Heart To Heart

You were now all at the dinner table, and Blue had made tacos for everyone. "Papyrus!! Stop those puns dangit!" Blue screamed, you and Jessica jumped and looked at eachother. She smiled in amusement and you had to keep yourself from laughing. But if you had to be honest the only reason that it startled you was because of the thoughts racing through your head. Seriously you don't know why you weren't confused about all of this earlier. Is nobody going to bring up what just happend today? "Are you okay, (Y/N)?" You looked at Jessie. "We just got attacked by a bunch of skeletons Jessie, no I'm not okay!" You said quietly as everybody else talked. Jessie opened her mouth to speak but then she closed it and sat silently, as the words sank in. "How come your not questioning this!?" You said again, very frustrated about what happened. "I am but.. let's just talk about this later." Jessie said blankly. You sighed and continued to eat your food. You noticed, in the corner of your eye, Dream staring in your direction. You looked over at him and he quickly turned his head. You were curious but you didn't want to upset him or anything. You continued eating.

Time skip (I know I've never used time skip cause I never had the chance to)

You were in bed, awake in the middle of the night as usual, kept up by your overthinking thoughts. The human Chara slept in the bed on the other side of the room, they slept peacefully as you pondered everything that happend. You turned on your back and growled quietly as you got up and slowly opened the door. You walked out into the quiet and dark house. You were used to being home alone so you had to remind yourself that there's other people sleeping in the house as you walked down the stairs to get some fresh air. You were outside on the front porch of their house, staring down at the ground. You felt sad for some reason, well you were the only one questioning things, Jessie didn't seemed worried or confused at all it was frustrating. You heard a sigh from behind you and you turned to see who it was. It was just Dream, he looked up and then he jumped in suprise. "Oh sorry I didn't know you were up. Mind if I join you?" He said. "N-No I don't mind." You said stuttering a little. He stood next to you looking at the stars and you felt weird. It's that feeling again, it's like you wanted to scream or jump up in excitement??????? You didn't really know, give yourself a break you've never had a crush before. "Your.. up awfully late." Dream said, breaking the silence. "I-I could.. say the same for you." You said back. He giggled a little bit, and the odd feeling intensified greatly. "I guess I just needed to think for a moment." He said looking at you with a smile. You didn't know what this feeling was but you figured that trying to breathe normally would help you calm down. You took in a quiet breath and then replied. "Same here honestly." You said. "What would you be thinking about this late, if you don't mind me asking?" He asked. You sighed, still looking down. "I'm... still processing everything, and I'm just confused about this whole thing." You said. Dream stayed silent for a second. "I guess it was a little bit irresponsible to not explain everything. If you want we can explain things in the morning." He said. "Right now it's kind of dangerous for you to be outside." You looked over at him. "Why?" You asked. He sighed and then leaned closer to you and despite the heart attack it gave you, you leaned closer as well. "People like my brother are obsessed with power and if they get your soul they'll be really really powerful." Dream said. "What happens after my soul is taken?" You asked in a slightly worried tone. "Well.... you.. die." He said, and then he looked away and his hands clenched into fists. You're eyes widened a little. Death. The idea of death scared you. You didn't think that your life would be.. on the line. But then Dream turned back to you. "But hey, the way you handled getting attacked by Nightmare, Error, Killer, and dust!?" He then laughed. "I think you'll be fine especially with two guards and a friend by your side!" You giggled. "Two?" You said, if you recalled correctly, three monsters saved you. "Well me and Ink. Blue hasn't made a decision on if he should help or stay with his family." Dream replied. "Oh that makes sense." You said. "Ya know I never thanked for saving me from my brother back there. So.." He put a hand on your shoulder and you nearly jumped at the sudden contact. You looked up at him. "Seriously, he would've killed me if you hadn't bravely confronted him like that so, thank you so much. You really live up to your soul colors." You blushed madly and smiled. "Y-Your welcome Dream." He was blushing slightly too. "Well, we should probably get back to sleep, we've got a long day tomorrow." He said walking towards the door. You took one last look at the night sky, it really was beautiful tonight. You followed Dream back inside and closed the front door..

"So.. that's how it's gonna be. Isn't it?.... Fine.. you better be ready in the morning (Y/N)."
