Samantha was finally able to open her eyes. looking around, she only saw some vague figures. Everything was a blur and her headache wasn't really helping. She only knew this was her bedroom because of the music posters hanging on the wall. It took a second to remember what happened. As she remembered, she hoped Harry wouldn't take everything to his heart. it wasn't his fault. Hearing stuff being thrown downstairs, Samantha decided to get up and investigate what was going on. She was still dizzy and walking straight was really hard.
Going to the stairs went quite well but the stairs will be more of a problem. After finally getting off the stairs Samantha walked, with help of the walls, to the kitchen only to find a really upset Harry. "Hey" She said quietly. Harry turned around at the sound of her soft voice.
"Oh my, are you alright? I'm so, so sorry. I seriously thought I lost you." Harry rambled.
"Harry, calm down. I'm okay. It wasn't your fault. I agreed with it, remember? It was my idea in the first place" Samantha tried to calm him although it wasn't really working because she almost fell when she put a step forward to the kitchen table.
She knew her head wasn't okay. Her headache was killing her, but she was not planning on letting Harry know that. He would only get more worried. Samantha was too much in thoughts that she didn't feel Harry was just on time to catch her.
"You are trying to stay so strong. And I admire you for that, but you aren't okay and I can see it in your eyes." Harry said before lifting Samantha up and placing her on one of the chairs.
There were the eyes again. Eyes are probably the most personal thing. Nobody has the same eyes and all eyes say something about us.
"Don't worry about me, Harry." Samantha said to him. It's not like I am that special, she thought, okay maybe my gifts are special but I really don't feel special.
"How could I not worry about you? You are the most special and amazing person I ever met. Besides it's my fault you are hurt."
Samantha shook her head. "I'm going to say this one last time. IT... WAS...NOT...YOUR...FAULT. It was my own choice." She said to Harry, looking him straight in the eyes to let him know she wouldn't let him win.
After Harry made double check that Samantha had everything she ever wanted, which was really nice of him but a little too much in Sam's eyes, he finally settled down beside her. Samantha could sense the questions he wanted to ask.
"Okay, stop with this nervous stuff and just say whatever you want to say!". Harry looked Samantha in the eyes with a confused look, "How could you possible know I want say something?". She laughed laugh, "You just confirmed my thoughts silly boy, so spill it.".
"Silly boy huh?!" Harry joked before he turned serious again. Samantha found herself wishing she could see more of the carefree Harry. Harry continued, "I just thought about the 'letter' you got. I'm asking myself what will happen next."
"And you were thinking about that thing with my family, weren't you?" Samantha asked him. He looks away and nods timidly. Samantha chuckled at that, "don't be shy, although you're cute like that, it isn't forbidden to ask. It's just a long story. And I never told anyone before." Harry nodded in understatement before he mentioned that he definitely wasn't cute. It didn't help because Samantha still thought he was cute.
Samantha never thought she would meet someone as special as Harry. If she looked to him. If she found herself looking with the eyes of her heart, she saw a beautiful and valuable human, or vampire if that's a better thing to say. She wanted to get to know that person inside. She wanted to share his happiness and his pain. I guess he means more to me than I'll ever dare to admit, was what she thought before focused her eyes on the movie playing in front of her.
