Edmund sighed and collapsed on the bed, what if bringing Demetrise was a bad idea after all. He didn't want the throne of southern Gwenleria though he was the rightful heir to the throne but he also couldn't leave the kingdom in the hands of a monarch who derives great joy from war and thinks he can only prove himself as a great king when he wins one. Aurora, he had no idea how he had let himself make a promise of marriage to her, He wasn't ready to settle down at 27 god no, James would light his ass up. Literally.

"You're done?" Edmund heard Demetrise at the doorway of the room but he didn't look at her.

"You're late" He stood up, playing how cool he looked right now in his head.

"You didn't give a specific time." She threw her little blue purse she was forced to carry on the bed and walked over to the dresser. Opening it, she noticed it was empty then her eyes flew to the luggages on the floor. "Thank you" She said and looked up at Edmund. He made a low grunting sound that she didn't recognise as he stared at her with that oh so familiar look she didn't understand on his face "Edmund?"

"You look... nice" He said like he was having trouble talking and walked out.

"Weird much?" She whispered and threw herself on the bed which was still warm from when Edmund had layed on it.  "Gwenleria" she said to herself, unsure of whether or not she was making a mistake. She hadn't signed the papers she was given so legally, she could still back out, but then she'll be back on the streets in an instant. She snapped her eyes open when she heard someone walk in, someone that wasn't Edmund by the sound of his footsteps.

"I've been sent to collect the luggages miss" The huge man in a suit said as he walked past the bed to where the bags sat.

"Alright"

"And you are to come with me to the airport"

"Where's Edmund?"

"I believe he's already on his way there Miss" He lifted the luggages like they weighed nothing and walked out of the room. Demetrise grabbed the file from the table along with the purse and left the suite with the huge man.

"Why the hell did he not take me with him to the airport?"

"Business. maybe"

"Oh I'll show him business" She laser beamed an invisible Edmund in the elevator.

The ride to the airport was short and uncomfortable. She was almost 100% certain that she would make a mess of things. At the airport, she followed the huge man who carried the luggagges to the private aircraft and that was when she saw Edmund but he wasn't alone. He seemed to be engrossed in a conversation with Aurora. She walked into the jet, noting to herself that it was her first time in one as she took a seat at a corner. "I mean, it's a private jet so he must have shit loads of money" She said trying to cancel out the fact that she just might be getting kidnapped. At least she's getting kidnapped in style. she thought and chuckled to herself just as Edmund walked into the jet. She cleared her throat and feigned seriousness when his eyes met hers and she watched him take a seat at her far left.

Thirty minutes after take-off and she found herself engrossed in the contract given to her. Yes she was slightly uneducated but she attended highschool long enough to know that she was supposed to be careful with written agreements like these. She stood up with the papers in hand and walked over to where Edmund sat also looking through a few papers. "What are you doing?" She asked as she plopped down on the seat directly opposite him.

"Work stuff" He said without sparing her a look

"You work?"

"I used to until the minute you decided to share a seat with me"

Demetrise glared at him, hard and long enough for him to sigh in defeat and suspend his 'work'

"I own a global centralized corporation that acquires cost advantage through centralized production wherever cheaper resources are available"

"I don't understa..."

"I have a business of my own that fetches me money and needs running. Do you have something for me?" He looked at her hands and then at her emerald eyes that looked at him with so much curiousity

"Yes, the contract, it states here that I cannot pull out of the agreement without your permission and signature in a written document"

"Mhmm" He proded absent mindedly as he looked through a new set of papers

"I don't think I feel good about that"

He sighed and tore his eyes from his 'work' "This...arrangement is too important to me. Pulling out of this...arrangement right in the middle of it will cause a big problem for me and I wouldn't like to find myself in trouble because you are allergic to cats"

"I'm not allergic to cats, I love cats but that's not the point."

"Exactly. The point is if you're not okay with the terms and condition of our arrangement, you can pull out now otherwise, when we get to Gwenleria, You'll be stuck with me until you're no longer needed" Edmund said and somehow it felt like he was telling a fictional story.

"I'm not terminating our agreement" She said, voice as sharp as ice and eyes as hard as stone. She felt ridiculously angry for reasons she did not know. She snatched the pen he was using earlier and signed the contract as quickly as possible before leaving for her seat.
Edmund sighed as he picked up the pen and contract from the chair she left it on.
Setting all his documents on the seat to his right, he looked outside the window and watched the sun rise. He liked to leave for Gwenleria at a time when he could catch the sunrise. Somehow it prepared him for the troubles and stress Gwenleria cooks him.
