jake pov:
bored out of my mind on a sunday evening, i surf on my phone in the hopes of tumbling on something interesting.
"the basics of morse code"
I wonder what that is.
I make some quick research and find a solution.
"Morse code is a method used in telecommunication to encode text characters as standardized sequences of two different signal durations, called dots and dashes or dits and dahs. Morse code is named after Samuel Morse, an inventor of the telegraph."
thanks wikipedia.

after some learning, I'm ready to start my quest:
see if someone lives on the other side of the wall next to my bed (which would be weird) and if they're intelligent (and could help me with my homework).
i start.
four short knocks, a pause, one short knock: "hi".
then, I wait.
after about five minutes of anticipation, there's a response.
four short, one short: "hi".
I have succeeded in my quest!
I think about what to respond.
but the other side responds faster than me and my two and a half braincells.
one short, two long, a pause, three short, two short and a long, a long and a short, two long and a short, four short, three long, again three long and lastly a long and a short.
that takes longer to translate, I'm glad I noted it on a peice of paper.
"I'm sunghoon"
so his name is sunghoon.
I respond with "I'm jake".
soon, he asks "how old r u".
I answer with 19, my age (I'm not a liar).
during the half-hour that we "talked", I discover that he's 19, too, and that he lives in room 128, the one next to mine (obviously).
we decide to "meet" again tomorrow at the same time.
I hope he doesn't find me weird.
he seems like a nice guy.
oh yeah, to all the readers, I'm jake.
