Percy Freaking Jackson

Harry's Dream, Dreamworld

Harry found himself standing in the center of the Hogwarts Grand Hall. How he got here or why he was here is beyond him. As he walks around, the same two voices he heard in his last dream decided to make an entrance.

"Harry," the soft, kind voice said, "don't listen to her. She's wrong."

Before Harry could ask who was wrong, he got his answer a second later.

"Witch!" The harsh voice said, and Harry didn't know if it was a girl or a boy talking, but he assumed it was a girl. "Do not fill his head with lies! Harry," the voice says, calming down a bit, "her words and where her loyalty lies is unclear."

Harry noted that the harsh voice emphasized the word unclear, and he makes a mental note to remember that.

"Harry," the kind voice says, talking to Harry like he's a small child, "do not mess with her." So the harsh voice was a girl. "You know the saying, if you mess with fire-"

"You get burned," the harsh voice chimes in, and Harry realized that the Grand Hall started to catch on fire. Harry found his legs moving away from Hogwarts, but he didn't make it. The fire consumed him, and he found his lungs burning...

Harry woke with a start. Ron was looking at him worriedly, and Harry just waved him off. Harry and Ron met Hermione and they walked downstairs. On the way down, they heard their new teacher's voice.

The voice, they realized, was their new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. They heard him sighing, "Yeah, yeah. I get it." The Trio heard another voice, sounding annoyed, and it seemed like Percy winced. "No need to yell, Wise Girl."

Hermione looks at them strangely, mouthing Wise Girl. Percy, apparently, doesn't realize his students are listening in on him, and he continues. "Mhm. Yeah, I'll do that. Bye, love you."

The conversation seemed to have ended, and the Trio heard footsteps. They immediately rushed away.

"What was that about?" Ron asked, voicing the Trio's thoughts.

Hermione sighs. "I don't know, but we shouldn't eavesdrop. It's rude, especially eavesdropping on a new teacher."

Ron snorted as he piled food onto his plate. "You never had any problem with it in our other years."

Hermione turns red. "That's different."

"Sure," Ron says, stuffing his face.

Hermione rolls her eyes, and looks at Harry. "So," she says casually, picking at her food with her fork, "Ron said you looked shaken up this morning. Is something wrong?"

Harry considers telling his friends his dream, as most of the time it pays off, but decides against it. It'd make them worry, and Harry wanted them to have a least one year at Hogwarts without coming close to death.Which might be hard to do when Harry thinks about it, a twinge of guilt piercing him, but waves it off.

So, Harry shakes his head, saying, "It's nothing, just couldn't sleep last night."

They don't seem to buy it, but Hermione shoots up from her seat, alarmed. "What is it?" Ron asked.

"I have Astronomy! I better get going, I'll see you after school!" And with that, she hurries off, leaving Harry and Ron to rush to DADA.

The class was just as fun as the last class, and Harry realized his teacher seemed to be very laid back, but also guarded, just like Mr.Weasley said. He didn't talk about his family much, which was fine by Harry. He, of all people, would understand.
