Y/N's P.O.VIt had only took one glance before my world came crashing down. My being paused.. Glued onto the boards of the stage, as I feel everything I've worked towards come crashing down in an instant, into one devastating bleak pit. There he was, eyes locked. Messy hair, bloodshot eyes as I read him like an open book. The presenter returns onto the stage motioning for my departure. I glance one last time to the audience and proceed to walk off stage. Feeling his intense gaze, I turn back one last time, to make amends with the fact, that our relationship is just as gone as Y/N.
Flashback
Light faint footsteps lead towards the old stench confinement. As a natural instinct you bulge your eyes open. Rubbing your vision, you seat yourself upwards, grunting in agony. You attempt to correlate the blurry image of a female who stood in front of you, besides the entrance of the space. Blinking several times continuously, the form becomes clear. You observe her soft and delicate features, as she plants a warm and welcoming smile whilst grasping tightly onto her clipboard. As my breathing steadies she begins to speak. "Y/N you have a visitor". Heavy footsteps begin to develop their way towards the entrance behind the nurse. "Hotch?". You gasp.
"Y/N". Hotch pronounced with gratitude as he walks beside you, taking a seat next to the hospital bed.
"Y/N please, just call me Aaron."
"Oh, ok, Aaron?" I voice in confusion.
"Y/N, it truly is a miracle, I'm truly glad you're well". Hotch emphasises gratefully.
"I saw him.." Your mood shifts, as fear encapsulates the empty, and aged confinement.
"Y/N. I think you need to understand the seriousness of the case." Hotch's tone transitions firmly.
"Y/N, only two minutes ago.. you were.. revived.
"Revived? As in I w-wa"
"My deepest condolences. You were never meant to get.. hurt" Hotch gazes down towards the cool tiles.
"T-They found me again".. The two of you indulge in the silence, comforting each other in the empty silence.
"How are you feeling?" Hotch interrupts.
"Sore, hurt, empty. Can you bring Spence in?"
"My deepest condolences, but it's best if he doesn't know.."
"Doesn't know what? That I'm-"
"The implications of this case... are far worse than I have imagined. Y/N you will not be leaving this hospital as Y/N. As far as I'm aware... Y/N is now gone.Present time
Spencer's P.O.V
The trip home was quiet, and fragile... Derek nor I made contact with anyone. The team had seemed to shrug it off, assuming we were simply just hungover. To tell you the truth, the only thought that coursed through our brains is the fact that a very particular member of our team has been under our nose the entire time. I grab out a notepad from my desk draw, a pen from my stationary draw, and begin to release my thoughts, that is until JJ walks over. "Everything alright?". I just stare blankly nodding in her direction. She eyes me suspiciously. " Spence, you've been awfully quiet, did something happen? " I see from my peripheral Derek shift himself towards me. Feeling his gaze pierce through, slightly intimidating me. "Just a little tired from last night" I lied. I give her a small tight smile. "Excuse me" I whisper and walk myself to the restroom. Entering the space I glance over to my reflection. Dark bags under my eyes, hair unkept, and my pale complexion. God I truly did look like the definition of shit. As I begin to splash cold, and soothing water onto my face, the flashbacks begin to form.
You're sweating, are you all right?" I whisper to her.
"I thinks it's the spoilt milk from today's coffee" she whispers back.Sweat forming at her temples. She rests her head on my shoulder, and grabs hold of my bicep, her firm grip leaving a mark. You gaze towards Y/N, she turns to you as she feels your gaze . "I'm fine Spencer, I know I am, trust me".
