1 year, 6 months later..
22nd of June.... 1 year and 6 months ago that is.... That was the last time i held her in my arms. Felt her heart beat cease, and felt her raw, cold body as i had brought her into my embrace. 1 year and 6 months ago.... I had attended her funeral. Watched her casket lower to the deep pits of the ground. 1 year and 6 months ago....was the day I had lost it all. You brush the thought away immediately. Everything had changed after...her... The BAU team became quiet, and distant . They all were hurting, putting on a facade as is if all was fine. It wasn't till 5 months later Morgan cracked his very first joke. The team slowly then unraveled and became close again, going out for drinks, and occasional dinners. It was a very traumatic, and unfortunate time. It had felt as if time had stopped. The concept of time hadn't existed. Everyday you were just adjusting to a new life, taking it day by day. Waking up every morning to an unbearable void, the sensation of my heart ripped from my chest, leaving my chest to consume every spec of darkness in this infinite universe. The hardest moments were hearing coworkers break down quietly to themselves. It had only shattered every fibre of my living being . Their silent cries confined in a box labelled reality. They couldn't bare to accept the idea she was gone. I couldn't accept the idea she was gone... Dilaudid become my closest friend, was almost like a partner in crime.. Dilaudid had taken the pain away. Feeling numb was a much better substitute than feeling your heart ripped from your chest, and cut into fine pieces. Numbness also became a close friend of mine. That is until JJ had found out. She was the light that shown into my life. JJs magic touch cured me. Nearly 4 months after taking Dilaudid she helped me quit. Holding me on those late nights I thought I was about to lose my sanity. As you can imagine JJ and I had gotten quite close. We decided to progress things along, where today I can finally call her my girlfriend. Y/N was the love of my life... she'd be 27 today...I had felt extremely guilty when our feelings developed ,...but I told myself this is what Y/N would have wanted for me. To have a life in this fucked up world. And so here I am today, trapped in a reality where only time can foretell the next future events...
A week after Y/N's death, we caught the male who had shot her. Rick Alto, who's currently sitting behind closed bars. He was on the run, and somehow there was leaked information that 3 agents were heading towards the lakehouse. It very much sounded like there was a mole in the midst of our walls. We never caught who sent the leaked information, but I had my suspicions. The following week we had finally caught Dominico. Put him away for good. It was a rough few weeks. But we managed as a team.. "Pretty boy you there?" Derek pulls you out of a trance. You shift your gaze towards Derek. "Hhmm, what's up?"
"Hotch has a new case for us, he's expecting us in the conference room in five". You nod before Derek walks off. You lift yourself of your seat. No one really mentions Y/N anymore. They completely avoid the whole topic, as it's a highly sensitive subject. Y/N is known as the agent who's life was cut short. Too short. She was 26 when she had passed. You walk into the conference to see Hotch setting the projector, whereas Derek, and Emily seated next to one another discussing amongst themselves. You seat yourself next to your girlfriend of 4 months. Rossi makes an appearance shortly after and plants into a seat next to Emily. "Afternoon team, pleasant seeing you here.We have been notified with a new case team. Unfortunately 6 victims, all female have been found dead Tuesday evening at hotel, Von Rosé. Time approximately between hours of 11pm-1am.Body Parts dismantled. Take a look at the bodies". Hotch flips through the presentation, changing the slide where you see all 6 victims body, all in different rooms. You engage in the discussion "It seems to me as we may be dealing with several unsubs. It's apparent that the unsub just wouldn't have enough time to cave in his victims which may I add seem to be incredibly specific. All brunette, olive skin and hazel eyes. Tall and skinny. Most likely the unsub was meeting up with women throughout the night. The unsub most likely had met the victim prior to Tuesday. Perhaps they had met the lady who fit all their requirements, arranged to meet at Von Rosé , and at the right time finished her off. What strikes me is for this operation there would've had to be atleast two unsubs. One that lures, potentially kills and the other... dismantles. It's too messy for one unsub to handle alone. I highly doubt the unsub killed their victim to then clean up right after to only repeat the process. Especially within a three hour period. To dismantle the body parts take time. As you can see there is a level of precision. Looking at the photos established the unsub carefully cuts where the joints are". I state confidently.
"Why would some one go through this level of effort to leave a dismantled body? What is the soul purpose ?" Emily engages.
"Perhaps the unsub had the intention of obtaining the parts?or perhaps just hadn't had the time to collect the body parts?Maybe it's even the unsubs signature?." Morgan inquires.
"Well it's absolutely clear now that we're dealing with a psychopath. A psychopath who is fixated on a specific type. The unsub probably has attached himself to a woman who's held deep significance in his life. Maybe the unsubs even associated her physical appearance to represent the definition of true perfection .. where the unsub expects all women who share similar physical qualities of her must then embody and be associated by the same actions of hers".Emily states.
"But then why would the unsub dismantle the bodies?" JJ interrupts
"A way to channel his anger towards her?Potentially may be an ex partner considering these women all appear to be in their 20's." Emily replies.
"Unsub could be selling body parts," I announce abruptly.
"I'll have Garcia track to see if the appropriate body parts are on the black market match the victims. I have a few ideas where our unsub could be selling organs illegally.
"It makes sense actually when you think about it, one can earn quite a lot of money just by selling vital organs.Kidneys can be ranging up to two hundred and sixty two thousand dollars whereas livers approximately five hundred and fifty seven thousand dollars here in the U.S.
"I have a feeling there's much more to the unsubs letting on team."Hotch interrupts the group discussion, leaving the team with too many unanswered questions.
Penelope struts abruptly into the room, all heads turned to see a concerned Penelope.
"Hotch we have a problem".
