Natalia
The next day
"Hey, Natalia," Camilla said, smiling, as she opened the door to her room.
"Hi Camilla," I said, walking in to the room. Gia was already sitting on a couch, a cup in her hands.
"We haven't seen you in a while," Gia said, concerned.
"Yeah," I said, sighing. "Things have been really busy the past few days,"
"We heard," she replied.
"Jarred told me that he told you about what happened?"
They both nodded.
"Okay, good. I have more to tell you,"
"Is this about the trip the two of you had?" Camilla asked.
I nodded.
"I suggest you sit down, Camilla," I said. "The news I'm about to share with you is extremely important and is classified information,"
"Thank goodness we found the bugs then, right?" Gia said.
"There are bugs?" I asked.
"Well, in our room we've found four listening devices when we searched through the place. We have told Mark and Jarred to check theirs and they found the same thing. I have a feeling it is because the NIF are spying on the IDA and us. I don't think you and Marcus will have a problem, though, as NIF agents,"
I paused, considering this, and took a seat.
Camilla turned to close the door behind her and joined Camilla on the couch.
"So..." I said. "Mr. Sheldon isn't dead,"
"What? You're kidding, right?" Gia began.
"This is a joke," Camilla said, shaking her head.
After a few moments, the both of them registered that I was being serious.
"But, how?" they asked.
I explained to them the plan Mr. Sheldon had put in place to fake his death.
"But we interviewed his family! I interviewed his wife, and I swear she had no idea..." Gia began.
"And she still doesn't know now," I continued.
"Well, that's something to think about," Camilla noted, taking a sip from her mug.
"Would you like something to drink, Natalia?" Gia asked.
I shook my head.
"I actually need to ask the two of you for a favor," I began.
"We'll do anything you need," Camilla said.
"So, one of the tasks I have to complete is to source evidence that the NIF is planning to wrongfully accuse Jarred and Mark for the murder of Mr. Sheldon. I spoke to him yesterday and he has agreed to meet me tomorrow, as long as it's in the evening, and with some "friends" I shuddered.
"What a bastard that man is," Gia snarled.
"Are we the friends?" Camilla asked.
I nodded. "If you want to,"
They both nodded.
"Okay, that's great. I'm thinking that if we can intoxicate him enough we can get a solid recorded confession from him,"
"I have a better idea," Camilla said, turning to Gia.
"Remember that new drug we were shown during training? What was it called... penton?"
