Waking up in the morning, Khushi felt good. All of that was due to the blissful dream she had had the previous night. It was rather romantic - very sensual, to say the least. There was no denying that Khushi craved the closure she had experienced with Arnav when they had been at the DúMont, and had unfortunately been nowhere near to that closure ever since. Yes there were several intense moments, such as the night before, but still, it wasn't enough. Only her dreams could somewhat satisfy her, though Khushi couldn't help but to admit to herself that it wasn't enough.
I'm like a little horndog, she sighed to herself.
With another sigh, she got up to start her day. When she was freshened and dressed up, she headed downstairs, finding Bhromor sitting on the couch with a bowl of soup, her nose as red as Rudolph's.
"G'morning," she said groggily.
Khushi's eyes widened. She sounds worse today.
"I know, I guess that shower didn't go the way I wanted."
Khushi arched her brow, curious if she could be implying to something else. But Bhromor only sneezed loudly, one hand fumbling with the bowl as the other shot out to grab a tissue.
"I'm so disgusting," she groaned.
Isn't that the truth, and Khushi took a big step away from her.
"I dont blame you," she chuckled, though it sounded more like a croak.
I wonder if her man is coming again? Hopefully he's a good guy and will take care of her, snot and all.
Khushi blew her a kiss, Bhromor blowing one back, though Khushi dodged it.
"Khushi," she croaked.
With a mischievous grin, Khushi left to the Raizada household. She found her fellow coworkers already in the kitchen, some helping to set up the dining room. Khushi helped them out as well, then helped bring in breakfast, the family starting to pour in.
Khushi wasn't the least bit surprised to see Arnav scowling at her as soon as he stepped in. But she chose to ignore him, not that he was doing the same thing.
"Are you okay, Chote," Amoli asked.
Arnav snapped out of his thoughts and looked at his mother. "I'm fine."
"You sure? You-"
Suddenly Anjali started shrieking, bringing everyone's attention to her. While in one hand her toast was swinging, in the other was her phone.
"Shyam is going to be on TV," she exclaimed.
"What-?"
But Anjali didn't wait for her father's words, and got up and dashed to the living room.
Avantika let out a sigh. "Isn't it amazing how you can tell she's more of my sister now," she said proudly.
With that, she got up and dashed after her sister to see what all of the hype was about.
"I wonder what's going on," Deviyani murmured.
"Let's go see," Vijay said, and the elders went after the girls.
Hmm, I wonder why-?
But her thoughts were quickly interrupted, Arnav moving before her.
"What did I say last night about you sleeping in till 10," he scowled.
Uh... exactly that?
Khushi tilted her head with frown, wondering if it were a rhetorical question.
"Khushi, it's not even-"
"Oh my gosh," they heard Anjali shriek from the living room.
"What the f-? What the hell is going on there?"
Arnav headed off into the living to see what the commotion was all about.
At least I avoided that lecture, Khushi grinned to herself. I better get everyone's tea; this way they can watch Jeejaji on TV and have their caffeine rush.
With that idea in mind, Khushi headed off to the kitchen and got the tea ready. She gathered teacups and plates, put the tea in the teapot, and got a lot of biscuits, which she knew Deviyani would devour most of. With all the items on her tray, she headed on over to the living room.
Anjali was swaying in her sister's arms, absolutely giddy like a little girl as she held the remote over her heart. "Look at my husband, he looks so serious and official and what not in his hot lawyer stuff!"
Avantika looked at her sister proudly, seeing how her sister was behaving so much like her. "Its like looking in the mirror," she sighed.
The others rolled their eyes and looked back at the TV. Deviyani sat in a chair alone, while Amoli and Vijay sat on the couch, Arnav leaning against the armrest. Khushi was about to move forward to place the tray on the coffee table, when her eyes caught the screen, the reporter rushing before the camera.
"Kareem Vidhya Raichand has just stepped outside of the court, I repeat, Kareem Vidhya Raichand has just stepped outside of the court!"
The camera panned to the entrance of the court, many people surrounding the man in question - Kareem Vidhya Raichand. Over in the far left corner, Shyam could be seen with his team, grilling him down, not that the man nor his team cared.
"I bet he wants to punch him," Anjali growled.
"Oh, I'm sure Jij wants more than that," Arnav scoffed, his arms crossed.
Kareem and his team came walking down the steps, surrounded by reporters and cameras from other platforms. His people tried to move them out of the way to make room, when five men came stepping forward, blocking some of the cameras. Reporters shouted at them to move, but it didn't seem like Kareem cared. In fact, he looked overjoyed, throwing his arms open for the men, a grin on his face. Seeing that Kareem cared about them, the media backed away slightly, trying to get a view of them.
"I wonder which one of his crime bitches these guys are," Anjali scowled.
"Anjali," Amoli scolded.
"What," she replied innocently.
Avantika pursed her lips together. "We are definitely related!"
Khushi snapped back to reality and shook her head with a roll of her eyes, then went to step forward to place the tray on the coffee table.
The cameramen moved around, trying to get a good shot, and this one was able to.
"Who the hell are they," Avantika frowned.
Khushi's eyes moved back to the screen and she instantly stilled. Her eyes widened as her body froze, as if she had been shot with ice. Her mind blanked out everything else, only playing horrific memories - memories she had suppressed, trying oh so hard to forget. But it all came raging forward, as if a dam had been broken, all of it gushing out.
There had been a lot of screaming coming from the TV, everyone trying know from Kareem who the men were. Another loud scream joined in, bringing all of the Raizadas attention away from the screen, to Khushi, watching her tray fall out of her hands and everything dropping to the floor, smashing into pieces. Tea spread all across the floor, Khushi collapsing down and joining it.
The last thing Khushi had heard or seen was Arnav screaming her name and running to her side, before everything muted and faded to black.
