The time on your clock read 9:30pm.
You were curled up on the floor of your room, rain had suddenly struck from above, adding a gentle pitter-patter to what would normally be white noise. The glow of your lamp illuminated the scattered sheets of history homework along your floor. For a while now, you have been pushing yourself to rush through your work. Despite your hardships, you desperately wanted to remain somewhat capable. Yet, the work seemed to drag the time, damming you to what seemed like a night of eternal restlessness. You pondered the idea of simply talking with your teacher tomorrow, yet the idea caused you to shudder. You didn't want to dig yourself a hole, especially when you were finally catching up with your work. "9:30 isn't too late" you thought to yourself, picking up your phone to see if anyone was active online. Strangely enough, nobody from your history class seemed to be following you back on your socials. You contemplated about what you could do, scavenging google for answers or even trying to find direct answers in your textbook. The time continued to drag, and you became completely impatient. Despite knowing Korekiyo for a while, you never thought of taking him up on his multiple offers to help you. You were unsure about weather or not he had a cellphone, so it wouldn't be possible to call him. You did know where his room was settled amongst all the other dorms in Hopes Peak. You immediately pull out your school bag, stuffing all your books and notes into it. It would be much easier to walk over to his room and ask for help instead of sit alone and sulk. You gather your things and head out of your room, creeping among the winding labyrinth of rooms. You end up in front of Korekiyos door, giving it a light knock in case he was sleeping. Suddenly, the latch on the other side opened, allowing the door to slowly move open.
"Y/n?" Korekiyos face contorted in puzzlement at the sight of you. He was still in his uniform, so he obviously was still awake and you didn't interrupt him. You hold up your bag of work to him, allowing him to examine it.
"What is this?" He questioned.
"It's my schoolwork. I know, I know; I've never bothered to ask before but I need some help night now." You sigh, tired and in a strange sense of defeat. An awkward silence feel, and you couldn't help but feel his aloof-self watching as you stood nervously in place. "Surely I wouldn't mind helping you." He calmly responded, widening his door allowing you to step inside. "I was wondering if maybe we could do it in my room instead?" You ask nervously. It was a nice offer, but you didn't want to intrude. With that, he locked the door to his dorm and walked with you back to your room. The walk there was silent, considering most of the students must have been sleeping. Despite that, neither of you even whispered.
You had the lingering thought that you annoyed him, so you settled on making sure this ordeal was as quick as possible. Although you valued his company, you didn't want to irritate him.
"We're you planning on sleeping soon?" You ask, breaking the ice. "No, it's early." Korekiyo shook his head. Early? Most people your age went to bed early for school the next day, but for someone like Korekiyo, you wouldn't be surprised if he spent his whole night awake.
——
The two of you made it to your room, sneaking in as quietly as possible to avoid being caught by anyone else who may be roaming the halls. When he walked in, you noticed his face contorted underneath his mask. "You don't have a desk? Or a table? Then where do you expect us to work?"
What you never ended up telling him was that you simply had a coffee table and nothing more, due to how much you did your work on your bed. Of course you weren't going to invite him into your bed though, so you directed him over to a spot by your window, where you typically sit to do your homework. You spread out your books on top of the coffee table that Korekiyo sat behind. "Alrighty then." You casually explain what your struggling with, to which Korekiyo responds with puzzlement.
"Y/n, it would have been more suitable if you've taken my offer on the first day we've met. It will be much harder for you to catch up now."
"I didn't know you that well! It not like I could, just, y'know, randomly invite you into my room! That's...weird!" You exclaimed, a look of embarrassment plastering your face. You never get flustered easily, but you found yourself in a bit of an uncomfortable position. You couldn't shake the feeling that Korekiyo was somewhat overtired or pissed off. You sat in silence yet again. Despite looking down, you could feel his gaze piercing you. You glance back up, meeting his eyes.
"Well then, I guess we should get to work, yes?"
"Yeah." You open your textbook and begin working.
——
About an hour has passed. Your work was much more bearable with the extra help. Having Korekiyo around was good company, and while you both worked, it seemed as if he was less tense than you initially thought. Despite your work being completed, Korekiyo still stuck around, casually pacing your room every now and then, examining anything that was in plain sight.
"Say, Y/N.. you don't have many friends, do you?"
"What? How do you know?" If there was one thing you learned about Korekiyo, it was that he said some of the strangest things, and what made them even stranger was the fact that they were accurate.
"What makes you think that?" You question aggressively.
"I could observe. You don't seem to have others in your company... well.. except for myself."
"Yeah..well..I did at one point, but I guess my old friends just lost interest." You shrug.
"Lost interest?" Korekiyo tilted his head to the side.
"Yeah, it just happens. Friends change. They meet new people. So on so forth."
"Hm. Well, you should not concern yourself with such people being in your company."
"Yeah, I should stop caring so much." You let out a sigh.
"Might I mention your interest in myself as well?" Korekiyo asked, earning a gasp from you.
"Interest as in you had openly invited me into your room, spent time with myself, and somehow we ended up as companions, yes?"
"Yeah." You nod slowly.
"Then there should be no need for other people, if they do not satisfy you or if you do not satisfy them."
You find yourself relieved. Knowing Korekiyo, this conversation could have taken many different turns, some of which could lead to things you wouldn't like to speak of.
"I guess your right." You nod in agreement. You glance over at Korekiyo who is already about to leave. Before opening up your door, he quickly glances back at you.
"To elaborate on what I said earlier about satisfaction," he began. "I like to think we satisfy each other, yes?"
You find yourself completely flustered, your cheeks flushing a bright red. "Yeah. See ya tomorrow." You mumble looking down at your hands.
At that, Korekiyo swiftly left, leaving you alone in your room once again.
No doubt about it, you definitely found yourself attracted to Kiyo.
Maybe he wasn't entirely what most people would expect to like, but you realized that your odd thoughts were only a build up of how you actually felt.

You slip into your bed, thinking over your feelings. You knew that it would be best to tell him sooner than later, as you knew that it would be horrendously painful to hold in.
Maybe the next day..
