I walked into the corner drug store with Victoria, looking around i asked "Why are we even in here exactly?" I picked up a body soap and sniffed it. I threw it on the ground and gagged at the wet dog scent body wash. Victoria looked around. She grabbed my arm tightly and pulled me through the store. "For dracula's sake Scarlet, stay near me, I can't let a werewolf run up behind us and kill you." She wrapped her arm around mines, making us stay close. Every few steps she would look behind us.
"Stay close, this is a multiple creature store."She said
"Okay, I'm not moving anywhere silly rabbit" I flipped my hair
"Scarlet, this is no joke we need to get the dye and get home, only a few vamps in here tonight."
"I heard you Victoria, but there is not a werewolf in the world that's going to ruin besty time OK? Wait... Dye?"
She nodded and loosened my arm a little. We went down the hair products isle and looked at some black dye and noticed a girl staring at us every once in a while. "Ugh, I smell the dog all over her." I said rolling my eyes. "That's Jannah, she's such a mean girl to those who let her be." Victoria said picking up a die then putting it back dye. I looked over again and saw Toryan walk down the isle too. No matter how people say I have to hate werewolves, Toryan was so cute and it was so nice of him to let me ride on his back when I sprang my ankle, he was a gentleman. Wait... Jannah looked at me then wrapped her hand around Toryan's neck and kissed him. She stared at me again as if she could see through my skin and was watching my heart slide through the shredder. I gasped and smacked my hands over my mouth. "Charcoal or Dark Nights? Hm..." Victoria said trying to decide between two different shades of black dye. I turned and made Victoria look at the couple kiss. I wanted to drive a stake through my heart at that moment. To see the boy that I wished I could be with, kiss another girl. With my hand still over my mouth I began to cry. Toryan looked up with his eyes widened and turned pale. My face went blank, as did my mind. I was mentally in a white room that seemed to get shrink in size every time someone called my name. Eventually the room enclosed on my causing me to snap out of the trans. I looked at Toryan and Jannah and walked off with the blank expression still lingering on my face.
In the candy isle, i stare blankly at a box of chocolate. "Scarlet! There you are! I've been looking all around the store for you." Victoria said running to me. Still pale with no expression, I turned and looked at her. She shook me and suddenly my skin and face turned back to normal. "Oh god! Victoria! I saw what it was actually like to walk around heartless." I said out of breath. I grabbed my chest. "It was a white room, every time you called my name I just, the room, it got smaller and encaved on me and I .. I .." Victoria hugged me and led me to the register. She paid for her stuff and we walked out. "It felt like I was in there a million years! It was absolutley nuts! If I told just any old person what happened, they would've had me tested for drugs!" I rambled on. I shook my head. When we arrived home she took out a pack of dye and handed me the other one. "Dye it black and meet me out here tomorrow at 6 pm for school ok?"
I walked into my home and made sure she got in safe. Then, I walked in my room and stared at my hair. I held a limp piece of manderin orange hair in my hands. It was as if my hair passed out at the sound of dye. My hands slid through my soon to be black hair. Feeling on every strand on every side, a thought popped in my head, why was I even dying my hair in the first place? I tilted my head to the side still looking at my reflection. Lifting an eyebrow, I turned and grabbed my pink lips telephone. Beep Beep Beep Boop Beep riiiiiiiing! I dialed Victoria "Bueno?" 'Victoria asked faking a spanish accent
"Victoria.... why am I dying my hair black? I don't want to be some typical vanpire."
"Thanks for the hello.... We're dying it black because we're not typical vampires, hint hint everyone in school has orange hair. Plus, we need to start our own trends."
"Hm... Dark Nights is the color ehh? Kind of describes my day since I found out Toryan was a vamp-stabbing-trader!"
"Seriously, get over him Scarlet, yes he's a trader but who the hell cares? Same with Harry. Ugh, to think I actually talk to that hairy mutt."
"Who? Harry or Toryan?"I picking up the die box and reading the back
"Harry! He was all, 'Oh Victoria! I'm so sorry! I couldn't controll what they would make me do! Im so sorry!' Shut up Harry!"
I raised my eyebrow at the thing I just heard on the phone the laughed a little. "Victoria, you like Harry?" I heard a pause from the noise she was making in the background. I laughed at the silence she made. "Shut up! Don't laugh, you're the one that made me like him, Toryan wanted to hang with you which made me want to hang with Harry and me and him met up and ended up hanging out in the park and I kissed him and I don't know."
I laughed at her rambeling. As I dyed my hair and styled it into a ponytail. Just then I heard somthing outside my window, turning to look, I told Victoria that I heard something. I didnt know how an animal could be outside my window on my balcony if I was on the second floor, it was almost impossible. I turned back to the phone and began talking. I heard a knock on my balcony's glass door. When I turned I saw two bright yellow eyes staring at me. I screamed as I saw a finger go over its mouth in a 'be quiet' positon. My heart raced and I almost stopped breathing as the hairy beast attempted to open the door. I pushed myself against the wall unable to move since, I was paralyzed by fear. i realized that the door was locked and I was relived a little. The animal started to morph in to what looked like a human form pulling at the door. I looked closer and it was Toryan! I groaned and walked back to my bed and sat down as he struggled to get in. Yawning, I put the phone back to my ear and started to tell Victoria what happened. Before I could get to the eyes part I heard the door slide open and he took the phone. "Give me my phone!" I said bouncing up. He hung up my phone call and stuck it in his pocket. I turned my head swinging my long and now black ponytail. I sat on my bed and grabbed a book. Opening the book, I pretended to ignore him. "Why are you even mad at me? I didn't do anything, you new I was already in a relationship." He said. I laughed in disbelief and kept reading.
"I'm sorry Scarlet, just please, stop ignoring my texts, phonecalls and visits and most importantly me standing here talking to you." He said taking the book from me. I could hear Victoria blowing up my phone and I knew that if I didn't answer soon she would be over here. I stood up "What do you want from me Toryan? Huh? You made it clear how you felt! I've been living here for months and I never knew you had a girlfriend. When were you going to tell me so I didn't waste my feelings on some werewolf that would back stab me in the end?" I put my hands on my hips and tapped my foot awaiting an answer. He looked at the ground with sorrow written all across his face. "You think you waisted your feelings?" He asked. "Yeah." I shrugged my shoulders "Say no more." He said turning and opening the balcony door. "Wait!" I said screaming after him. "What?" He asked ."You have my phone." He handed me my phone and began climbing over the edge. "Wait!" i sighed. He looked at me. I touched his face softly and kissed him. He began climbing back up the balcony with our lips still locking. He pushed his way back into my room. We flopped on my bed with not a single part of our lips leaving the others. I smiled ward warmly, he held me close to his warm body. At that moment I realized again that he still was in a relationship. I fought my urge to stay in his arms as I sat up and shook my head. "No, this is not right..." Toryan looked at me and raised his eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" I shook my head again then turned and stared in his big brown eyes. I quickly turned and looked at the floor to hold back tears. "I can't keep kissing you or take your so called "affetion" for me when you're with Jannah! No, as much as I dislike her it's still wrong!" He squinted his eyes then looked down. "I understand, I do . I'll go if you like." Just then Scarlet was about to respond as someone burst through the door. "Scarlet!" Victoria screamed. Toryan looked at Victoria with wild eyes and hopped from the bed. "Victoria! I'm so glad you're here." I hopped up and ran to her side. She hissed at Toryan as he jumped from the room, off the balcony and into the woods. I sighed and turned back to Victoria.
