DEAD-END IN SHELDON MURDER INVESTIGATION, UNLIKLEY ALLIANCE FORMING

Mr. Harrison Jeffries, in a statement last Monday, hinted at a possible allied tasked force between the IDA and NIF intelligence agencies in the investigation into the murder of the late Mr. Tobias Sheldon  that began two months ago and also stated the NIF's intention to postpone the JSSA elections for another month.

The alliance, he said, has been called the ATT, the allied task team between the IDA, NIF and EII agencies, who have agreed to cooperate.

When asked if the reason for this sudden alliance was due to issues with the progress of the mission, Jeffries refused to comment.

Due to this new development in the case, both agencies have decided to postpone the upcoming JSAA head elections until March 1, where Mr. Jeffries and Mr. Raymond Patterson are said to battle for the top spot.

The reason this alliance is so unlikely, according to analyst Rob Hall, is that the two agencies have participated in a constant contest for results critics dub the "Intelligence race", at which he claims, "Nobody is winning".

When asked why he felt this was the case, he responded;

"Truthfully, I feel as if this alliance is a distraction from the true situation at hand. Both parties have reaches dead-ends. They have nothing to share, and both sides are trying to buy time to be able to take credit in the discovery of the criminals involved."

"Thus" he stresses. "We as the public cannot forget the scandal we're facing at hand. Our security forces are struggling as we speak, postponing an election until one of them can win, and can use that award as reason for their delegate to win the election,"

When asked which of the candidates he prefers to take the job, Hall refused to comment.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Mr. Patterson confirmed Mr. Jeffries's statement regarding the coalition, saying

"We as the IDA are prepared to collaborate with these efforts, and are currently sending our best agents out to investigate this case, as well as the several others the IDA are engaged with,"

He rubbished the comments made by Mr. Hall, claiming, "The IDA has never been in more control of the case then we are now,"

This Tuesday, the Sheldon family spokesperson made a statement regarding the postponement of the election and the alliance.

"We are in support of the action taken by both agencies," he said. "We agree that Mr. Sheldon would have preferred for justice to be served before the election of his replacement. We offer our support and cooperation as the family to both agencies and we would hope that the culprits can be discovered before the election takes place, so that the family can receive closure and so that the man himself can truly rest in peace,"
