should just put on the light grey shirt and call it a day. A gorgeous face suddenly appeared in his mind, bolting his feet to the floor. There they were... those mesmerizing amber eyes holding his, a smirk spread across his face. Those rosy lips mentioning how Lu suited, quote on quote, vivid colours. They would bring out your features.
"Sehun," Luhan sighed, heart skipping a beat.
"What?"
Luhan yelped, dropping the shirt as his dad stood there, cup of coffee in hand.
"Dad, come on!" Luhan grabbed a clean shirt, covering his chest.
"Who's Sehun?"
"Does it matter? Get out, I'm naked!"
"Boxers and socks are not naked, also; boxers and socks? Really?"
"Dad-"
"Should we take you to therapy? Who sleeps in-"
"Dad!"
"Oh for crying out loud, Hangeng! Get down here!"
"Come on Victoria, you know I'm only kidding-"
"Dad." Luhan growled. "Door. Please."
Hangeng held up a hand, smiling in good humor as he closed the door. Luhan rolled his eyes, only to realize the shirt he was holding was actually Tao's. Dad must have done the laundry yesterday. But a swift check at his phone screen sent Luhan into a panic; he decided to yank the shirt on anyway, grabbing his phone charger and running out his room, nearly barreling into his dad. Hangeng's smiling face turned confused.
"Uh, son-"
"No time dad, love you bye!" Luhan ran past him, skipping down the steps and skittering into the kitchen to give his mom a cheek kiss.
"Bye mom, gotta go, Tao's waiting."
"Alright honey- um, Lulu," her voice had an edge of laughter to it. "That's your brothers-"
