I step back and look at myself in the mirror, looking very festive for the game. They said there was a storm coming so I decided to bundle up a bit. Wearing a black coat opened over my Slytherin sweater and my scarf wrapped around my neck. I hurry down the stairs, through the halls, and up to the Quidditch stands. I find an empty seat on a bench in the front row. I sit down and fiddle with my fingers, nervous about the game with the possible storm coming. The crowds go from a muffled hum of talking to roaring and cheering when the two teams step out onto the field below. Madame Hooch blows her whistle and the game begins. I watch as the players from both teams fly around on their brooms trying to score points. I spot Draco amongst the players and keep my eye on him. He sees the snitch and zooms around trying to catch it. Rain starts to pour down as a bludger comes out of no where, hitting the back of Draco's broom breaking some pieces of it off. He wobbles on his broom, unable to gain balance before it comes back around again hitting the front of his broom and catching his wrist. I see him pull his arm to his chest in pain. His broom starts to fall forward from the impact and he slides off before he can get his balance back. I gasp and stand up, panicking about not being able to do anything. He grabs onto the broom with his good hand, but can't hold on for long due to the rain. He starts to fall towards the ground. "Someone do something!" I scream, tears brimming in my eyes. I push past other students in the row I'm in to get to the stairs that lead down to the field. My head is spinning as I quickly run down the stairs, tears rolling down my cheeks and blurring my eye sight. By the time I get down there, the game has been stopped and there's a crowd forming around Draco on the ground. "Move out of my way!" I yell, pushing past people. "You can't be out here!" I hear Blaise yell at me. "I don't care, I need to get to Draco!" I spit back, as I keep pushing through. I get to the middle of the circle and run to his side, dropping to my knees. "Draco." I say, shakily as tears stream down my face. I grab his good hand right and hold it in my lap. "Draco pl-please wake u-up." I struggle to say. Pomfrey emerges from the crowd of people, calling orders to those around. "Miss Scamander, you're going to need to let go of him. We need to get him to the hospital wing." Pomfrey tells me and I listen. I let go of his hand and stand up, following as they take him to the hospital wing. "You will need to wait outside Miss Scamander." Pomfrey tells me as we get closer. "But I-" I begin to say. "Wait here, I will come and get you when you can come in." She says in a strict tone. Tears start rolling down my face. I lean my back against the wall outside the hospital wing doors and slide down to the floor, bringing my knees up to my chest and holding them. I lean my head down on my knees as I cry harder, scared for what has happened to Draco. It feels like hours have gone by, my body going numb on the cold stone floor. I look at my watch and it's only been half an hour. I burry my face back into my knees. "Kaylee? Bloody hell, what are you doing on the ground?" I hear Ron say, I look up and see him quickly walking towards him. "They won't let me in to see Draco." I say, blinking my eyes and tears falling down my face. "You really care about him don't you?" He asks, sitting down next to me and pulling me close to hold me while I cry. "I know you don't get along, but I do care about him Ron." I say, muffled by his thick sweater. I hear the doors open, my head shoots up and I see Pomfrey come out. "You can see him now." She says, holding the door open for me. I quickly get up off the floor and rush into the room and sit on a chair next to his bed. I grab hold of his hand that wasn't hurt and rub my thumb across it. I look at him, his left wrist wrapped up, some bruising on his face, with some cuts here and there. He's still sleeping so I don't try to wake him, I lean forward my elbows resting on my legs staring at my hand holding his. As I sit there with him the room grows darker and darker as the sun goes down, but I refuse to leave his side. "Kaylee?" I hear Draco say quietly, his voice is scratchy. My head shoots up and my eyes fill with tears again as I see him laying there looking at me with his mesmerizing eyes. "Oh my god, Draco. I'm so glad you're ok. I was so afraid I had lost you when I saw your limp body on the field." I say, tears rolling down my face. "You- you were on the field? Only the players are allowed on there, you know that." He says, raising his eyebrow. "I don't care. I had to be there, I couldn't just stay in the stands and watch." I say, he reaches over and wipes tears from my face. "Look at you being all soft for me." He says, teasing me. "Hey, you're the one that isn't supposed to be soft." I say laughing quietly. His hand drops from my face into my lap. "Kaylee your clothes are soaked. Did you not go change after the game?" He asks, sitting up a little. "No, I came straight here and I was waiting outside the doors until I could come in." I tell him, shrugging my shoulders. "You need to get changed, get something to eat, and get some sleep." He says, looking at me worried. "I don't want to leave you here alone though." I say, looking down at my lap. "At least go get changed out of these wet clothes." He says, pulling at my damp sweater. "Alright fine, but then I'm coming right back." I say, smiling at him. I get up from chair and head to the common room and up to my dorm. I take off my wet clothes and change into some warm, dry ones. I grab a big bag, stuff Draco's blanket in it and go back down to the common room, I look around and it's empty. I turn towards the boys dorms and go up the stairs, coming down the stairs is Goyle. "Oi! You're not allowed up here." Goyle spits at me. "Oh shove off Goyle. Which room is Draco's? I need to get him some dry clothes." I spit back. He shows me without question, I go into Draco's room and grab him a change of clothes. I stuff them into my bag and leave the common room, heading for the Great Hall. I go in quickly and pick up some food I can easily take with me. I wrap it up and put it in my bag. I hurry back to the hospital wing to find Draco still alone. He sits up when he sees me walking towards him. "What's with the bag?" He asks, looking confused. "Just some extras. I brought you a change of clothes too." I say smiling. "You brought me your clothes to wear?" He asks, furrowing his eyebrows together. "No of course not. I went and got your clothes." I say, shaking my head and laughing as I pull them from the bag, setting them on the bed. "How'd you manage to get my clothes?" He asks looking over at me. "I went up to the boys' dorms and made Goyle show me your room when he told me off for going up to the dorms." I say, shrugging my shoulders. "You're just breaking all the rules today aren't you?" He says laughing. "Do you need help getting changed? Or can you manage?" I ask, moving the clothes closer to him as he sits up with his legs hanging off the side of the bed. "Oh I see, trying to see me naked already are we?" He asks teasingly. "Oh shut up. I'm only trying to help you since you had to go and get yourself injured." I say, sticking my tongue out at him. "I should be able to manage on my own." He says laughing. I turn around and wait for him to get changed and then I sit down on the chair next to his bed as he settles back down. "I also grabbed us some of these mini pies from the Great Hall. Oh and I brought your blanket I still had from the other night." I say, pulling the remainder of the items out of my bag. "You really thought of everything." He says, smiling over at me. I grab one of the pies to eat and he does the same. "I really am glad you're okay." I say, looking over at him. "You care about me too much." He says, laughing a little. "There's no such thing as caring about someone too much." I say, giving him a small smile. He finishes his pie and grabs his blanket I brought back. He unfolds it and lays it over him, he lifts one side up and looks over at me. "Come here." He says, motioning me to lay down next to him. He scoots over a little as I settle into the bed next to him, laying on my side facing him. I drape my arm across him as he pulls the blanket over us and holds me close. I lay my head on my chest, being careful not to hurt him. "I don't think you'll be allowed to stay all night." He says, looking down at me. I move my head up to look at him. "Do you think I care about breaking more rules?" I say, laughing quietly. "Plus it's late everyone has gone to bed, even Pomfrey." I say settling my head back onto him. He leans down and kisses the top of my head. "Goodnight Kaylee." He whispers to me. "Goodnight Draco." I whisper back and we both slowly drift off to sleep.
