"I'm a single mother from LA I work for a corporate office here in Miami..uh what else did you want to know?" I looked at Ice then her again, this was all so sudden and I felt like Ice knew I wouldn't want to meet her right now if he'd told me beforehand where we were going.

"Ma she a bomb ass woman" he interrupted biting his lip and taking my hand again, I tried not to blush looking between the two.

"Dame I'm glad you found somebody you could bring home to me, this the first girl you ever brung home so quickly"

"Yea I just got a good feeling' bout her" They were both looking at me waiting for me to chime in with my own comment.

"I agree, I haven't really had a real relationship your son does stuff no man in my life has ever done" I told her smiling, if anything else that was the truth, I doubted Cairo would stick around had I had a kid when I met him. He wasted my time when I didn't have a kid so whose to say how the alternate side of things would've went.

"I raised him right thats why, you seem like a nice girl Chanel next time bring your little one over so we can meet" She turned around checkinf the bread before pulling it out of the oven and spreading some butter on it.

Ice's phone rang so he decided it'e be a good idea to step out and leave the two of us there. I sat quietly thinking to myself, who knew he felt so strongly about me. I didn't know where our relationship might head but now he was reassuring that he was taking us seriously regardless of our situation.

"So tell me, whats your intentions with my son? I love him to death but one thing I hate is seeing my child hurt and I refuse to have some woman come and take him and drain him of everything he has, I know who he is in the streets but here in this house he's just Damien and the side he shows you the most is just Damien not Ice or whatever else they caught him in the streets" suddenly her tone changed and her voice went from the upbeat friendly tone to a stern and serious one.

"Ma'am I have no ill intentions towards you or Damien, I honestly am starting to love that man each time I soend time with him... the way he just accepted my son and me is something I never experienced from nobody we both wanna keep him around" I told her truthfully, I was just hoping nothing or no one came in between us because maybe this would be it for me. I wouldn't mind getting married and creating an actual family with Ice.

"Good that's all that matters to me...I just don't know what I'd do if something happened to that boy ag the cost of someone else" She shook her head pulling out some plates. I got up coming over to help her, I wanted to form a bond with her a mother's love was unmatched hell I would probably be the same with Gianni but I made a promise to myself to love Ice as much as I could. I was giving this relationship my all.

CAIRO

"I think I'm at his mama house" Kristo said whispering in the phone like anybody could hear him.

"Nigga I need you to be sure before you decide to ahoot some shit up and kill other people" I told him getting fustrated. It seemed like I always had to do shit myself or it wouldn't get done right.

"Yea thats his car but yo babymama in there and so is he you sure you wanna do this now?"

"Nah just send me the addy and I'll do that shit tonight"

Later...

It seemed like the mood had picked back up some when Ice had come back in the room. We ate and I helped his mom clean up the kitchen even when she insisted I go be with him in the den. We were actually warming up to each other and now we all sat down watching videos of when Ice was a baby and looking through his old picture books.

"I truly believe that if I didn't hold that cake infront of him he would've never started walking, thats the only way I could get him up"his mom said laughing and pointing out the pictures. She'd pointed every picture out and explained the story behind it which I loved because despite Ice bringing me here he was still a pretty private person and I knew nothing about the person he used to be.

"Aight ma we bout to get ready to head out I gotta be up early in the morning to take care of some stuff and I'm sure Chanel ain't gonna get no rest, Gi like to wake her up early" he said getting up, she stood up hugging him for a while before letting go and pulling me into a hug. Apart of me felt bad for leaving her but I'm sure after tonight we'd be back sooner than later to have another one of these types of nights.

"Don't forget to get y'all plates of f the counter I packed enough for everybody to eat it's just me here now" she said walking with us to the kitchen. I grabbed the bags off the counter and followed Ice to the door.

They hugged one more time before we walked out the door. It was like she was scared it'd be her last from him or something.

When we walked out he put his arm around me kissing my forehead.

"You enjoyed yourself? I know I kinda sprung this on you last minute but it came to me yesterday and I wanted to surprise you"

We both slid in the car before refocusing on each other. "I'm glad I met her now I see you a mama's boy" I said smiling big at him.

He shook his head laughing alittle bit, "Maybe I am just alil' bit but ain't nothin' wrong with that..now eating all that food got me needin' a work out or somethin' what you think?" He looked at me smirking and I smirked back starting the car for him.

"Maybe if you hurry up and get home I can try to make that happen for the both of us" I told him placing my hand on his leg.

Tonight just got even better.
