All It Took Was Their Obliviousness.

A Tearful Goodbye... OH! Hello there Error, My Buddy Chum Pal Friendo!

Dream was throwing things all around. His clothes, his toothbrush, a death scythe, all the normal stuff. He picked up a hair brush, stared at it, before throwing it too.

He finally found what he was looking for. His backpack, it was golden yellow with white designs of spirals and a big sun symbol on the front. Blue had given it to him for Christmas the year prior. Speaking of Blue, he should pay him a visit before he goes on the run.

He quickly picked up some articles of clothing, some food, a book on AU's that he might have taken from Ink, some medical things, a notebook, a picture, and some other not really important things. He also grabbed a dagger, just to be safe, and put it in his left boot.

He grabbed a black cloak to cover himself, he hoped that it would somehow keep him hidden. Before he left, he knew he would have to make sure Ink was occupied with doing things. So he went to Ink's room and peeked around the corner.

Ink wasn't there, so he checked the whole house and he came to the conclusion that Ink might be checking on the AU's. If he was, he had plenty of time to leave and hide before Ink came back. So that's what he did.

He grabbed his backpack, put his cloak on and adjusted it, made sure he didn't miss anything, and then made a portal. Before leaving, he would tell his friends goodbye and hide in OuterTale for a short while. Then he would, go AU to AU to hide and more. He was going to OuterTale in hopes that Outer!Sans could help them. He had sorta became a counselor to AU's, many people went to him/his AU. So Dream was hopping that he could help him with updates on people who would search for him and to hide in plain sight for a bit.

He quickly teleported away, and appeared in Sci's lab. Sci, who wasn't expecting the sudden visit, didn't notice him at first. Dream decided to give him a surprise hug, and he basically jumped out of his bones. "Dream! You scared me! Not that I don't appreciate the sudden visit, what are you doing here? I'm pretty sure Ink would have already found you" Sci asked, he was confused yet happy to see his friend.

Dream just smiled sadly "I'm leaving. I'm so sorry, but Ink is trying to lock me in the house and I wouldn't be able to visit you or anyone else! I can't be living with him anymore, I just can't! I'll try to visit you as much as I can but... it might be awhile..." Dream started to hesitate and trail off, looking for anything negative in the others aura.

Sci was shocked that Ink would do that, he was well aware of Ink's motives and such but to lock up Dream? That was new. Sci nodded understandably, and told Dream to wait a minute before leaving. He retired shortly after with a bracelet and gave it to Dream. Seeing Dream's confusion, he quickly explained.

"This is a prototype that I have been working on for a while, but I know it works. The question is, is I don't know how long it can be used for. So only use it in emergencies. This bracelet will help you hide or increase your aura, so it should make you running from Ink or even Nightmare be much easier."

Dream was shocked, but excited. He quickly put it in his pocket. He thanked Sci profusely, and they talked and said goodbye about 15 minutes later. Dream was trying to hurry as much as he could so he could be as much prepared as he could. He said goodbye one last time and teleported to LustTale.

It took him about 15 minutes to find Lust and get him somewhere to talk privately seeing as Lust was in Grillby's bar. Lust had to make an excuse and go home quickly to talk to Dream, when he finally got to his room, Dream was already there. Lust and Dream hugged and Dream explained everything that was going on. Lust was pretty angry, understandable, but he was also sad so see his only friend go.

Lust wasn't very liked by other AU's, they all labeled him as a slut or even a rapiest. Lust may like to have sex, but he is NOT a rapiest. He has morals, if someone says no, he respects their decision and complies. Of course, not everyone in his AU is like this but that's a story for another day.

Lust said that he would do everything he could to help. Lust had also said that he would miss him dearly, but would wait as long as it would take to see Dream again. They had a tearful goodbye, and Dream left shortly after that.

Dream had almost forgotten to visit Blue before going to OuterTale, so he quickly went there after visiting Lust. Went he arrived at his friend's home, he quickly knocked on the door, hoping that either Stretch or Blue would open the door. To his luck, Blue opened the door.

"Dream?!? It's been so long! Come in!" Blue excitedly said, happy to see his best friend. They hadn't seen each other in about a month, they both had busy lives. Not to mention, Ink was suspicious of Blue because he and Error were friends. Dream couldn't care less though, Blue was his friend and while him and Error aren't exactly friends, they both cared for Blue.

Dream smiled and entered the home. Even though the home was in Snowdin, the home always felt warm with love. Not L.O.V.E but the more of I feel safe here love. When Dream entered, Blue tackle hugged him from behind, knocking them both to the floor. They both giggled and laughed, even Stretch chuckled from where he was sitting. Of course, he was on the couch in the living room, so he saw everything.

Like what Dream did with Lust and Sci, he quickly explained what was going on. Slowly as his explanation progressed, he could feel their aura go down along with their faces. Dream quickly assured them that he had a plan, and that he would be ok. Blue and Stretch looked conflicted, before saying he should at least eat before he goes. Dream agreed and Blue went to make his famous tacos, he also was going to call Alphy to tell her he wasn't going to training today.

Dream sat on the couch, and him and Stretch talked about random things. "Ya know, I never really did like the Ink guy. He always ticked me as a fellow who would do anything for himself and not others" Stretch said. "Well... he does stuff for the AUs?" Dream offered nervously, his smile matching his statement. Stretch just patter his head in response before going to check on his brother. When the tacos were done, they all ate. When they were all full, they knew it was time for Dream to leave.

Dream, Blue, and Stretch said their goodbyes. Blue ran to hug him on last time before he left, and Dream let him. Stretch soon joined in, for he had a soft spot for Dream. Blue's grip tightened when he knew it was time, his aura was heavy with worry. Dream hugged him tighter, putting all of his reassurance in it, and it seem to have mostly worked. When they all stopped hugging, Dream waved one last goodbye and teleported away. Only to appear in OuterTale a bit of time later.

Now this... is was the difficult part. He had find Outer, and hopefully he was alone. Otherwise he would have to wait until he was so they could talk.

OH! But today, Lady Luck seemed to not be his friend! After looking for Outer for what seemed like 20 minutes, he found him... with Error. Error, who was unofficially on Nightmare's team. He's also a destroyer of AU's, so that the cherry on top.

Not only did he find Outer, Error seem to have found him too. Error said goodbye to Outer and headed in his direction, and that's when Dream knew he was in trouble. He quickly made a run for it and headed into the woods, trying to lose him so he could teleport away. But Lady Luck still wasn't on his side as he was picked up by blue magical strings behind him, and was now hanging from the branches of the woods around him.

He struggled even when he knew it was futile. Not even a minute later, he was face to face to the destroyer. They started at each other, and Dream was sweating. He didn't know what to do, and he hadn't even been on the run for a day yet and he was already caught.

As he was thinking and struggling, the destroyed just stared at him. Silently patting himself on the back for catching Nightmare's brother, he chuckled. "FoUnD yA."  "Uh oh..." Dream thought. Then, of course, the cliche everything went black happened.

Hm, I have can to a conclusion that somethings are needed to be explained. For instance, Dream's relationship with Lust and Sci, for I know that is rather rare for them to be as close of friends as I have made them. So if you guys want some one shots on that, let me know and I'll do them. Also maybe more explanation of Dream's and Ink's relationship too?
