The noise of the helicopter was unbearable. It's loud roars filled the clamped space of its interior to the point where all of them had to yell to even be heard.

Thomas didn't understand how he was able to fall asleep through that, but at some point in time he did. His eyelids, firmly glueing shut as the darkness that consumed his vision gave out into the metal box of the maze.

It seemed so real.

The familiar screech of Grievers, the coolness that surrounded him, even the prick of sweat against his forehead played his mind like a violin. He should've known it was only a dream, but at the moment he was too paralized with fear to even think that way. His muscles, keeping him firmly planted in place as his heart frantically began to thrum against his chest. Each beat, almost matching up the wild click of the chains as they pulled him closer to the entrance of the Glade.

Thomas let out a half-hearted scream as the word "no" spewed from his lips. It was his last and final option. Although, the teen knew his cries really wouldn't change anything. A sharp flood of relief, washing over him as his horrors began to dissipate.

"WAKE UP! WE GOTTA GO! COME ON!"

Minho's face looked blurry and his voice was drowned out by the helicopter's ruckus, but somehow the teen was still able to do exactly what he was told. In a sluggish like motion, Thomas hurriedly propped himself up onto one arm before letting someone who waited outside help him out. Sleep, still a fresh glaze across his chocolate irises as the soldier grasped his wrist.

"You alright?" He asked. A yellow scarf and goggles, covering up most of his face. Thomas wasn't really sure how to answer that question so to relieve the man of his worry, he lightly nodded. His one free hand, gently hanging over him like a shield as they began to walk. But before the two of them could get too far away, the teen forcefully shoved his feet into the ground. A sudden realization dawning on him as his head began to clear.
