Lunchtime came rolling in, and Amoli told her son to get something to eat.

"I'm not hungry," Arnav murmured, shaking his head.

"You didn't even eat breakfast properly this morning," she said softly.

"Neither did you."

Amoli let out a sigh. "None of us did, really."

She looked over at her son; ever since she had stepped into the room, not once did Arnav let go of Khushi's hand. Even now he held onto it, stroking it lightly with his thumb.

"You don't want to leave her side," Amoli finally said.

Arnav shook his head with a small sigh. "No; I want to be here in case she wakes up."

She couldn't help but to lightly smile, and went over to his side. Squeezing his shoulder lightly, she placed a kiss atop his head.

"I'll try to get something for you then," she smiled softly. "I'll also make a call home to get someone to bring you a change of clothes since yours is still stained with tea," and she left the room.

Arnav turned his attention back to Khushi. She still hadn't moved a bit, which really concerned him. Taking their joined hands, he placed his cheek against the back of her hand and shut his eyes.

"Please wake up, baby," he murmured softly. "I need you."

Arnav stayed that way for a moment, trying to find peace. But he knew all too well that he wouldn't have any until Khushi actually awoke.

The sound of a small grunt filled his ears. Arnav's eyes instantly popped open and he looked at Khushi. Her brows were slightly furrowed, concerning him.

"Khushi?"

Khushi turned her head slightly, trying to figure out where the echoing of her name was coming from. She felt slightly heavy and disoriented. She moved her head slowly, trying to come out of the grogginess that she felt and figure out where she was. Slowly peeling her eyes open, Khushi felt slightly attacked by the lights. But she tried slowly to adjust in order to figure out her surroundings.

"Khushi, it's okay, you're in the hospital," she heard.

Hospital?

Turning over to the sound of the voice, Khushi slowly became aware of who was next to her, her vision slowly clearing to reveal Arnav.

Arnav.

A small, weak smile took over her lips as she shut her eyes, still not fully used to the lights.

"You're okay," Arnav breathed.

He quickly reached out and hugged her, unable to help himself.

"You're okay," he repeated, but it sounded more as if he were reassuring himself.

Placing a kiss on the top of her head, Arnav pulled back and sat back down, once again taking hold of her hand. "How are you feeling?"

Khushi gave a small nod, looking at him for a moment before shutting her eyes once more.

These lights hurt!

"Take your time," Arnav said softly, seeing the way Khushi was clenching her eyes shut. "I'll go get the doctor, okay? Be right back."

Khushi nodded and Arnav dashed off to quickly find the doctor so he could return to her quickly. Feeling the grogginess slowly come out of her, Khushi slowly lifted herself up to sit up. Seconds later, Arnav returned with the doctor and he quickly went to Khushi's side, fixing her pillow.
