Sehun x Luhan

"Are you sure you don't want to invite him over? I've heard so much about this boy, I'm curious!"

"Mom, he's already got all the stuff we need for the science experiment. Besides, I'm sure you'd ask him so many questions his ears would fall off."

Hangeng snorted, bracing himself as Victoria raised a threatening spatula. "Honey, you know he's right. Let him go over there already."

"Actually, Sehun's picking me up," Luhan said, quickly stuffing a handful of crackers in his mouth to avoid answering his mom's questions for a second. Surprisingly, she only raised an eyebrow but kept quiet. The front door opened and Tao came into the kitchen, a faint blush on his cheeks. Luhan opened his mouth to greet him, but it died in his throat as Kris and Sehun walked in after him. He stared, in absolute shock...

"My, hello there!" Victoria immediately stood straighter, grinning as she skittered forward. "How handsome, and so similar! Are you brothers?"

Luhan could hardly believe it, but they looked nearly identical. Both tall, both with that light brown hair, pale as ever and those eyes... but Kris was also different. Held himself up differently, warmer in a way, as if it were easier for him to relax...

"You know each other?" Luhan winced as he realized he said those words out loud. He glanced at Sehun, who gave him a tiny smile.

"We've known each other for quite a while," Kris laughed, nudging Sehun playfully; he didn't budge an inch. "Ever since I was recovering from that stupid leg problem, he's been by my side! You know, aside from Tao."

Tao gave a giggle, pressing himself against Kris playfully as he glanced down. Sehun shared a look with him, and Luhan saw a flash of information pass between them. There was something they weren't sharing, and he could only guess what it could be.

"Well, we'll be off," Luhan intervened.

"You boys stay safe," Dad said through a mouthful of spaghetti, causing Mom to facepalm.

"Come home before midnight, not a minute later!" She scolded kindly before smiling and giving Luhan a hair ruffle. He ducked out of her grasp with a pout, only to freeze as Sehun did the same. He glanced up in surprise as Sehun allowed a smile, fingers massaging his scalp soothingly.

"I will make sure he gets home safely, miss." Sehun smiled before tossing a casual arm over Luhan's shoulders and leading him outside. Luhan felt himself hold his breath as they came outside, only to squeak when Sehun poked his side.

"Relax, I won't eat you without your permission." Sehun kept a smile on his lips as Luhan sputtered.

"Excuse you!" Luhan paused, then grinned evilly. "I kinda ate you yesterday..."

Sehun tossed his head back, laughing. His laugh was magical, and Luhan swore he drooled a little. Making it to his car parked across the street, Luhan rolled his eyes in good fashion as Sehun opened the door for him. He gave his cheek a pat as he sat down, and by the time his seat belt was buckled in Sehun was starting the engine.

"So..." Luhan paused, making sure his rehearsed words sounded smooth as Sehun's driving. "You promised to tell me... who you were."

Sehun leaned back in his chair, one hand on the steering wheel and the other lingering near Luhan's thigh. "My name is Oh Sehun, I'm eighteen years old and I just moved from Nova Scotia with my family here. I've got two brothers, a sister and an eccentric dad who tries to control every step of our lives."

"Wow..." Luhan shook his head gingerly, eyebrows perked.

"That's the cover story."

Luhan glanced up as Sehun pulled off the main road, travelling down a dirt path leading through the woods. Luhan couldn't bear to rip his gaze away from Sehun, unsure if he could trust him out of his line of vision. Sehun eyes slowly made their way to Luhan's, unbearable warmth coming from them.
