- so you really asked him on a date?

my friend smirks at me.

- are you sure~?

- well... if he wants it to be a date then it can be one...

- so you want it to be one?

I see jake and... jay? walking towards us.

- well won't you look at the time? I have to go meet up with my girlfriend! see ya!

- I still refuse to believe that you're straight.

- i am! he pouts.

- sure! bye!

he runs off to see his "girlfriend" whom I had never seen.

jake and jay stop a few metres from us.

- jake!

the boy immediately looks at me, a bit flustered.

jay says something to him, which makes him blush and quickly deny whatever jay said.

then, jay runs off to somewhere, leaving jay to mumble something under his breath before I walk up to him.

- so, where do you wanna go?

- oh. I umm

he hesitates, still looking dazed by what jay said.

or was it me?

does he like me?

no. stop imagining things.

- are you hungry?

- i-- no. not really.

- what about thirsty? I know a good boba place near here.

the mention of boba seems to have woken him.

- boba? sure!

- you like boba?

- I love boba!

- me too!

we smile at the new shared interest.

- let's get boba then? I ask.

- yeah. boba it is.

- okay. it's two bus stops away.

- 'kay.

we walk to the bus stop in a comfortable silence, making some small talk once in a while.
