Michael was expecting a hug, or well, maybe a little kiss on the lips. He wasn't expecting shouting and cursing, nor someone punching him in his face. And the funniest part was that, that someone, was Luke. Luke gathered the guts he needed to punch Michael, and he felt proud and good about it.The encounter wasn't very pleasent for Michael, because he had to listen Ashton's speech, Calum cursing in chinese words, and Luke saying mean things to him, looking at him as he was going to murder him at any moment.
Of course they asked him why he left. He simply answered he needed to take care of some business. Luke insisted, but Ashton told him that it was okay. They told him how the school got worried, and how they called the police to track him down. This was... surprising. Michael never thought that so many people could actually worry and care about him. It made him happy and also weak. He didn't want to be protected. And he went cold as ice.. once again.
"I don't need you, I can take care of myself. Goodbye." Luke tried to stop him but Ashton told him he had to let him go. Michael needed space.

As Ashton drove back home, he couldn't stop thinking about Michael. He tried and tried to understand him, but in the end he realized that Michael was way too complex. Ashton sensed things in people, and he sensed anger and loneliness in Michael. But well, he wasn't certain. He met Michael a couple of weeks ago. He only knew that he was incredibly arrogant, sarcastic, full of himself, and extremely good with the guitar. But there was something he knew. He knew Luke loved him, even if Luke insisted it was a small crush. He knew Luke loved him because when he went missing, Luke cried all the time, Luke prayed and he couldn't stop searching. He knew it because of the way Luke looks at him.
Ashton has no clue of what's going on between them, but he needs to help them. He needs to help Michael. And he had to figure out how.

Luke arrived, crying, ignoring the desesperate shouts of his mother. He slammed his door as loudly as possible, and crowled in his bed. He couldn't get it. He waited for weeks, searched for him, and when he found him, he just left. Without even saying ''thank you''. Was it that hard? Was it that hard to be nice, to be thankful? Was it worth it having feelings for someone who didn't even care one bit about you? The depressed blonde cried till he fell asleep.

Michael was finally at the door of his house. Everything was dark inside. Of course, his father was getting drunk. He stepped on the main entrance. There were many bills on the floor. Probably his dad wasn't paying any of those. At any moment they could lose the house. But he didn't care about that. He didn't care about anything anymore.
He dragged his keys out of his pocket and opened the door. He was right, no one was home. He threw his backpack on the floor and jogged to the kitchen. He opened the fridge. It was empty, there wasn't even a fucking beer. He sighed, lighting a cigar, to calm his hunger down.
He went upstairs, threw himself to bed, and fell asleep. There was school tomorrow, and if he skipped again, he could get expelled.

It was an tiresome morning for Calum. He had to walk to school listening to Ashton talking about Michael, like he was in love with him.
''Dude, do you have a crush on Michael or something?'' He asked, chuckling. ''I mean you can't stop talking about him!''
''It's not me who is in love with him, It's Luke'' He replied.
Then he explained his theory to Calum, who thought Ashton was right. Now they had to create a plan, to get both of them togheter, alone, so they could speak like two normal human beings.
