Spencers P.O.V

"Hotch we have a problem". Those words encapsulating fear in the confinement as everyone's gaze urgently travels to Penelope.Penelope takes a deep breath. "The murders have all been linked to the infamous gang" she whispers cautiously to Hotch "The Gentlemen".You gaze your focus in confusion back on to Hotch, leaving you to witness a completely distressed man. Eyes bulging wide open with furrowed brows as
every ounce of colour drains from his sculpted face. Hotch sits in deep contemplation for a moment before I break the silence.
"Who's the Gentlemen?" I question in confusion.
"Notorious gang in Texas. Notorious for selling women. We've been trying to get a hold of them for the last year. Failed miserably each time. There are five highly exceptional members to my understanding. All five specialise in their own field. Combine them together and you have a powerful team of men. Thank you Garcia for notifying me, due to personal matters I cannot have the team work on this case. ,I think I'll hand this case over." Penelope smiles and exits the confinement.
"Hotch, what does the personal matter entail ? Emily intrudes "we're a team Hotch. We work together. We have one another's back. That's how it works. It's nothing we all can't handle."
"We have an agent working on the inside Prentiss.. that's all I can say for now."
The room transcends to silence.
"Hotch, as of someone with an IQ of 187"...
"Here he goes again" You hear Derek whisper to Emily.
"You need a group of professionals like us to assist you, we can all definitely be at service. You've said it yourself, you've been at this case for a year,I'm sure you can accept an extra pair of hands. We all specialise in different field, which can be incredibly beneficial for this case."
"Team, there are secrets involved... secrets that break a deep level of trust. Whatever is the latter, I need you to not allow your emotions to get in the way. That's a promise you're making heading into this case."
The team nod in reference to Hotch.
"This case reaches personal matters, and when the time comes, just know that I'm sorry that you had to find out this way".
"Ok Hotch you're concerning me at the moment" Emily states.
"I'll take you guys through the gang members".
"Who is he- t-the undercover agent?" I immediately question. Sorry curiosity kills the cat. Assuming he's a guy. Right?Hence working with the gang gentlemen.
"I believe you mean she. She has been gathering up information for around a year. Thanks to her we can finally identify the gang members. Team, entering this case requires a tremendous level of caution. Understand this, these men are absolutely ruthless. Bitter. I need you all to have your best foot at hand."
"Sorry to intrude, but a year...may I ask why haven't we been able to catch the gang yet?". Who is this agent? A year on this case to only finally be able to identify the gang members. Wasting time and resources.I already have lost respect for her.. "I'm sorry Spencer, I've failed to mention we've nearly caught them three times, all three times without blowing the agents cover. What we had failed was finding their next move and working one step ahead of them." She couldn't even explicitly mention the accurate whereabouts of the gang members. Unbelievable. You gaze over to Derek, sneering at your question. "Now for the five members. Wyatt Kingsley, the brains of the operation. Kingleys the mastermind who conducts the entire operation, from head to toe. He is brilliantly smart, and has always been two steps ahead of us. Christopher Grayson, the technical geek of the operation. He has been fondling with the security footage, erasing necessary footage from the kidnapping at various open locations . He's been the one accessing the files on the deep web, in charge of selling the women, and now assuming selling dismantled parts as well.... Branden Charles, the muscle of the group. His position is to attack the victim. Not kill but attack them enough to knock them out. His role as well is to lure women in.Nathan Thompson, the psychopath of the group. He follows through with the exchanging, biddings, deliveries, kills and the dismantling of the bodies. He works hand in hand with Branden. And lastly Joseph Jeremiah is in full control of the gadgets. He supplies the team with the necessary tools. He doesn't play too much of a role in the gang. If we find him, we can possibly break him. My suspicion tells me Kingsleys holding something against Jeremiah, which is the only reason as to why Jeremiah is apart of The Gentlemen."
"What does the undercover agent specialise in?"JJ questions.
"She works at their pub, The Gentlemen, I have failed to mention that the gang own a pub of their very own. Very popular location for themselves. A place stocked with too many armed men to interfere without risking an agent getting hurt. The closest position the agent has been assigned is in the entertainment. She sings nightly on stage. She's earning Kingsleys trust to hopefully grow closer to the gang..." I'm disappointed that a case has needed to take this long. As time pass, that's another opportunity for the gentlemen to grab their hands on an innocent. My only wish is that Hotch would've asked us sooner to assist. Perhaps even asked a BAU member to go undercover. I know for a fact the team would've cracked this case by now thanks to the the teams exceptional expertise.. "What is the reasoning behind creating a club solely to sell women?" Emily voices.
"Wyatt Kingsley is a man of mystery. But what I am aware of that his childhood wasn't the brightest. The young man dealt with confinement. Constantly strayed away from reality. He never was taught the rights and the wrongs of the world. The reasoning behind his kills I have concluded to is based of his old lover, crush. She embodied every quality he had ever desired. Unfortunately she was not interested in the way he had wanted her to be. Kingsley developed an obsessive disorder. He wants to obtain parts of her. He wants other to obtain parts of her. Because in his eyes, she is the definition of perfect. By Kingsley selling women who represent aspects of her, each man gets to have their own piece of perfection. In his eyes, he's simply just doing good".
"It's so interesting how a man who is highly intellectual can't differentiate between what's right or wrong" Derek states jokingly. Hotch grabs his phone from his left pocket. Hotch analyses what appears to be a text message."I need to confirm with my agent team, I'll be a moment".Hotch exits the room, calling the unknown agent. Hmmm, my agent.. "So do you reckon we have met her?" Emily engages with the team.
"Better yet, do you reckon she's hot?" Morgan questions.
"I can't shake this feeling. There is something incredibly abnormal about this case team. Hotch is far too hesitant to seek out for our assistance. I figured maybe he's fearful of positioning the team towards danger. But I reckon it travels beyond. Deeper." Rossi adds.  "What does he mean by secrecy?" Emily questions, as she turns to you "What do you reckon he means Spence, considering you have the IQ of 187, you must have all the answers" Emily states jokingly.
"To be honest.. I couldn't tell you. I myself have no clue. Although I am quite suspicious, he referred to the unknown agent as my agent... my agent as in someone on this team?"
"Hotch seems incredibly reluctant to invite us in on the case in the first place, so I highly doubt it is a member of the BAU. He's probably referring to an agent in another department"JJ replies. "Why couldn't Hotch ask one of us to go undercover? He trusts us right?I question.
"Perhaps he doesn't want us to end up..like....her" Rossi communicates to the team, only to realise that he shouldn't have mentioned...her. There was a moment of silence as everyone's gaze lowered, away from one another. The sensation of normality begins to submerge. "Sorry. That was a little insensitive of me... Didn't know it still would hit this hard. "What I am meant to say is she had affected the team significantly after her loss. Hotch may not want the team to experience another loss so soon again" Rossi adds.
"I can't help to think how useless this undercover agent is." I interrupt.
"Spencer, five males against one female. Of course she's going to play it safe." Emily pauses, indulging a deep breath of air, "I think it's clear we all have our suspicions towards Hotch" Emily verbalises.
"Why didn't Hotch bring this to our attention. Sooner, earlier. It seems like he's purposefully hiding a fundamental case.." I add.
A squeak to your left engages your attention, cutting off all communication as you turn towards the door, eyeing Hotch suspiciously as he enters the room.
"We have a lead team. Grab your to go bags. Wheels up in thirty."
"Will we get to meet her, better yet, will we get to hear her sing her heart out?" Derek interrupts.
Hotch turns to Derek, with a look of guilt "Some day soon.." and walks out of the conference room, leaving the team all in a deep state of suspicion.
